I've been rebuilding a 1.6 and finally going to install it soon. Got the same Petroworks kit, clutch is ordered. Deciding on fuel pump now, and going to modify the VSS with a reed switch and probably design and 3D print a bracket for it (so all new parts on the VSS mod without having to source trackick parts). I'll be doing the wiring harness myself. It seems daunting but really you're just keeping a handful of lines from it.
I know what you mean, there’s a ton of videos talking about the swap and different things you have to do. I wish I had a cameraman to film everything we did, because it’s super hard to do both. My plan this week is to do a walk around style video talking about the swap and what we had to overcome so look out for that. Thanks for watching my video 🤘😎
Its the same cable, it bolts right up. You may need to bend the bracket slightly to clear the hood. Mine was sticking up, angled at the hood, I tapped the metal sleeve on the cable with a hammer and it bent down about an inch and clears now.
@@CTMadModz Thanks for the answer. I got my Sami about 6 years ago with the 1.6 16v already installed , its been flawless so far. It's out of a 2004 sidekick. wanted to carry a spare throttle cable just never took the time to figure out what it came off.

dont bother with the VSS most people including myself dont run it.. no issues
