    First ship night I actually caught love, not replayed. I failed to understand how important building little shop tools, aids, and jigs were. You learn so many lessons that make you more skillful. Thanks for this.

    OK it is just a sanding block. :) But as with all your lessons it is the subtle things you teach that can be used in more glamorous situations. First, we learn how a french curve scraper works; next is the piece of tape for a quick stop for making duplicate cross cuts, no clamping stop blocks just simply stick a piece of tape where desired (Really Valuable); and yes how to use sandpaper efficiently, which then explains making the block to the 1 7/8” width to get two uses from one piece of sandpaper. And yes the sanding block is very nice and just learning how to make it is worthwhile. Thanks!
