@@AfroMarxist Opinion on the Baath movements. I have recently been trying to research them and have had conflicted opinions on it. From what I hear it all went to shit one Saddam took power. The baathists in Iraq were CIA puppets but Henry Kissinger thought Al Bakr posed a threat to Reza Pahlavi. And the USSR funded both Iraq and Iran in the 80s Iraq more directly but Iran via sales to the Koreans(Kim il Sung) and Libyans(Muamar Gaddafi) both supported Iran and recieved much millitary funding from the USSR. And Al Bakr signed a treaty with Kosigyn. So what this means is the Iran Iraq war was an Ogaden Situation.
