@@simplyboppingK well I will say, after living in the hospital for over 7 months straight while my daughter battled a rough road of recovery from her BMT, it’s absolutely ridiculous is families have to pay. Our hospital charges $35/day. Talk about lack of compassion.

Ok, LOVED this video! I start my first day as a new grad nurse in the Pediatric ICU tomorrow! I live in South Florida so it definitely doesn’t snow here, lol. But I did go to Vail, Colorado in January for a week and that was enough snow for me for a while!

Living in Oregon means I knew exactly when that snowstorm hit, lol...we got ABSOLUTELY NO SNOW in Albany that day, but there was so much snow in Portland that I had to cancel an appointment I had in the area! I'm hopeful that sunny days are ahead.

You remind me of myself with this snow. I’m from Florida for 32 years. Just got married and moved to SC. His family lives in Wyoming and we have been going about every other year for Christmas and they have multiple feet of snow. The first time I ever saw snow I was 20 in Canada.
Ugh to paying to park, I have a main job in healthcare where I do 3-12’s then I have 4 jobs I moonlight at and 2 of them I have to pay to park at. One is $20 a day and the other is $18.75 a day. It drives me bananas as well. But it is Seattle so it’s just expensive here lol. I am so here for all the nursing content while you learn in your first job in our field! 😊
Omg I used to work at OHSU and I remember that parking nightmare! I used to park in the neighborhood by the waterfront/macadam and walk to the bus stop and take the bus to CHH then ride the tram to the hill EVERY DAY to avoid that parking! Haha 😅 thank you for this video and congrats on the job!!

Here in Colorado your snow looks like flurries compared to ours. I've been snowed in and had to drive in a blizzard where I can't see 5 feet in front of me. I had to drive 5 to 10 mph. Imagine how long it took to get home. In Colorado, there is no clouds, a few hours later your stuck a blizzard. The weather is crazy out here. You can get four seasons in one day.
I’m in Northern California and it snowed FIVE times this year. We’re lucky if we get a day. I like the snow a lot if I don’t have to be anywhere because I hate driving in it 😬

I did an accelerated program that was 15 months to get my nursing license after I got my human physiology degree at a 4 year school! I had done a lot of the prerequisites there, so in nursing school I just took nursing classes and got done quickly. Now I have a full time job and have about a 6 month orientation period :) hope that makes sense…so many routes into nursing so it can be confusing 😂
Most companies for the W9 you don't need a passport just a driver licenses and social security card. Maybe the place you work at has a different policy.
Squeeze a like or lemon in your apple after cutting so it doesn’t brown! I’m only a few minutes into the video so idk if you showed it after cutting it lol. But I do it the night before work and it won’t brown for days honestly
I'm an outside provider that goes up to the children's hospital pretty often for specialty clinics. For the big snow storm I got out pretty late and my little car couldn't make it on the hills coming down so I had to abandon it (in a safe place out of the way) and then walk for almost 2 hours 💀 the intersection from the road to the hospital and that goes towards the backside of the village was insane. I almost got hit by a car when I was on the sidewalk. So many wrecked cars...
No way. What a wild night that must have been. I will say I felt SO lucky my class got out at 4 because I heard so many people got stuck and had to spend the night at the hospital. I swear when the big storms come they give us no warning!

I use to work at a hospital. You said you don't have to pay at night. Where I worked you can pick a parking lot where they charge a different rate. It might be more of a walk but I had the option to take a shuttle. Not sure if it works where you work.

It sucks, but not unusual. Charging employees for parking is the new norm. They do it at universities too.
In germany we have to do it too it’s sooo annoying… like we have to park there! What are we supposed to do?? But we only pay 1€ per day… not 15 😱

Mine would take either the passport or social security card so I just had to find one of them 😂

I'm an outside provider that goes up to the children's hospital pretty often for specialty clinics. For the big snow storm I got out pretty late and my little car couldn't make it on the hills coming down so I had to abandon it (in a safe place out of the way) and then walk for almost 2 hours 💀 the intersection from the road to the hospital and that goes towards the backside of the village was insane. I almost got hit by a car when I was on the sidewalk. So many wrecked cars...
No way. What a wild night that must have been. I will say I felt SO lucky my class got out at 4 because I heard so many people got stuck and had to spend the night at the hospital. I swear when the big storms come they give us no warning!

I use to work at a hospital. You said you don't have to pay at night. Where I worked you can pick a parking lot where they charge a different rate. It might be more of a walk but I had the option to take a shuttle. Not sure if it works where you work.
Luckily I don't have to pay at night, I have definitely found the cheaper lot where I have to walk farther but it's worth it!
I start nursing school in about a month!

I live in northeast ohio and trust it has snowed. Plus I go to school in northwest Pennsylvania and it has snowed a bunch here too. I am not a huge fan of the snow but I still live in it 😂
