Correct!
Commenting here to remind everyone that, like Warno, SDII is a game made in France.
We all know that France did very well during the second world war

Nice alt you got there Hippie
@@duke7052 Literally, every country was taken aback by Germany’s new tactics. It has nothing to do with France. And all of Europeans still fought even after their country’s government surrendered.
If you ask me it takes more balls to fight as partisans than in the army. As a partisan, your entire family and village is subject to die by your actions due to reprisal from the occupying forces. Yet they were still there fighting oppression, with very little support.
PS: A little bit of bias since my family on my wife’s side were partisans. Fighting in the forest with their baby (my wife’s Father).
@@HoboTango We do also have to note that the British literally abandoned France. Britain unilaterally decided to evacuate its forces as it did and then decided to not to redeploy their troops further inland (this was possible and discussed). Would it have saved France? I cannot say.
But it means that France surrendered because they were alone. It's like it was in the Northern countries. They did their best but with no support they were cut down alone and felt forced to give up.
So, I dunno. If you wanna call France cowards you need to call the British cowards as well, as well as the Scandinavian countries minus the Finnish (different story).
HAHAHA
@AtkPwr - something occurred to me while I was watching your video again that makes me very happy: when was the last time that, of a DLC, the top four divisions were all armored/panzer divisions? Top four divisions, according your anticipated rankings (and not even close) - 4th Armored (US), 7th Armored (UK), 9th Panzer (Gr) and 1st SS Panzer (Gr). Coming out of the super-infantry META of the last few months, it’s very exciting to see armored divisions getting some love and, hopefully, with the rebalancing, being able to play all the divisions again.
It’ll be really exciting to see this Tuesday how all of this starts to shake out - very excited for this DLC.
I am pretty pumped about this DLC!
I get that its the least popular style of play but I wish people would think about how divisions work in non 10v10 team games. The vast majority of my experience with SD2 has been 2v2, 3v3, 4v4 matches with/against friends and random players and its honestly slept on as a playstyle. You get to experience a lot more scale than 1v1 and having teammates allows for specialized decks to be used more frequently without it being the utter crapfest that is a 10v10 game. Games end up being more about tactical maneuvers and coordination instead of the quick micro battles of 1v1 and the horde fest of 10v10.
They offer a unique perspective on how divisions can be played and its led me to like playing divisions that other people would probably call quite bad and avoiding divisions that I'm constantly told are top tier. Prime example from this DLC being 16th Luftwaffe which does struggle in 1v1 but when you have a teammate you can afford to flesh out support options and really play to the division's vast numerical advantage in air/inf/arty which is quite rare for a german division. Its honestly one of my favorite's.
I'm not throwing shade at anybody by saying this btw. Its a game thats meant to be enjoyed at the end of the day and that enjoyment takes many forms. Want short-intense micro duels where every unit lost is devastating? 1v1 is your game. Want to revel in the massive scale and grind alongside your teammates in an attritional style? 10v10 is right there. For me though I like the middle ground where your units still matter but so does coordination and being able to play for scale if you want to.
I suppose there is a balance between the actual reality of what the division fielded in WW2 and entertainment/game balance. You cant invent units if the division never had them - i do agree though-surely some unique interesting units should be possible- why reshuffle old commonwealth units to create a 'new' division.-its a tough one - i feel underwhelmed from what i have seen of these new divs-looking forward to updates more-cheers-thanks for your work
Thanks for watching!
The machine gun on the marder 1 in 716 was probably intentionally left unrepresented in game. The devs do pretty good research. German SPG crews were issued LMGs and when the SPG was stationary, concealed and ready to ambush. the crew would dismount and defend the perimeter around the SPG with small arms, including taking the lmg with them. These LMGs could be attached to the SPG while moving and that’s probably what got modeled.
Interesting point, that could definitely be true
Glad your opinion changed on 4th Armored US from your first impression. I'm hoping to get some wins from it!
Very solid division for sure
Arguing for some of the German divisions: their AA is their long-range infantry support. Especially with the Luftwaffe divisions, that's the point of their AA - to support normal army units with (Anti) Air units because someone leading German Air forces wanted to have some land divisions
Yeah the 88s, but the 88s really dont perform that well in game truth be told
Can you do a CQC weapon type or unit tier list please? It's so confusing which is better.
I will definitely try to get that out!
A lot of the German panzerjagers had mg slots, but usually werent issued with MGs. They were for air defense only really.
Interesting thanks!
Great video. I don't think DBSAS will be that bad though.
Having no 2k or not that many tanks isn't something that I care much about. I guess it comes down to matter of playstyle. Although I agree with you that the inf isn't too spectacular. Solid B/B+ is my guess
I would agree, I think it will be fine
I was looking forward to this
Thanks for watching!
100% unrelated to anything in this new DLC, BUT......
Are those new insignia I spy with my little eyes for Task Force 45 & Butler?
As a massive vexillology enjoyer myself, that is some glorious eye candy, if that is coming with the new patch (which I'm hoping for)
Yes, it’s supposed to update their insignias.
New patches in the new patch
Someone on the discord relentlessly hounded MadMat until they updated it.
They are new and improved!
2nd panzer will probably be a 10v10 juggernaut powerhouse
That is where the sheer volume of upvetted units will kick in. 1v1 Games are too short to see real benefit.
no good arty, no phase A tanks and no IS-2 answer will hurt it even there
If you can get through A phase
Love to hear it. My thoughts is quick what do you think will be the S tier?
Also when it comes to AA I think "weak aa in this div" is overrated as most times its that they only get 2 cards of AA. But how often do you bring a 7th AA gun in a game? Unless its a true grindgame where your aa keep dying thats not happening in most games. Hence I dont see it as that big of a weakness unless you try to play the grindplaystyle.
I dont see an S tier here honestly. I still think 1st SSB and 1st ATF will still be S tier
Do you have a video if you change your mind about the Tier list?
after playing the new DLC for a bit, I can definitely say that this definitely buffed the axis to a significant degree. Playing LSSAH and 2nd Panzer just feels easy, and team games with Guards Armored and Desert Rats make them shine. The new american decks feel a bit lacking, but they're pretty fun and have good flavor. DBSAS is trash, Luftlande is on par with other FsJager divs and Festung is a king of the forest and city. 16th Luftwaffe is a 10v10 stomper and will overwhelm most anything in the allies in late game if there's 2-3 players on it. Overall good dlc but overpriced due to no new maps. Lack of large team maps is still what kills this game imo.
Maps are definitely one of the big issues with the game and they will unfortunately never be fixed
Id like to see a new division tier list for sd2
It will happen soon enough!
@@atkpwrgaming Hell yeah
Does Taskforce 45 got new division emblem?
Yes it does!
Can’t wait to play 101st without feeling the guilty of exploiting an S tier division. This div won’t be easy to get good and I’m gonna love it.
The AT guns are still stupid as heck
Vulcan's about to destroy you with 716. Infantry😆
Most definitely!
guess i i will wait for this to be on sale
ITS ON SALE :D
In 2.PzDiv and LSSAH why you don't take one card of Panther G instead of A? They seem to have same numbers per card, I know APCR is not very good but considering you don't have strong 2k AT in these divs maybe it would be useful in this case?
I literally just threw these together is the main reason. The panther G does have lower availability I thought
Has the rating changed yet?
Pumas weren't really nerfed. You just pay 5P for APCR and 5 points is barely noticable on vehicles.
Pumas were weak before due to the high cost and 8hp. Now they cost even more and the APCR is most often not relevant unless it drives buddy with a real tank.
APCR on this vehicle is also not that noticeable. It will improve its TD role, but only on the defence and with a high micro tax. For all other purposes it is just a 5 pts nerf for a vehicle that will fire once and then be destroyed + the puma isn't effective vs inf
@@CosmicLegion exactly. The combo of low hp and gun with lowered damage, which means no ability to one-shot-kill a tank makes it unable to hold flanks and act as stand-in for light tank like Eugen seems to think it is, it will always lose vs actual tank unless heavy micro is at play
@@czwarty7878 It has the potential for oneshot kills tough with RNG on apcr but thats not very likely
@@CosmicLegion well leaving it to less than 5% chance of this crit occuring, still leaves the main point, it's not able to hold flanks and duel tanks
"Very little support" is 5 cards for you^^ Meanwhile many of my divs have 2-3. Commander, supply and if avaible 2k HE^^
Then you're not using support category to it's full potential
You often need an HMG for area denial and garrisoning important buildings, flamethrower squads for bolstering weak CQC abilities, and preferably card of light and heavy HE slinger (like leIG18 + siG33/Grille combo) for maximum cost efficiency depending on needs
@@czwarty7878 I often use MGs if I can't afford enough infantry cards. Flamers just die too fast for me.
It is limited with only 5 slots to have everything, its annoying
Considering what you say about DBSAS, I think this one might be a candidate to be played in VfV.
Very possible actually!
No "hellooooo 2nd Armored" :(
Very nice haha
Good Video
Thank you!
