I’ve watched this video on a 4k tv and there is literally no difference tbh the ps5 pro makes things blurry while the og ps5 look honestly in my opinion better
that's what I thought too when I first purchased the Pro, but what you have to do is not use performance mode in games and turn off 120hz in game settings if it has it because the Pro uncaps the FPS in games that Pro Enhanced and allows you to play games in fidelity at frames higher than 60FPS. The Pro pretty much allows you to play games with all bells and whistles that Fidelity mode has, but with a higher frame rate
No, you just misunderstood what they said. The new Xbox was always able to instantly upgrade old games, but the Playstation needed to have the game to be patched first.
This Christmas 2024 I’ll be getting a PlayStation 5 slim console I truly can’t wait been waiting patiently to get PS5, since I’m a OG on disk drives I probably buy PS5 disk drive just for add on along with extra dullshock controller.
I just got the skin today. Target has a sale around 440 after taxes. Pretty much only a discount of no taxes. Since it was originally 444 before tax 3 weeks ago. SMH. I finally gave in and got one because I want to play sparking so bad and ps4 can't do it. I checked all stores and offer up eBay Amazon all of it. And they are all around this price or higher. Except for the scam ones that are 400 and lower on offer up. Maybe you can get lucky on there. Someone is selling one for 250 with broken hdmi port. I thought about it but just decided I don't trust people with this type of purchase. Anything could be wrong with a used one and you don't notice till it's too late.
The capture is somewhat wrong. Not hdr and too much colour and contrast. Also, PSSR needs a specific patch to be implemented. Bloodbourne doesn't support PSSR. Just a minor sharpening filter via image enhancement
Technology is so advanced now a days that you can barely see a change between consoles it’s like playing with the same TV settings and changing contrast and brightness not a big deal not like back in the days when getting a new console really meant better graphics , I would say if you got the money and want to spend it just to get a feeling of owning a new console go for it but other than that I don’t see much change.
I don't know what you are using to capture these videos (*He’s using the El Gato card in 4K 60 in HDR. No wonder the videos look the way they look) and then export them, but they look terrible. The blacks are crushed, your colors are oversaturated, tons of artifacts and there's something going on with the sharpness. Pretty bad review since the videos captures are bad. If you captured these in HDR , then that is one of the causes (Don't capture game footage in HDR) and maybe the export settings aren't good enough for RUclips because they look compressed.
Its not a bad review its called youtube suppressing the codec and making everything basically look the same. Its actually a very accurate review that pro has alot of useless upgrades basically not worth it unless you have a ps3 or 4
If you have it you know the truth. The truth was being told the first two days as people were attempting to upload off screen footage ( the best way to show what it can do kinda). The positive content wasn’t getting any views so I saw several channels stop that method, start to use capture and say I can’t really tell a difference, as they zoom way in so you can’t tell a difference. This situation has been very telling about the gaming community and gaming content creation. This video for example, totally disingenuous low quality and uploaded it anyway,if he has the Pro he knows it’s a lie but chose to get engagement from being negative. Truth is, you can not capture what the PRO does it’s something you have to see for yourself ( on the correct TV!)
@@alvinamana1459 Have to disagree. I had this same issue when I first started to upload my game footage. I didn’t quite understand why it was looking bad. After some research, I found out RUclips doesn’t like HDR, you have to find the right bit rate to export the footage so it looks crispy, free of artifacts and not look compressed. This footage has everything you don’t want in a video. So reviewing this is baseless. Also, the only way to upload HDR footage so that RUclips likes it is directly from the PS5 to RUclips.
I don’t like any of those updates and I love those two games. I had to delete them both. I don’t know what insomniac was thinking softening the resolution on the pro.
ya’ll wna see a difference, play Warhammer Space Marine, the Pro made that game look so much better. That game has shown me the biggest difference since ai played it on the regular console first
Bloodborne don't use PSSR. PS4 games, just gets "enhanced" by a sharpening filter. And FF7 Remake, doesn't have PSSR yet. But due to dynamic resolution, you get sharper image on the Pro.
I have had my PS5 for going on 4 years now and ive never played a game and thought boy those graphics suck, or man that game could use more ray tracing, to each is on but right now for me the minimum upgrades is not worth it for me
Am I going blind . When he was talking about the trees in the beginning I literally saw no difference. To make sure I wiped my glasses and held my phone a few inches away from my eyes. Still couldn't see what he was talking about...
How do you know you've been seeing anything like other (non-glasses wearing people, for example) people see things this whole time? If people are being serious when they say "there is no difference" instead of meaning "I think the difference is small and unimportant" then they are somehow missing the differences, which are minimal. The differences are usually just that the Pro is smoother snd blurrier, which is supposedly more "realistic", but I prefer the over-sharp look of the non-pro. If you go back to the grass and tree, the tree looks different, in the pro its a dark green blurry blob more than the very sharp version to the left of it which shows sunlight reflections on the leaves at that distance. In the pro, images probably become a little sharper as one approaches. In reflections, the non-pro had blurrier reflections, but that seemed to be more intuitively correct than what the ps5 pro was showing in this video. The slim has a disc drive version and can play most ps4 discs. One can purchase a ps5 disc drive separately if they prefer the graphics, but seeing this video, I prefer the very sharp look as compared to the slightly smoother look. Check it out again and see if you can notice the very minimal differences, maybe pause the video on the tree, that might be the easiest to spot the way that it looks different. In that winter scene with lights hanging from a building, the lights have more bloom or diffused light around them on the left, non-pro, image, and the lights look smaller on the pro image with less diffused light. Again, I prefer the non-pro graphical setting choices and results.
I question the hardware/ tvs these videos users are using, because my games look night and day. Its not even close, my tvs unlocked 120 VRR 4k and it makes a huge difference. Still have my ps5 on a 60fps
Picked up a ps5 pro from GameStop without a preorder. Traded in my og ps5 for $300 and also got the disc drive too. Really enjoying it and night and day difference! Final fantasy 7 remake makes a huge difference even without the patch. Quality mode no more choppy and image looks gorgeous and smooth on my 100” epson LS11000 in the theater room.
Sadly, I don’t see Sony doing this. Looks like this is the direction they’ll be going with since they’re really trying to ditch physical media. Don’t be surprised if the PS6 will be the official end of physical games and it’s digital only.
@@prisonmike3605I don't either... I mean why would would they. The people that have to have it can buy it separately. Discs are outdated tech, this isn't 2010. The days of including drives are done

I know you're not asking me but I'd recommend you get a ps5 slim disc edition, since it allows you to play most ps4 discs too.
Thanks for the video, I was looking for such a comparison for quite a while now.
Always strange how we compare quality of graphic in a video that is streamed at 1080p, PS5 Pro looks way better in real time.
