I had the exact same problem with my Kenmore wish washer, so I ordered the part you recommended off Amazon, received it two days later and was able to follow your steps to replace the rack mount with the broken wheel. Thank you for making this video. I had this exact same issue and was living with the balancing act and frustration of just "hanging" it for more than I should have. I somehow ended up finding this and it was so timely and very helpful. You recommendation for parts was exactly what I needed as I wasn't sure where to find it. Just now replaced both the sides and the dishwasher almost reminds of how it was when I bought it and it only costed me just a little over $20. Thanks a lot for this help!!

Here I am again, 8 months later, for the same issue on the other side of my dishwashers upper rack. This time the repair was even easier thanks to your helpful video. I can only imagine how much money you saved us.

We were so thankful for the video. Had the exact same problem (right front wheel broke off). We ordered replacement parts which came in, to our surprise, with metal brackets - I think Kenmore had so many problems they are no longer using plastic except for the support pieces. The wheel and support pieces are still made of plastic but the wheel is now re-inforced with a steel center. We were unsure if the new parts would work and without the video we were afraid of breaking the old parts and having nothing to go back to - we've been using the dishwasher with the right side sagging for almost a year! We replaced EVERYTHING just to fix one broken wheel on one side. The hardest part was getting the old parts out. Luckily our old parts closely matched those in the video so having this video was very helpful - especially the part using the needle-nose pliers. The new replacement parts looked different but were relatively easy to install once we had the old ones off so in case you get the new metal bracket replacement package just know it does work to replace the old plastic ones and should be a permanent fix.

I have the part ordered, but have the top rack hanging on by a screw thru a hole I drilled.... held on by a rubber band to keep it in place! hahahahhahaha

This is great! Just want everyone to know that the symptom of broken wheels can be a leak in the corner that is not the gasket! If the wheels are misaligned, such as when one is missing, the spray arm may not fit properly over the valve in the back and could force water behind the gasket and make the door corner leak! I also ordered the replacement parts for both sides and am so happy you posted this video. Thank you!

I ended up buying the same part (as opposed to the entire rebuild that is also available for more money). Both sides had broken prongs to hold the wheels, so I had to buy 2. But with your video and around $25 at Amazon, I fixed our dishwasher! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I had a challenge that you didn’t seem to experience. The main piece with the wheels wasn’t staying put but was still able to move up and down when I put everything together as per your directions. I realized that that middle piece on the rack itself, that looks a bit like a clothes pin, has a little flat edged part that the replacement wheel section needs to rest on before it all goes back together! Still, your video was a help and a friend to me as I waded boldly into the unknown waters of dishwasher repair. It went great and I am empowered to fix it again should anything else go awry. So thanks again for taking the time to make this video, much appreciated from Ottawa, Canada! 🇨🇦

Thank you so much for this excellent video. I was going along fine, when I suddenly realized that I didn't have the identical replacement part! In my google search, I'd not found the amazon link to the part you have used (and I could have used), but rather to a "complete set" in a different style. This meant I had to replace both sides. A bit more searching and I found another excellent video with step by step on how to install what I had. BUT, that video did not explain how to remove the existing rollers. So I was back to your video, which was , as I said before, excellent! The "3-prong" clip was a real stumbler as I had tried to figure it out on my own. Thanks again!

Perfect! Watched the video, ordered exactly the correct part and installed in under 20 minutes. One piece of advise... the exact part number for the assembly is stamped onto the main part. This will ensure you order the exact part.

Just following up - my parts arrived and, thanks to the thorough breakdown in this video I had both sides replaced in about 15 minutes. $26 and 15 minutes of my time and the top rack is as good as new.

Awesome video -- I liked the genuine nature of your video as you figure this out. I wish I had ordered my parts AFTER seeing your video, since the package I ordered (Amazon) does not appear as durable as yours. I was going to muddle through my installation, thinking I could solve the puzzle and trying NOT to break any little tabs or the clips on the end of the rails. You solved the riddles and headaches with this project. I had my changed out in less than 20 minutes, coast to coast, after watching your video. Great job, good video production and extremely helpful for navigating this repair. I do agree though with your assessment about this dishwasher business -- it could have been designed better. Maybe why Sears is gone?
Hi Stephen, good time on the install!. It seemed overly complex and totally unnecessary if the item had been made to last :) Perhaps that is why sears is gone. I want something that will last and I think most people are like that. Make a quality product and the word will get out.

Great video. Got replacement parts from Kenmore. Kenmore part is made of metal (much stronger), with new instructions. Cost $54.00 including shipping
