- Several horses had the run of central London on Wednesday morning (Apr 24), after they reportedly escaped while exercising at a ceremonial parade ground close to Buckingham Palace. They have since been contained and accounted for, according to local police. Details: cna.asia/3Wc7gMS

I think them 2 got euthanized from what i been hearing unfortunatly.

You said it in your comment. They’re for the Horse Guards , Royal duties at the Palace etc. There’s loads of videos on here of people interacting with them and the guards when they’re on duty
@@goodnightvienna8511 send like allot of work for Royal duties alone, I know the NYPD still uses them and it is ridiculous, the amount of money and time spent on them is ridiculous, I'm sorry I just don't see the practical use today, they are beautiful animals, and people on farms in America still use them allot, but it's practical to do so, I don't see the practical use for them in the military or in cities anymore,
@@DABinCHRIST i agree with you in principle, however they are cared for well as far as I know as it’s a disciplinary offence otherwise and you don’t join a Guards / mounted Regiment unless you love horses.The UK has a tourist economy and the horse guards are part of that. Until people no longer show interest in having themselves in photos with them, the Army will continue to use them in a visible manner.

Apparently it had to have surgery and is being treated by the Army but they dont know if it will be able to return to service yet.

Apparently it was a loud noise from a construction site. The horses are well trained to deal with a big city, but one panicked,.four others followed. They are now all back in stables and doing well.

The horses belong to household cavalry, & were on morning exercise when construction worker threw rubble from building spooking horses, they threw of military riders & bolted, running into a bus & car. Eventually caught & received vetenary care, some have returned back to duty and couple still under going care. Riders went to hospital but doing OK..
