Thanks for saving me who knows how much money from a repair company. I feel more in control of my house.
Glad to help😊😊😊
I just want to reach out to you thank you so much you don’t know how much this means to me and my wife really appreciate your help and your knowledge you have a great day
Thanks so much Tony😊😊😊
❤thank you for sharing your video. Hopefully I can repair my problem. Being 76 years old might be a bit of a problem, but I'm going to give it a try.
Does the main control board supply the voltage to the water valves ?
Can you send that same question to my email at:
Scottthefixitguy@yahoo.com
I have a fairly new Maytag top load washer MWB35 (model number) and it has no visible water level once the machine stops filling and begins the wash cycle. I was told it is due to federal standards of water conservation. My clothes are dirtier after I wash them.
They normally since how hard it is to spin and use that to determine how much water to add.
Thanks!!
You’re welcome 😊
My Maytag isn’t giving me water. How did you isolate the problem to the inlet valve? When the washer went out, we did a load right before with no problem.
Did all the water from last load drain out?
great tip! thank you
Thank you👍
Thank you very much, it helped me a lot.
Glad it helped!👍😊
BEFORE YOU REPLACE THIS VALVE ASSEMBLY, CHECK THE FUSE. IT IS A 1A 250V 312. IT IS BEHIND THE TIMER.
There should be 24 v DC to the valve when the fill cycle is on.
Thanks 👍
Great advice. My water quit working this morning opened up and looked at the schematic and sure enough my fuse was blown.
I switched out my water control but still no water. I only run cold water in it and cap the hot water inlet...thoughts?
Hi Mark,
I think the lid switch may need to be replaced 👍
Seems highly unlikely that both hot and cold would quit at the same time, could this be a timer issue?
I figured it out, there is a fuse behind the control panel that blew.
Does this 285805 water inlet valve fit Maytag LAT8214AAE Washing Machine?
My issue is that I want it to fill up to deep fill and it doesn’t do it Maytag top load w agitator
Thanks Karen, can you send me that same question to: scottthefixitguy@yahoo.com
Hi i have maytag, mvw7230hw0,
I select any wash mode, its sensing, then agitates, no waterfill and like a minute its say washing complete. I order a clutch donut piece i qas told from a site, still same thing. Will this be my problem?
I had a leak that was going on at the bottom from a hoses but now my washer isn't filling I called a repair company they think it's the timing thing help
Probably just need a new fill valve👍
@@QuickAndEasy5MinuteAppliance this water value has like a power supply to it
I had turned down the water pressure to my house, thinking it would save me money. But it made my Maytag washer not fill up. As soon as I increased the pressure coming in to my house, the washer resumed functioning normally.
Nice job😊
Water goes in mine it just won’t hold it what could be my problem
Just take the drain line that’s going into the wall drain and pull it up by about 6 inches and then it won’t drain while it’s filling
My valve assembly is not accessible from the exterior of the machine. I have the glass top model.
Can you send a video of that to my email at: scottthefixitguy@yahoo.com
You get it fixed?
With my washer it won’t start/fill with water but if you put the washer on spin it’s spins 🤦🏽♀️
I’m having same problem…did this fix it?
Mine was the washing sensor switch
What codes did you have?
@@Cruising200 no codes older washer but replacing that washing sensor fixed my problem,
@@brianawilson1920 ok thanks
