@@chloeandludvig 😄P.S: I am quite envious of your trip to Svalbard ! This is one of the (many) places I haven't been !.... 🙂( Been to Fiji, NZ and Aussie land, but never Svalbard)
I was already crushing on ludvig and then I saw him with the puppies.....if you two ever feel the need for a grandmother I'm totally willing to adopt you!
We are so happy that you guys are loving your plans with Kris and Nate. We hope your workouts are making you feel stronger with all the sea legs from the rough sea! 😆Thanks for sharing trainwell!
I love this series on Hurtigruten, brings back great memories for me and I have to do this trip! 3m swells is nothing. I had 6m swells across the drake passage and was also told they were nothing and tobe thankful its not 10m+ :-) But i did find myself rocked to sleep at night! Plus it was hard to walk down a corridor! Also agree the food on Hurtigruten is just the best. Its not cheap but i felt i got great value and an amazing experience. Definitely think i need to do an arctic cruise of some kind with them!
Hehe you should definitely try this route next! I’ve heard the drake passage is a tough one - makes me nervous 😬 we’ll be doing Antartica one day! It’s definitely not the cheapest but I think that’s the beauty - it’s amazing value and quality for money
I LOVE WATCHING YOU GUYS! BESIDES KARA & NATE / EAMON AND BEC. I love the sound of your voice and how you tell stories about your trip! Keep it up guys!!!
I am coming back to rewatch this video! I saw it at work with the sound off and closed caption on… but I had to come back and actually listen to it this time! Glad I did!
My grandfather was building railway in Ny-Ålesund in 1917, when we went there in 1972, they still had private money on all of Svalbard and only one shop, we came by private plane
Amazing as always. Did the dog company check the puppies after you left, judging by Ludvig's face I think he may of fallen for one pup at least lol. Not sure about the Bach on the coast lol
Thank you. You inspired me to book the same trip. So, today I booked the round trip for a voyage in June 2025. Looking very much forward to it. Did the Bergen - Kirkenes return trip this year on Havila Pollux. Great suite onboard, but (helas!) - they (Havila) need to brush up their service level (in my humble view).
The name Rutabaga stems from the swedish "rotbagge"...in Norway it's called kålrot ("kale root") or kålrabi. It looks like a yellowish/orange turnips. In norway it is closely associatated with Christmas, as about half the population eat "pinekjøtt" on Christmas Eve, basically lamb ribs with potatoes and mashed rutabaga.
Reason why you have to take off shoes inside is due to that Svalbard as s mining area. If you go to Longyearbyen will you see the same, even if you go to a hotel. Only way to keep coal dust away. Another fun fact is that people living there can buy as much wine they want, but only 24 bottles of beer every month. That tradition goes also back to the time when it was s mining town. Workers drank beer, while the civil servants drank wine. They couldn't trust the workers so they only got a case of beer
Now Ludwig, are you doing the Wim Hof method, or are you just a natural "ice man"? Trust me I know....I could not have been there without bathing. I'd regretted it for the rest if my life. 😅

If this doesn't tell us what all the wire less equipment potentially does (to us and our environment) in our daily life......🤯 At least it makes me think...🧐
@@LeNaInLoVe the equipment they'd be using would be so ultra sensitive, its really just to make sure that the experiments they do are as pure as they can be without outside interference. We get far stronger and far more electromagnetic radiation from the sun than we do from wireless equipment.
Your hubby is def a Scandinavian, we don't waste words !!! 😅🤣😂
My thoughts exactly😄
Hahahah he obviously is isn’t he - it all made sense when I lived in Sweden with him for a year.….

It was!😍
a Norwegian car show (Autofil) had an episode where they traveled to Pyramiden, an old abandoned Soviet town of Svalbard, this was back in the 2000s
Oh wow that sounds awesome!

Ahhh such great information! Thanks for sharing!!
Did you visit Cecilia Blomdahl? She had an awesome channel!
We love her channel! We didn't get to visit her as we had such a limited amount of time there and didn't get to go into the town itself - nest time ;)

Can I live on this ship with my 6 cats? Please?
Wouldn't it be great if you could bring cats onboard!

I hope u guys connected with Cecilia Blomdahl
I was planning on it but we weren’t able to get to the town itself with our full day excursion 😌
@chloeandludvig aw that's too bad next trip!
It’s not the most northern place Alert is farther north check the latitude
That's why I said it's the second... and that the northernmost place is in Canada... :)
