John Heisz - I Build It asaq
John Heisz - I Build It u
Now we're talking ! Complete, concise, short, great camera angles, and badass. That's how I love it. Keep them coming ! Thanks.
Nice to see a messy workshop actually used for work and not just a show piece. Keep it up.
Gosh! I can't imagine how much this is going to change my life.
wow that little belt sander is awesome
What a refreshing surprise to see someone make something on a woodworking channel nowadays. I came here wondering how much it would cost and which company makes it and could I possibly afford it. Most of the time, I cannot. To find out it is accessible to those of us who cannot afford to buy all of the sponsored stuff most seem to be selling on their channels nowadays, because we can build it ourselves, is awesome. Thank you for this video.
I think the problem is that RUclips needs more search options. It will show you all the videos that have hundreds of thousands of views but what you really want it sitting in RUclips with only 50 views and so it never gets recommended to you.
Y'all are subscribed to the wrong channels.
The speed and confidence with which you use your tools always makes your build videos entertaining to watch.
This video is packed with gems (besides the primary topic). I am very interested in that table saw technique for cutting a cove. I've never seen that before.
I gotta say, yoour workshop looks GORGEOUS.
John, while I'd never give up my table saw, seeing you be able to nail a jig to your table saw like that made me think about a plywood topper for jigs like this... maybe easy to make rectangular plywood zero clearance plates. Came for a sanding block but got a totally different idea. Thanks!
The use of a body camera works well. Gets us up and close and personal to the wood and you don't have to spend time setting up the camera on a tripod and getting the right angle.
It may be a simple sanding block but the execution of the construction is (as usual) very cool.
You make it look easy. It helps when you have the right tools. Now you have another one.
Now you've done it!! Paint and Polyurethane on one project?!! You're going to spoil us if you keep doing that, John.... lol Nice little project. Thanks for the video!
Using the table saw to plow a rounded groove was slick! I've never seen that done before.
Nice sanding block John. Thumbs up.
Enjoyed the build. Something to use in the shop often, quick build so it’s satisfying right away. Finish off the last of sanding discs.
You are a magician! Your ability to handle tools is really incredible!
You know John.. Videos like this one are why I love your channel! Good ideas, designed intelligently, and executed to share. Your comfort level with tools and even build ideas is very fun to watch. Knowing you're walking around with a camera in your mouth to film it makes me laugh a little while I watch too! Thank you sir for sharing!
The best part of filming it point of view like this is I can work completely naked. Freedom!
:)
hahahhahahahaah!!
Chortle
Just don't look down 😁
John Heisz - I Build It Just don't stand too close to the dick sander. Disk ! Disk sander! Don't stand to close to the disk sander. Pesky auto correct.
I love your counter rotating drill press and all of those left handed bits you use in it!
WOW........I'm blown away.. you are one BadAss Dude. I will be watching your videos
I like that you make tools that you need and can use on a regular basis!!!
John you are a talented woodworker and designer. I like your videos like this.
John I swear you have one of the most creative minds.
Great anniversary gift for the wife!!! She HATES sanding......
I like the credits music. Another useful project...
I made your square sanding block (2 actually) with the wedges to hold the sandpaper ,years ago. I use them quite often. Guess I gotta make a pair of these too. Useful , and they look cool.
Nice build, thanks for notice on sanding discs.
I think that this is another great project and the paint colors look great! Thanks, John.
A really over-complicated solution for a very simple problem. I love it.
Great sanding block! Been looking for this block for a good long time. You make a whole lot of tools that I find very well built by you. I very much enjoy building my tools.
I built your design for the square sheets of sandpaper and like it a lot. I'll build this one too. Thank you for the good well thought out designs.
Nice work John!
Didnt check how many ppl already commented that, but this kind of sanding disc is great for turning and epoxy resin :)
The world Tumble and shake when you use the Vice 4:28 :-) again Thanks for sharing John !
Great build John. I am always amazed at how your mind works. There doesn't seem to be an obstacle you are not able to come up with an engineered solution. I do love the Abranet. I started using the rectangles for my lathe work, and only recently saw them in disks. I use them on my 90, 125 and 150mm Festool sanders. It does load up the Velcro with dust over time, but a quick shot of compressed air takes care of it. The extra dust load is far less damaging that running the sander with just the Velcro backing (I've heard. Surely I would never be that stupid).
WOW! That workshop is amazing, those power tools!!!!!Thank you very much for the tutorial.
Really good video editing. Very concise. Thanks
I really like these first person shots during the build, very fun to watch! Thanks for the great video.
I think I like yours videos because I see the mess and make me feel better with the mess I have in my shop, lol!! Just kidding, I love what you do!
Thank you for this video John. I really appreciate how you walk through your process building this sanding block.
If you painted blue and red you could make Fordson tractor sounds while sanding! I love this one john
Sanding block is genius.
John, great tool. The paint gives it that professional aluminum look. Nice!
Great little build
That's one fine looking sanding block. Very clever way to do the tightening knob. Only issue I see is the colours should have been yellow and black ;)
Hey Brad! DeWalt called, they want their colours back.
@@JohnHeisz why I have no idea what you could possibly mean.....
There's always grey and green!
Stick on some googly eyes and it might keep the wasps away ;)
I dont like that much waste on the round sandpapers, :/
Good for you as you have all the power tools to make the refined
work. All we can just watch your staff.thx
Now I know what to make for the rubbish discs I bought :D Thank you John ॐ
You build the coolest stuff.
I use them discs in work and find them good although it is only mainly on paint
Really cool John! 👍👊
...love that foldout paint cabinet.
Very cool! I'll definitely to build one of these soon!
One sandblock to rule them all.
That's a nice little build you did. Adding that to my long list of to make projects.
I like it, nice job John
Hey John that is a pretty skookum sanding block. I like your belt sander too!
WELL DONE
Better then anything you will ever find at a store
great project as always
Well dang. That looked easy.
Very clever solution John. I will definitely do one. Thumbs up.😉👍
I hate the hassle of sending shit back too. Liked the project!
That was clever with the packing tape. Thanks.
Wow! Used to watch your videos when RUclips recommended put me on a carpentry kick as it does from time to time but I love the body cam that's pretty innovative
Great design. Quite simple. I think I'll make one. Thanks.
Packing tape over the epoxy is a glorious tip. Thanks John :D
So clean, much love
👍🏼 Impressive for streaming video in a straight sequential way
But how? That cove is just amazing!
I get it. Pain in the ass to return stuff. Good job.
I like the SIA products in general. I have been using their ceramic coated disk for about a year now and I like them. Good to know to avoid those ones.
i'm digging the color combination! Keep on, keepin on
Finally, a small sanding block worth spit! It just goes to show you. Sometimes both hands know what the other is doing. The round edges were never there before! The perfect answer to fine and light duty sanding.
Man... that is pretty freaking nice!
Loved the video. Quick, simple and easy to understand.
Thank you.
Nice work
I love how your mind works.
Very nice John! Thanks for the great video.
John you did such a good job I thought you had bought it. Lol. Love the project.
Years ago you designed and had plans for slide together sanding blocks, made a bunch, still my favorites, this one is ok but the originals were more interesting and work quite well. I think I saw one in this video 😉
Nice job
Great build John, thanks for the inspiration. Will definitely make something like this for my shop 👍
Very good design. Get them made and I would buy one.
Your antics with the table saw make me nervous. haha
I love it! That's a great sanding block.
Nice project
Nice sanding block John
Good one john
Perfect. I have a few boxes of sanding discs.
Excellent video and process. Thanks for sharing. You make outlook so easy. Keep it up...
Thanks for sharing !
Awesome. I really like the tapebon glue trick. And nice to see you have those lefthanded drillbits in good use. 😉
very disappointed in the lack of construction adhesive used in this project.
*polyurethane* construction adhesive
I may have to build something like this in the future. Thanks for the inspiration!
great block! I really like your videos bolt the darn vise to the bench!
Gracias muy ilustrativo, trataré de hacerlo, además Que bonito su TALLER, muy bien equipado .... solo un poco de orden y excelente
Your too dam clever John. Great tool. Thanks for sharing
Very impressed with that wooden vise! Make a vid on it please....
So many good tips in one video. Thx.
