I've replaced the ball, spring, did the tapping trick and also lapped inside the oil pump where the check ball sits and still no luck. I even swapped out with another oil pump and it is still spewing oil out the crankcase breather. Stumped here.
@@PhilsWorks I had no idea about that ball. I just thought it was something old Harley’s did haha. Thanks for the video man, I’ve watched every one. You are a wealth of knowledge. Cheers!

Great never knew about the pushrod, have used an old ball bearing with a drift, thanks for sharing Phil, super.
Yes my old buddy has an oil pump ball brazed to a rod as well. Few different ways but all the same outcome!
That bike is incredible man, and I love the color...
Thank you!
Yep the simplest way is often the best 👍🇬🇧
Too right!
Thats a nice pan
One of the nicest I've played with
The aluminum oil pump was not installed on a big twin until 1968.
All Flatheads, Knucks & Pans were cast iron.
They still have the same spring and ball in early cast iron pumps 👍🏻
Saw you lads out Glasshouse the other day. Was squealing like a little girl 😎
Oh you should have run us off the road or something 😂😂😂

Sometimes my shovel sumps and sometimes it doesn’t. But I’m always paranoid and put a pan under it if I haven’t fired it up in a while
Yeah you must need to replace the ball. Must be worn.
