I wonder if Filipinos who are "lucky" enough to emigrate to the U.S. immediately get back on the plane and come back because of politics, woke women and inflation?
They emigrate to the U.S.A. for opportunties- those we take for granted.... Public education without the corruption of teachers and administrators making money on the side; public safety without having to have money in your pocket for tea money at checkpoints if you have minor infraction; fleeing corruption at all levels of government- barangay to the presidency; getting their kids into STEM for their pursuit of career skills in high demand in the U.S.A.; For us seniors, getting a casual job in the U.S.A. is simple. Walmart, Amazaon, McDonalds, security guard services- all hire seniors, unlike in the Philippines where it's very difficult to get a job if you are over 30. Even in the professional fields like teaching, there's less age discrimination than in the Philippines. Filipinos aren't concerned with our poltitics. Look what they are coming from! Wokeness? They are open to new, progressive ideas. Inflation? Well, they have it in the Philppines, and with stagnant wages, it's much worse than in the U.S.A. For those of us expats who are retirees and living in Southeast Asia, Central and South America, Caribbean islands, it's not the poltiics, wokeness, or inflation that drove us to these 3rd World countries. No, it's the fact that our pensions and other income sources are on a 1st World scale which gives us spending power to live a good life without having to work, or do side jobs as retirees. Bascically, cheap labor = lower cost of living... That simple.

Ted had coffee from the 7-11 and had his gf with him
Thanks for the video brother. Good information my friend
No problem 👍
Great video. That was very good of you to help that man. I agree that you can't give to most beggars, but that man was fending for himself and not bothering people. Here in Boston, my Filipina wife takes the hungry beggars into the fast food place and let's them order their own food. She is smart enough not to give them money that they will most likely spend on alcohol or drugs. Most situations in the Philippines are different. That man was just trying to survive.
thanks for sharing Brain

No matter what you are still a quest in there country follow their laws and you are doing a great job of informing us other foreigners thank you so much and God bless you
They can always ask you to leave
Mike thanks

You are the walking gospel. The salt of the earth.
not I'm Not but it did feel good to help someone not asking for help
You’re retired. What else you got to do but wait in line? A fixer is the way to go.
i always have someone help me
If you really think about it the fixers aren't that much money and they can really help a lot when you need specific things that you don't know how to get yourself. Especially if they make you run up the manila for anything that would be horrible. Just depends if you want to go for around for weeks i'm getting paperwork and everything are just see the guided does it everyday for a couple hundred bucks
wonder if impounded bikes can be bought?????.....repair and re sell?
I do not know
again you know nothing about the Philippines ...when they do sell them you get a clean title and 1 year registration

@@mikesphilippineretirement poor guy. hopefully it’s just a bad dream.
i guess $800 is not enough. okay. Good to know.
$800 for what is not enough?
@@mikesphilippineretirement SSDI. That is my income. I wish I could be in the PI. But with a few chronic illnesses and only $800 I am too poor for the PI and terribly poor for the US. It sucks!
No matter what money level you're looking at coming over remember like write up at the top of the list is there are no social services virtually,! Get sick it's on you. Problem with the lights on you stuff like that.$800 in the dumaguete area going to live like a nomad. Out of a backpack.
Skin tax...... 😅😅😅😅 I like that!

Not - a - tourist....that is the price! Retail Price: White Potato: Philippines data was reported at 136.050 PHP/kg in 15 May 2024. This records a decrease from the previous number of 137.550 PHP/kg for 30 Apr 2024
good one Mike
Thanks Danny
Charity begins at home. If I had 500 pesos, I would share it with my parents, siblings, nephews and nieces instead of a random person I saw for 30 seconds on the street. I don't know if that person was deserving or if he was a wife beater, chomo or taxi driver at MNL.
you talk like that is my last 500 peso...
@@mikesphilippineretirement That is a day's back breaking work for your FIL. 😞
@@ExtraGuac007 Jesus taught us that it is more blessed to give than receive and to judge not lest you be judged. Who are you to determine whether or not a person is deserving of help? Think about others rather than yourself, you'll be happier as a result.
@@KC-in9px Didn't Jesus teach you to treat your family better than a stranger that you saw for 30 seconds? You can certainly judge your family member better since you've known them your entire life. I understand your stance since you put God before family.
@@ExtraGuac007 No, that's not what Jesus taught us.
That is so stupid foreiners paying 2 months security deposit and not saying know sets themselves jp for getting scammed being gullible and landlords see that and makes other landlords see that and know what tbey can get away with for others . I would just walk just go make my point there will be other rentals
i paid 2 months deposit in all 3 places I rented....good luck to you
I wonder if Filipinos who are "lucky" enough to emigrate to the U.S. immediately get back on the plane and come back because of politics, woke women and inflation?
no they get to work and plan on bring back as much money as they can and take care of the family
Life is too good for them in the U.S.A.
