That's my washer & it's doing the exact same thing with the cold water. My grandson was going to bring it to the relair shop.I think I can fix my washer.
That makes sense. Just discovered this morning that I have no cold water coming in but knew the rinse cycle on my machine has not worked for months. Now I need to replace the hoses and valve and I should be OK. Even the repair man never thought of this. Thank You.

I wholeheartedly agree with Samurai! I'm on a well, too and had to replace the well pump last month. I tried an A. O. Smith pre water filter and a 5 micron filter cartridge. Good video, however, I have to politely beg to differ on the hoses. An insurance company did a study and found that both the rubber and stainless steel hoses have issues. They tend to last about the same amount of time. Burst hoses are a leading cause for home owner's insurance claims. It is in the interest of the insurance company to have the home owner change hoses more often than needed. No flood, no pay out, the cost is pushed onto the homeowner. There is no incentive to save the home owner money. The people who sell the hoses love it too. The study found that hoses almost always fail at the connections. If you check the connections about twice a year and ensure that they don't look corroded, then odds are the hose is still good. One of the reasons the connections fail is that the rubber washer that goes between the screw on end of the hose and the shut off valve connection dries up and begins to fail. When that washer fails, water begins to leak onto the crimp part of the hose connection. The crimp starts to rust away and eventually the hose bulges and bursts at the crimp and hose connection. If you replace the 10 cent washers regularly on the hose connections and regularly do a visual inspection of the hoses, they will last many years. The washers are the same ones you use for the end of a garden hose. I currently have rubber hoses that have been installed for 15 years.... they still look great. Save yourself some money and replace the 10 cent washers.
Nice Job and good suggestions. I had this problem at my house and bought new valve $58.00 then remembered that previous owner put washer screens on the tap side of supply hose I renewed cold for $3.00 flow much improved cant return the valve, ugh!
You just saved all my clothes!!!! Thank you so much for your extremely comprehensive video. I've never fixed a washing machine before, but this made it so easy and now my roommates are very impressed as well :D !!!
I had my black rubber hose bulge and flood my home on a Saturday night. I have had steel hoses with an overflow stop valve for 10+ years. No issues since
Good video I would add one additional step though, after connecting the hoses to the supply I would flush the lines into a bucket to clear any debris that may have been lodged in the supply valve.
BROTHER, THANK YOU SO MUCH! As luck would have it....I have this same machine! You saved me much money! I subscribed. You should setup a PATREON....I would donate to it!
Ok mine is doing the same thing and it’s only 2 months old, so brand new, but we have horrible well water, rusty crap that gets built up quickly even in my sinks, I need to clean the screens constantly. We even have a water filter hooked up to our tank. Not sure what hood that does. But I use a spray bottle with a sharp stream with vinegar and a tooth brush and it cleaned it up pretty good. My screens didn’t have tabs to pull them out like some videos showed and I didn’t wanna break it. Hot water is fine. Cold works better now, thanks!
I am on well water, I have a sediment filter on my cold water line on my washing machine and about every 3 months I have to change the filter, disconnect the line from the filter to the washing machine. I then take tissue paper, and rub out the inside of the washing machine side connetor or the valve, I have been doing this for 10 years now, no problem with destroying the valve.
Jerry Dickens And some people win the lottery. You've been lucky so far. I'm just explaining the physics of how these valves work and their vulnerabilities.
So I bought a Kenmore Front load washer a few months ago from Sears. I had been behind on laundry because the old washer was dying. I’ve been in a heavy duty declutter and Spring cleaning streak. Just preoccupied and behind. I was thrilled to get a new washer. I haven’t been staying to watch the cycle and don’t get clothes out for a few hours. I ran a hot water cycle yesterday. Transferred load. Noticed the clothes were warm and steamy. I thought I would automatically have a cold water rinse. Anyway, I threw in my purple comforter and selected cold wash. I ran back upstairs to gather trash for garbage day. Eventually came back down and was surprised to see a fogged up glass. I opened the washer. My comforter was clean but still very warm. I took it out, put it in the dryer. Threw in a couple of my dogs blankets, selected cold cycle. I let the washer start and get into the cycle. Then I pushed “add items” and when I reached in, my glasses fogged up. I then felt the blankets. They were very hot. I am sure it was a mistake, but it appears my technician somehow mixed up the hoses. I had been baffled why my gas bill had been going way up even though I use an energy efficient washer with much shorter cycles. My hot water heater is a gas unit. I didn’t imagine my clothes fading and understand now why my gas bill has been steadily going up when it’s historically been my lowest bill period. I guess I need to go through my paperwork and call them. Bad enough the cost of the hoses isn’t included in the price for the unit. They cost an additional $35 or $40. $75 for delivery and an additional cost to have a technician do the installation. He made a human mistake, however now I have to call them and argue about it. I’m just venting. Don’t be rude when you @me.
Clean both of the screens in each inlet inside the washer hose inlet. There are two screens for each cold and hot on the washer.. One is inside the machine inlet that you can't see, and one outside the machine that you can barely see, it has a tab you pull out. Use a flashlight and look inside the inlet tube or nipple that's threaded, after you take the first screen off you'll see it.. My inside screen was clogged bad. Both hoses were good I saved, didn't need new hoses... All fixed.
my amana has done this for a long time, i thought something was wrong with the washer because i would set it on cold and it would never finish the load and just stop and i would keep restarting it, so realized it would work when i put it on hot, i like saving money tho and using cold water, and we do have a well so maybe this is the answer! thanks so much for the video God Bless
Is there a way to check that this is the issue before going out and buying a new one? I have a duet front loader that washes on warm (not on cold), stops at the rinse, so as you say, a cold water issue. But how do we know this thing itself is the problem? Thank you so much for the tips about the rubber hoses and not cranking the wrench too much when putting the hoses back in.
Loved the video. I just had this problem, and went online to diagnose it. The first site I went to suggested cleaning the screen. I did this and it now flows great. I guess I will find out next wash whether it overflows. I don't think there was any gunk behind the screen. At least not any that couldn't go though the screen anyway. I mean any particulates small enough to go through the mesh shouldn't jam the valve. We will see. I will watch it closely next fill up. It was a hand me down washer. So if I have to replace a few parts, no biggie. Now if I could just get my dryer to run, LOL.
This page explains: fixitnow.com/wp/2005/10/23/how-to-open-a-whirlpool-or-kenmore-direct-drive-washer-how-to-take-apart-washer-washing-machine-disassembly-washer-repair/
I have a similar problem that deviates slightly from your description. I have a DWM99W danby washer. The cold water does seem to flow just fine, but for some reason the washer won't fill up with cold water. It will start to fill and get to a fairly high water level, and then slowly drain of water at a certain point (maybe when I open to check the level a sensor resets it?) so it will continuously try to fill but never finish. It would run all day trying to fill if I didn't intervene. So I can't ever wash anything on a cold setting now. It will fill fine on the warm/cold setting, but it won't progress once it hits the rinse phase. Perhaps that's because it can't fill up with cold water. I have to manually move the knob to the next phase for it to progress. Do you have any diagnosis for this kind of issue?
On my old washer I just took the filter screens out and cleaned them. On my new one, the screens are held in with plastic and I can't get them out. I can rotate them but they don't seem to unscrew or anything. Maybe I should just pry them out and hope for the best.
this is a great video! I have this exact same issue with my washer. I do have a question. Are the water fill valves universal for all washers or they are brand/model specific? THANKS SO MUCH!
The cold hose comes to a Y in back and the hot, it's own Y. I just had to remove each hose from the cold water Y and let the pressure shoot out into a bucket, reattached both hoses and it runs fine now.
thanks bro this is great. mine has been in service since 95. something was up, but after i took the hose off checked the filters and unplugged it etc. it started filling normally. BUT might need to replace if the solenoids etc are going bad. AND good tip on the hoses, will be replacing my rubber ones here sooner than later.
We bought a used front load kenmore Elite and besides fixing the drain pump motor now it barely fills up with water I don’t know if it’s me or it is slow in the beginning I saw more water, right now the clothe turns with no water they do get wet but seems like the water don’t stay, there’s suppose to be water in there and I only see a very small amount like almost nothing, we will check it out and see what’s up!
This is a great question-- I was hoping someone would ask it! The potential problem with cleaning the screens in the valve is that some of the grit and gookus on the screen would get pushed back inside inside the valve and potentially jam up that piston. If this happens, it would cause the valve to stick open, unable to close itself even when power is removed. The result is a flood. A homeowner could do this and take their chances. However, the risk of a flood remains. As a professional appliantologist, I cannot do this because, if a flood were to occur after I worked on the machine, I would be liable (last one to touch it) and there would be a question as to whether or not my liability insurance would cover me in such a situation.
SamuraiRepairman actually I cleaned my screen and the flow of water didn't change... The screen was very simple to remove and clean but I figured that gunk had gotten in past it , and that's why my water flow had no change... Thank you for your help , now I know what part to buy.. :)
@@pricillaturrentine3009 Yeah just another thief up charging new pump when cleaning would've been fine..on top of that he's replacing a pump with one that isn't the same as original smh..
For some like us… If I were to take the approach of changing out the valve every time the cold side plugged up (we’re talking weeks, and have been for 30 years…) I’d be tempted just to scrap the shrouding for quicker replacement access.
I'm guessing this is my problem. Had a huge water repair in my subdivision. I did not test the machine before the plumber's came to fix low water pressure in kitchen. I have hot water but trickling cold, exactly like in this video. Looks like I just need to clean out the valve. The association is supposed to send the plumber back to fix the machine but I haven't heard anything from them since reporting the issue on Monday night. I'll try this as everything was functioning properly prior to the water fiasco. I even had to buy a valve seal ($3) for one of the toilets, because the tank kept overfilling.
Is it really necessary to replace the valve? I just spray undiluted vinegar into the openings of the value and it seems to dissolve the sediment away. Works like new again.
This is awesome! Thank you kind sir, I really appreciate this educational video. I have the hoses you just installed and couldn't figure out what was going on with the cold water not flowing in. The appliance guy didn't show or call came appointment day and I have been a little worried about the issue since I can't even keep the cold water valve on or it will cause a flood. Anywho, thanks again for your time and efforts in making and uploading this video.
The problem shown on your video is what is happening to our washer. However, the filter screen valves are spotless clean. What is odd is that when the water in the washer starts to trickle, if we turn on the cold water on the laundry tub right next to it the water will run into the washer normally.
A soft bristled brush and i was able to clear mine . I am not looking to replace any parts honestly . The washer is super old . It is running well for now .
On our top loading GE washer, the cold water is not filling at all when I turn it to cold. It won't even start. Warm and hot do though. I turned the timer to rinse, and it fills with cold water so I am not sure whats going on.
Any ideas if you replaced the water valve and still have the problem? No cold water in wash cycle. But will get cold in rinse. Everything I read said it was the solinoid. After I replaced it though no change.
The valve probably isn't getting voltage during wash. You'll need to troubleshoot this. We can help you troubleshoot this problem in the Appliantology repair forums. See this page to get started there: appliantology.org/topic/51337-getting-started-at-appliantology/
I have a similar problem. The cold water doesn't come out at all. I unscrewed the cold water and there is no sediment in the filter. I'm hooked up to a city line too. What else could it be? Please help I'm a week behind on laundry 😢
Same problem but I have a brand new washing machine!!!!! I can only wash my clothes in HOT water and they're starting to get balled up and ruined - especially my work clothes!!!
@@kv2723 If you're washing the clothes with no cold water getting to them, they're not being rinsed. All cycles use cold water to rinse. I'm havin the same issue.
Hi - I have a friend who described a problem similar to this. However, she couldn't get cold water on cold, but could on Cold/Hot. That doesn't sound like what this would solve, which is effectively a plugged valve. What do you think that could be? Also, where do I find replacement parts?
Thank u thank u thank u so very much! I have a question, my faulty inlet valve has a thermistor, and my new one doesnt. I installed the new one and didnt connect the wires that were in the old thermistor, it seems to work fine. Can you tell me if this is ok if i use it like that or should i buy a new valve with a thermistor?
@@waffleone3 i dont remember i just put the new inlet valve without the thermistot and taped up the wires. It works fine i only use cold water anyways. i believe it is to regulate hot water or something like that. Been working fine a couple years so far.
One other problem you may want to check. My hot and or cold water ran slow. Paid about $50 for a new water valve...installed it, and water still ran slow. Problem....the water hose from the outlet to the inlet valve was one of those metal wrapped hoses. I took it off and noticed it has plastic screens in both ends of the hose. On a hunch and a prayer i drilled out the two screen in each end of the hose...works fine now. The slightest little trash will slow down the water flow in the hose. If you don't want to go to the trouble of drilling out the little screens...go to your local hardware store and buy the cheap rubber hose for about $10 with no screen in either end. Cheaper than a $50 fill valve. You dont need screens in the hose anyway...the fill valve has them in the inlets. Check your hose first!!!! Danny the dope. DOH!
I have to manually turn off my cold water. cold cycle will not fill or cut off automatically. so if I don't babysit my washer it floods my utility room. Hot water works just fine
Do you have a video for when no cold water comes in at all? No hum, no sound, nothing. No response. When it gets to the rinse cycle it clicks over to that cycle then clicks a 2nd time to off. Seems it could be the board
Well I just spent the last 30 mins doing this I also cleaned out the screens on both h/c hoses still didnt fix my problem might u have any other suggestions??
Had this problem with cold water not working about 6 months and and we replaced the the inlet valve and it worked fine after that. Now, probably only 6 months later or less it is happening again. Do you know why it would be happening again?
So I have the same problem, but my filter is clean on the washer and I've checked both ends of the supply lines and they are clean too, what else could it be?
Oh my gosh this is exactly what my darn machine does. Yup im in a well. Too bad you dont live in north fl i would totally have you fix my machine. How much do you chrage to fix this issue
Great video, thanks! I was going to ask about cleaning the screen but scrolled down first and saw your response. We have been pulling the garden hose into the house to fill it up but now because of your video I'm confident I can fix it the correct way!
Hi guys. I have a Maytag machine. Everything works perfectly fine except that it takes water on rinse as usual but doesn't take any water on the rinse cycle. Help please.
My washer had a hot water flow problem so I bought and installed a new water valve block. The hot was still slower than the cold. I then took apart the old water valve block. To my surprise the hole in the hot water side was only half the size of the cold water side. The hot water side had a factory built in flow resistor. What is up with that? I took a drill bit and made the hot water side the same as the cold and reinstalled the old block. I have cut the time it take to fill by half. What is the reason for the flow resistor on the hot water side?
i have whirlpool washer has very slow water fill at rinse cir. on any position on temperate setting very first at beginning time at fill and flow are fast, only problem at rinse cir.so change water inlet valve still doing same, than i change water temperate switch (USED)still ding same, but i can move timer back to start position it will fill fast i don`t know what is really problem are?
I have a 2 and a 1/2 year old BRAVOS MAYTAG.......I use the bulky setting mostly and the water temp is set at "Cold" but only HOT water goes in, even the rinse is HOT. The cold water works on other settings. Is this a computer issue? I have an extended warranty that ends in May.
Same here with my brand new Kenmore washer. Not to mention that I've been washing my clothes and delicates in scalding hot water now for months without realizing it. My warranty ends in June. Repairman scheduled for Friday. I should have kept my 11 year old model - LOL
You can just clean those screens out; don’t need to replace the whole valve. Poke out gunk with a flathead screwdriver, then use a spray bottle of vinegar and baking soda (or even just water) to get the rest clean. Cost: zero. I absolutely agree about the rubber hoses; get rid of those! If you have a finished basement and your washer hose blows out you will regret not spending a few dollars and the time it takes to replace those water supply lines with reinforced nylon ones. Just buy them at the hardware store; a simple diy job. The first thing the insurance adjuster will check is whether you have rubber supply lines to your washer, and the insurer will not pay a dime for the cost of repairing and replacement of damages to your finished basement (or wherever your washing machine is).
What are your thoughts on installing a water/sediment filter to a washing machine/ dishwasher. I had thoughts on using a culligan home water filter (the kind plumbed in before a water heater) solely for the washer because my water heater doesn't have enough room to instal it. FYI specific brand I was considering was a hf-360
I wholeheartedly agree with Samurai! I'm on a well, too and had to replace the well pump last month. I tried an A. O. Smith pre water filter and a 5 micron filter cartridge. It clogged up with sediment within 2 days. I then tried a 2-pak of 20 micron cartridges ($9.88 at Lowe's). I sprayed the washing machine screens and sucked out a ton of sediment & rust. I put the hoses back on and it's incredible how much of a difference the filter and the screen cleaning has made!
Does It matter which hose you use. I just bought new hoses not the same That came With The Washing Machine. I'm Hearing Hammering Alot. Would it be wise to use the same hoses. Asking For A Friend.
sigh.... fix one thing, break another. at least all my appliances are as old as me and CAN be serviced, bests buy a new appliance. anyways, thanks for posting this video, i came from cleaning the filters but now im sure this is the issue!
I have a GE washer that is doing this. The strange thing is if I cut the water supply when its running and turn it back on the flow is fixed for about 1 minute but then it progressively slows down. The same thing happens if I turn the machine off and back on again but not if I just cycle the water temp switch. The inlet screen on mine was removable so I checked it and it was clean. I also checked the screen on the hoses and they were clear as well. What is going on here?
I have same problem. Same washer as in video. Water flows for just a bit then slows down to trickle. Turn off. Try again and water starts ok but slows down to trickle. I cleaned screens from original valve ( well water), didnot help. I tried replacing just the coils. With coils from a used valve that could not be used due to stripped threads. (You can do this, yes but would not reccomend) No help. So I ordered a new valve wit the funky metal bracket off Ebay. Installed, same thing , starts ok but slows to trickle several hours to fill! I checked hoses, plenty of flow when disconnected from valve. I have about 45 lb pressure. Also, i do not have hot water running to this washer, only cold. HELP!!
Hey, I took the new fill valve and checked it. Found cold side gunked up again after just a couple runs. Cleaned the screen, works good now. Also ran some watwe thru the disconnected hoses before hooking them back up. It will probably clog again but at least now I know what to do to fix it.
I replaced the inlet valve and the cold ran fine, for about 3 weeks. Now it's right back to where it was before I replaced the valve. What am I missing?
My new valve did not even make it past the first load and had same low flow problem. Puled valve, screen gunked again. Cleaned, now its ok. Also ran some water thru both black hoses into a bucket before re connecting.
The washing machine in my home only has one hose and I believe it's connected to the hot water. How do I fix this? It's shrinking my clothes! And I'd rather wash in cold. What tools would I need?

Hello and thank you for this advice! Still not perfect but my hot n cold are reversed. Bought new home 5 days ago.
Glad I could help!
All fixed.
rarely comment on videos but this was informative and helpful. keep up the good work
my amana has done this for a long time, i thought something was wrong with the washer because i would set it on cold and it would never finish the load and just stop and i would keep restarting it, so realized it would work when i put it on hot, i like saving money tho and using cold water, and we do have a well so maybe this is the answer! thanks so much for the video God Bless
Thank you so much for this video. It gave me the confidence to try and fix my washing machine. It was fixed in about 3 minutes thanks to you!
I’m about to fix mine tomorrow this was very helpful!
this is great! my problem exactly! NOW, how do you get the washer open, no front panel to "pop" - just one wraparound piece of metal.
This page explains: fixitnow.com/wp/2005/10/23/how-to-open-a-whirlpool-or-kenmore-direct-drive-washer-how-to-take-apart-washer-washing-machine-disassembly-washer-repair/
I thought my well pump was on the fritz, but I ended up tracing it back to this; thanks for your video.
+Gary DeRoy Maybe you should just replace the valve and avoid a flood risk caused by the screens not being seated properly and letting sediment in.
+SamuraiRepairman. I got it. It was a pressure fit and I just had to pry it out with a small screwdriver on each side. All fixed and working now.
+Gary DeRoy awesome, that's what I wanted to know.
this is a great video!
This is EXACTLY what I was looking for, thank you so much! Also, your voice sounds dead on like the actor Denis O'Hare....
Is there any reason why you could not have just cleaned the screen instead of changing the valves? I agree about the hoses!
I even had to buy a valve seal ($3) for one of the toilets, because the tank kept overfilling.
how much does this cost for a repair tech to do this
Is it really necessary to replace the valve? I just spray undiluted vinegar into the openings of the value and it seems to dissolve the sediment away. Works like new again.
Thank you so much for your comment! I use vinegar for so many things, but your great fix didn't occur to me 🙄
I use vinegar for clothes I get urine on, so I have that right next to the washer already!
Uh… could you link to the case removal videos you mention? I can’t find a good one
The problem shown on your video is what is happening to our washer. However, the filter screen valves are spotless clean. What is odd is that when the water in the washer starts to trickle, if we turn on the cold water on the laundry tub right next to it the water will run into the washer normally.
failing solenoid, you definitely want to replace before you have it stuck open
What sort of adapter is needed for that little blue tip on the replacement you said was needed?
A soft bristled brush and i was able to clear mine . I am not looking to replace any parts honestly . The washer is super old . It is running well for now .
On our top loading GE washer, the cold water is not filling at all when I turn it to cold. It won't even start. Warm and hot do though. I turned the timer to rinse, and it fills with cold water so I am not sure whats going on.
I have the same problem, but it works sometimes.
Thanks I am already there. I read a bit more and figured out if I really need help to hit your forums. Domo arigato Samurai Repairman.
Where is this information on the Appliantology site? Is this an expensive repair?
I had to replace the whole board.
Did you have to drill through the back of the cabinet for the water valve screws?
I have a similar problem. The cold water doesn't come out at all. I unscrewed the cold water and there is no sediment in the filter. I'm hooked up to a city line too. What else could it be? Please help I'm a week behind on laundry 😢
Thats what happened with my old washing
Same here
Same problem but I have a brand new washing machine!!!!! I can only wash my clothes in HOT water and they're starting to get balled up and ruined - especially my work clothes!!!
@@kv2723 If you're washing the clothes with no cold water getting to them, they're not being rinsed. All cycles use cold water to rinse. I'm havin the same issue.
Same here.....Just the cold water to my washer machine is started to be low.....Checked the screen but it was very clean.....any solutions ?
What if you change washers and still have the issue? Is the problem then in the hoses?
I Replaced the water inlet valve and still wont get cold . Only hot . Wire Problem ?
Hi - I have a friend who described a problem similar to this. However, she couldn't get cold water on cold, but could on Cold/Hot. That doesn't sound like what this would solve, which is effectively a plugged valve. What do you think that could be?
Also, where do I find replacement parts?
hi , i think im having a similiar problem , washer is set to cold and only hot is coming out .
We just moved in and bought a brand new washer and dryer set. Cold water will not go into the washer. How do you clean out the actual pipe?
Thank u thank u thank u so very much! I have a question, my faulty inlet valve has a thermistor, and my new one doesnt. I installed the new one and didnt connect the wires that were in the old thermistor, it seems to work fine. Can you tell me if this is ok if i use it like that or should i buy a new valve with a thermistor?
Where is the thermistor located? Sounds like I am having a similar problem
@@waffleone3 i dont remember i just put the new inlet valve without the thermistot and taped up the wires. It works fine i only use cold water anyways. i believe it is to regulate hot water or something like that. Been working fine a couple years so far.
Thanks so much!! saved me from buying a new machine !!! easy repair!!! THANKS AGAIN!!!
Thanks for watching. Glad it helped!
DOH!
and
I have to manually turn off my cold water. cold cycle will not fill or cut off automatically. so if I don't babysit my washer it floods my utility room. Hot water works just fine
Do you have a video for when no cold water comes in at all? No hum, no sound, nothing. No response. When it gets to the rinse cycle it clicks over to that cycle then clicks a 2nd time to off. Seems it could be the board
Sum:
- clean hoses & screens
- ensure hoses are on hot cold correctly (this was my solution)
- replace hoses
- replace valves (in this video)
Well I just spent the last 30 mins doing this I also cleaned out the screens on both h/c hoses still didnt fix my problem might u have any other suggestions??
Had this problem with cold water not working about 6 months and and we replaced the the inlet valve and it worked fine after that. Now, probably only 6 months later or less it is happening again. Do you know why it would be happening again?
So I have the same problem, but my filter is clean on the washer and I've checked both ends of the supply lines and they are clean too, what else could it be?
Water won’t come out, no humming either, does that mean the wire next to the cold inlet valve is disconnected or
Damaged?
When I turn my cold water valve off at wall, I get plenty of hot but when the cold is back on, my hot water going into the tube is cool.
Independently confirmed! You are wonderful!
Explaination is done very well...Thank you very much..
how do I determine my washer's model number, I see no sticker with it
Hi, I have an Estate Whirlpool Washing Machine, and I wanted to know how do I remove the back panel in order to get to the filter.
I am having this issue but I can feel that no water is coming out of the tap on the wall at all. What could be the issue
I changed the inlet valve and still no cold water I’m gonna change out the washer pressure switch and see if the cold comes on then 🤷♀️
You can just clean those screens out; don’t need to replace the whole valve.
Sediment filters are a great idea for any household and I consider them mandatory for well water systems.
When i turn on hot i can hear the hum but cold had no humming sound at all. Any suggestions?
I am havin the same problem! Did you ever figure out what the problem was??
Good video. Great tip on the braided nylon hose!
Thanks for watching!
i replace my inlet valve and i get hot water but i still get no cold... What am i missing??
I'm having the exact same issue with, but the cold water inlet valve works fine when I tested it separately :(.
Better explanation than this, it would not be possible. Thank you so much for this video.
Does It matter which hose you use. I just bought new hoses not the same That came With The Washing Machine. I'm Hearing Hammering Alot. Would it be wise to use the same hoses. Asking For A Friend.
Thank you! I had the hoses on backwards
Glad I could help
sigh.... fix one thing, break another. at least all my appliances are as old as me and CAN be serviced, bests buy a new appliance.
anyways, thanks for posting this video, i came from cleaning the filters but now im sure this is the issue!
HELP!!
So, we just replaced ours about a week ago & it helped for a day & went back to the cold water trickling out. What should we do now?
Did you figure out what your problem is? I think I have the same problem
Hey, I took the new fill valve and checked it. Found cold side gunked up again after just a couple runs. Cleaned the screen, works good now. Also ran some watwe thru the disconnected hoses before hooking them back up. It will probably clog again but at least now I know what to do to fix it.
My house has no running water how can i still use my samsung front loader washer can you put water manully
I replaced the inlet valve and the cold ran fine, for about 3 weeks. Now it's right back to where it was before I replaced the valve. What am I missing?
I appreciate the tip. Thanks.
What tools would I need?
good video, but where does the warm water come in? ;-)
