Just discovered your content today, and liking what I see and hear, aiming the sternum behind the ball for draw seems a much simpler way to get the in out club path I’m after. Will try next time out.
Thanks Freddie for the in depth explanation of what’s going on when I hit a fade and to properly set myself up for a fade or a draw. The more I play the more I realize a few degrees here or there and mm up, down, left are right can really get exaggerated 200 yards down the fairway. Does the amount of follow through impact your ability to hit or control the draw or fade? I’m thinking if I want to hit a draw, fully rotate my follow through? If I was to hit a fade, don’t turn as much through the follow through? Thanks again!!
No problem, my pleasure entirely! - Yes, manipulating the follow through is a a big influence on the flight of the shot ...The feels you have there for it sound pretty spot on and can reinforce the Sternum idea very well!
Correct ..from a mechanical perspective, they are the bits that make the flight ...I get those sorted over everything else ..the proof is in the pudding 😋
@nickmillar9651 🤣 this idea will give you the most chance ....try it, do it too much, mess a few shots up by trying it "too much" then you can feel and appreciate the more subtle versions of it :)
@renegade2853 the ball has to start right of the target for a draw to be useful ....86% of the start of the flight ....comes from where the face is aiming at impact 1:53 ...then path has to be in to out, relative to that face If you start with a square face, it has to be manipulated ....proven by launch monitors and updated in the PGA training ....the thought was different >10 years ago 😋
Does it work with driver too?
Yes absolutely ...Lower tee with the fade and higher tee with the draw will match up nicely
I’ve been using the sternum placement for a while and controlling ball flight nicely. Great tip!!
AWESOME!! Glad to hear it's working for you as well!! I've had some players here have some huge reductions in handicap over the last 6 months :)
Hey , thanks for this, it seems so simple ! gotta give it a go now. Cheers. X
@@MrDoner6961 Enjoy! Let me know how it goes 😋
Thank you
My pleasure
Hahaha Thank you :)

@@alanyoung5783 Welcome aboard! Enjoy :) and thanks for commenting 👌😋 helps all round
love your videos. keep it up
Glad you like them! Tell your friends :D
Love it. Simples!
Yes! Thank you!
Nice one, keeping it simple and easy to take away and practice. Great work
Exactly that! Work too far both sides and see what happens ... bit of trial and error from there to tune in :)
Are you moving your feet open and closed or just focusing on the sternum and start line? Thanks
The feet can help the sternum ...but the sternum is the key factor to control :)

Make it look far too easy 😂 here’s me fighting for my life to hit a draw with my driver and not lose it off the planet left! 😂😂
Haha, I'm a bit more fluent with it, I agree... Stages of development though - Blocked practice, Varied Practice then golf course!
So you never align your stance right for a draw with a closed face? Or left for a fade with a little open face? I saw you only align your sternum.

@@FredzGolf Thank you!
I’ll try it. I can’t hit a draw to save my ass

@ Ok sounds good. Thank you
Or how come you open the face at address for a draw? Just wondering how the physics work?
