IDK man, their rhythm section is amazing. Wes is one of those guitarists who's guitar genius is unique, kinda like Tom Morello, but it wouldn't be as special without the drums and bass right where there at!
I've been on a nostalgia kick recently with Nu Metal. Been listening to all the stuff I did back in my teens and 20's. Linkin Park, Disturbed, Korn, System of a Down, Ill Nino, Deftones and all that goodness. Even been thinking of starting a Nu Metal solo project, despite technical death metal and metalcore being the main styles I typically play.
Wow I was honestly expecting NDSP to eventually bring out a Wes Borland plugin, but STL Tones has been killing it lately! The Josh Middleton plugin is amazing as well
I have to respectfully disagree, the Josh Middleton plugin (imo) is mediocre at best. I find myself returning to the Neural DSP plugins out of the dozens of plugins I own/tried.
@@dresdensinn6669 No doubt that NDSP beats everything, I always go back to their plugins, but the Tonality - Josh was honestly the first STL plugin that drew my attention, it really does stand out to me personally. But each to their own in the end.
I wish Neural DSP would put more attention like this into their effects. Wes Borland was one of my idols growing up and he’s written some of the coolest riffs. EDIT: The auto input level sounds like a brilliant idea.
Very underrated guitarist. His style and sounds are incredibly unique and I think that's what makes him standout. That's without talking about his onstage costumes too!! Great demo and I think STL make the best plugins personally.

@@jaykelley103 it’s sort of insufferable at this point. I’d say they all have their advantages and disadvantages. I like that all these guys are getting plugins, but I can’t say I’ve noticed a meaningful difference in tone from one to another, especially if you use the same IR. Having tried 20 or so offerings from neural, STL, etc, my advice to anyone would be to pick one with a user interface that works for you.
Weird choice to go with the VH4 over the Rectifier being that most people associate the Bizkit sound with Recs. I guess the market is a bit saturated with Mesa sims though.
I mean, Limp Bizkit is a guilty pleasure. We don't talk about it, but we know the lyrics to some of their songs. At least in reference to extreme metal guys. But I have no shame, so I'll jam out with my ham out to old school NY Hip Hop and Post Malone too.
Literally right before I showed those clips, I made the comment "Limp Bizkit doesn't get enough credit for how heavy they are". The comment wasn't "Look at these songs Wes Borland wrote"
Seems like a pretty cool plugin. I think I'll pass on this one, since i already have a plugin modeled after a VH4 and the clean amps aren't really my jam
I think it has a lot of not useful sounds. I was expecting cooler sounds from the presets. I like neural more on the presets. The looks are amazing though.
How is it so many people like nu metal now and most of them are the same people who shit on it forever . Maybe they realize how unique it actually is since they became adults … hahahaha
Nu Metal was always sh**te and always will be! And Limp Biskit was the worst of the bad 'Nu Metal' crap. The sound of Wes Borland? Thanks, but no thanks. Of course there are always guys who want a bad sound (e.g. a Nu Metal sound).
