I cooked it often since it was a one pot meal with sausage, carrots, onions + sometimes potatoes. I've never had it baked.

I am a pasty white raised in the South under ‘country’ (soul) food. I’ve since converted to the Mediterranean foodstyle. So… I make my former Southern foods a la Mediterranean. With cabbage and collards I’ve replaced the lard (dee-lish-us!) I grew up with with chopped onions, minced garlic and gallons (exaggeration) of EVOO. I cook them in the large cast iron skillet with a cover. Cooks down in no time. I can plow through a 2 pound bag of collards in two eatings

I’ve had baked cabbage. It was sliced flat like a steak on a sheet pan. Then had bacon strips on top and drizzled with balsamic. It was delicious. I love cabbage and will definitely make the recipe in the video.

I love baked cabbage...I use thick slices of cabbage topped with thinly sliced carrots in sticks, onions, cajun spices & olive oil. Halfway thru baking I take the top off so it can get a little crisp. I'm going to try yours...it sounds delicious!

It is after 4:00 O’clock in the morning and it’s already in the oven. I cooked mines in my Dutch oven My Sunday dinner is BBQ ribs and chicken in the crock pot it’s just finishing up. Later I will make my hot cornbread with my sliced Tomatoes. I can eat those all day long. Right now It’s to hot down here in Tx. To want to be bother with oven or the stove. Besides I always like to cook my dinners early in the morning just like my grandma use to do. And while everyone is asleep. Get it out of the way I say. And thank you kindly for this recipe.

My mother used to make baked cabbage and she would make ground beef and tomato sauce to serve on top of the cabbage. A sort of deconstructed stuffed cabbage.
I love baked or fried cabbage. But, I still add some bacon grease to mine. Plus butter. I add orange and red peppers instead of green, because I’m allergic to green peppers. But, oh, yes, cabbage is so delicious. Thanks.
