This is a replacement for the initial model. The operating sound of my Pro is noticeably louder than before. This issue also occurs with PS4 titles and non-enhanced games. What could be the cause? The location where it is installed is very well ventilated, and since it is autumn now, the temperature is often chilly.
To prove that this is speculation, we need to prove the opposite. The facts about the additional heat pipes, their proven efficiency in heat transfer, and the heavier cooling system strongly suggest an improvement in thermal management for the PS5 Pro. These design upgrades are engineering solutions typically used to enhance cooling performance. So, at the moment, we can prove the fact of the presence of additional heat pipes and the greater weight of the cooling system. Thank you.

@JDRoss716 you think? It's being held in place by the flimsy side panel and thermal putty. The PS5 Pro is a PS5 so like the PS4 Pro, it will not have exclusive games, another obvious fact... 🙄 However this will be enhanced version of these games, you can cope all you want it does not matter if you like that idea or not. 😉 Is the OG PS5 still a good console ? Yes of course. PS5 Pro is not mandatory but it will provide a better PS4/5 game experience until the PS6. I gave away my OG PS5 to my son and games are still amazing on it but on a capable TV set will all the HDMI 2.1 features, I enjoy even more my PS5 Pro. 😉
@ogamitaicho77 props to you for giving your son your og PS5, but I just don't have the money to get a PS5 pro. I would get it to future proof any future games and save money but right now selling my PS5 for its original price AND paying 250 dollars more for mediocre performance at best, just won't do it for typical consumers such as myself.
@Tony_Re-imagined@@Tony_Re-imagined I totally understand for the money issue, but you can not talk about "mediocre performance at best" for the PS5 Pro comparing OG PS5, that just delusional... 🙄 PS5 Pro is a niche device, work better of course if you have the proper Hdmi 2.1 screen with its features... 😅
Thank's to Astro's Playroom, every time I hear SSD... yea if you know you know XDD. It gets annoying :P
Cee-M-Oh-Es? Cee-MOS. Is this an AI voice or what?
I wouldn’t be surprised if it was an AI-generated voice
PSSR has just added noise to the picture. I'm playing multiplatform games on Series X and Pro, and the pro has fuzzy artifacts around edges compared to XSX.
Does it make sense to cover up the fan with filters for use in PCs? 🤔
Why teardown pls give it to me bro...😢😢😢😢😢pls psl pla
👍👍👍👍👍
PS5PRO is the way how SONY shoyld've been created PS5 from the very beginning. Previous revisions are looks like a PS5 Betas.
PS 5 Pro?❌PS 5 Plus !⭕
What?
Wth am i hearing Diggabytes instead of gigabytes
Slim anniversary is the same?
My fat og ps ps5 is way better in cooling :) I will not get a pro.. Instead will get a vr2
That loose heatsink is such a cheap move from Sony holy f 🤦♂️
Once the unit is assembled it isn’t going anywhere.
@JDRoss716 you think? It's being held in place by the flimsy side panel and thermal putty. Also, it's an inefficient design since you have 3 different layers between the heatpipes and the heat source.
Was it to much to ask to have it screwed in place and with the heatpipes making direct contact with the vrms like in the base model? Like... I know they have to cut costs but this is just sloppy.
@@KlR0VI like how you think you know more then Sony who has never have a fail console like Xbox lmao
@@Red_Nanaki gotta love how easily some people tend to blindly trust companies and authority figures just because they don't know any better.
Do you want an example of Sony effing up the design? Just take a look at how the Pro has those concentric shapes engraved in its ihs. That's Sony adressing the issue of the liquid metal moving and creating dry spots on the ihs of the base PS5.
@Red_Nanaki bad ps3 gpus causing the subsequent lights of death that it did, yeah, never a failed console lmfao.
Dear How-FixIT on a 7th minute you said about dedicated memory for games & backgrounds operations, sorry but you wrong!, in PS5 PRO only 13,7GB GDDR6 dedicated to developing for games other 2,3GB GDDR6 & 2GB of DDR5 for backgrounds operations. & That's not all in PS5 base 12,5GB GDDR6 for games developing, another 3,5GB for backgrounds operations plus you forgot about 512MB DDR4 in SSD controller for backgrounds operations!
In a real calculations - we have increase in 1,2GB GDDR6 dedicated for game developing & plus 1,5GB DDR5(not DDR4) for backgrounds operations.
PS5 base/vanilla still got it 💪😁
P.S. About 12,5GDDR6 PS5 base vs 13,7GB GDDR6 PS5 PRO - it's an official information from Sony engineers interview!
Link?
This doesn't sound right at all.
@@shakengandulf Eurogamer "Digital Foundry" before PS5 PRO launch, & lead engineer Mark Cerny on a video briefing 18th December 2024 about PS5 PRO. He said even less memory releasing for games to developers DF said 13,7GB GDDR6 ( 1,2GB more than PS5 base) Cerny says about 1GB more than on base PS5!
@ДмитрийДрейк Sorry mate but you're wrong. The pro has dedicated ram and has freed up ram from the os to use for games.
Both have 16GB shared system ram but the pro has an extra dedicated 2GB for the OS.
You've obviously missread something.
Every iteration of PlayStation 5 is such an impressive feat in engineering that make the LBOX series X (extinct) and S (sweet potato) look like a knockoff of a current generation console. 😂
PlayStation! ☝🏻
Wow…
Was anyone else bothered by him saying "Sea-Em-Oh-Es battery" just say "Sea-Moss battery".
No
Yeah
@Vaundey Well, no real PC enthusiast says anything other than "Sea-Moss" That is how it's said. Spelling it out is stupid
@@BryceCzirr-jz7ju omg what's a "real PC enthusiast" and who decides? I bet there are plenty of "real PC enthusiasts" with a life who don't care at all how someone pronounces a bleeding acronym, which is entirely made up and arbitrary btw
@Vaundey Are you stupid? There is just common ways to say things in life. Do you also call a phone a "speaky, talky device"?
YALLZ BROKE AZZZZ
IC ps5 pro is best
There look like a fortnite map
Pas fiable cette bécane + bruit ! metal liquide pas bon ! la pro quelle que heures de jeux et déjà au SAV la HONTE pour une bécane a 799.99€
In Playstations Slims are not good
PS5 Pro gives you very little for 930 Euro compared to OG PS5 and PS5 Slim Disc versions if PS5 Pro was atleast 600 Euro with Disc you can still make an argument but with 800 Euro without almost 1000 with if you can even find one to buy it the Pto is a Complete SCAM for what it offers not only that but doesn't even offer both PS4 Pro features for old PS4 games
No the ps5 pro doesn’t improve, and scale like the previous mid generation consoles. Do not waste your money on the ps5 pro it is 100% a stupid cash grab there is 100% a cpu bottleneck Do Not Buy Ps5 Pro. Next topic! Lol.
You prove your own stupidity by starting with "in my opinion" and following with technical details. Either your technical analysis is true or it isn't, there's no room for opinion there. You've discredited yourself already.
@ I fixed that. 🤣
I always have this thought that, they didn’t put that much effort in hardware for PS5 Pro. Since there’s this thing called core binning in processor industry, they could just sell a same device and market it as a better SoC performance, but in reality it’s the same SoC and same architecture but with a better Core Yield. 😅
You forgot to mention how there's no reason to upgrade to a console for it's price without a disk drive for a small boost that is hardly noticeable in most games 😂
Just say you cant afford one
@@davestationuk7374 I have one that's why I can judge lol
@@davestationuk7374 @ronaldocavazos6934 lol people aren't upset about what you think, people are upset that it costs that much for a little more power, and it reduces gameplay in some actually most games because of the PSSR Ai upscaling makes those specific games worst....
Well that is because of it's limitations with raytraced lighting, so it has limitations in so far most games, and + flaws comes without a disk drive and stand and for 700 quid, that's the reason people are pissed.
.
Can someone please help me out here. I purchased a circular mesh dust filter to go on top of the fan but I've noticed there are two fan openings, one on the top of the PS5 Pro, and one on the bottom of the PS5 Pro near the expandable SSD slot. Which side does the air get pulled in? The top fan opening? Or the bottom fan opening? I don't want to put the mesh screen over the area where the air blows out because then essentially it will trap the dust inside correct? Or do both sides of the fan opening sucking air and then it is blown out the back? I'm so confused.
just few sentences and you know he hasn't done his homework and just talk out of his ass PS5 Pro has much more aggressive fan curve then PS5 and PS5 Slim which makes it much loader but it's probably needed cause it's around 50% faster if not even more
No it doesn’t. The duty cycle is only 1% higher on the pro be the slim, 20% instead of 19%.
Which one is louder in term of Coilwhine? or achieved sony it to elimate coilwhine on ps5pro? i mean a 700-900 bug piece of tec-shit should not have coilwhine in 2024
Both are the same 💩
You mean the GayStation 5 "Pro"
Takes one to know one.
