Everyone in the industry knows you Stan and the way the Scag reps reacted was soooooo heavy handed. I’ve been “tired” and been in the middle of plenty of long “bad days” but I’ve never treated a customer, or potential customer the way treated you. You’re a trusted industry ambassador and they missed an opportunity to push that product with some humor and grace. I’ll get off my soapbox now.
Thanks Rex !
Or he could have been an adult taken control of his impulsiveness to do a wheelie on a $20,000 lawn mower that doesn’t belong to him. *Insert scag is a multimillion dollar corporation it doesn’t matter to them blah blah blah*. It’s an insurance liability for them and who the hell wants a 50 year old man acting like he’s 12 riding wheelies on every brands commercial lawn equipment? The logic these days is incredible
@@VABlueRidgeExplorer lol. the rops is up and no cheetah model ever costs near 20k anyway. putting mowers through their paces is the whole point of the show. I sometimes accidentally have my wheels come up while mowing and its important to get a feel for them so youre not surprised how they handle when an accident does occur.
You can ride all the wheelies you want on a Spartan. 😎
👍👏👌🇺🇲
THIS IS SPARTA!!! I think i meed to buy me a new Spartan mower
Yep... I’m buying yalls mowers from now on!
That’s awesome
I have meet some of the Spartan sales people when they came to Rolla missouri "dicky bubs" really great knowledgeable staff and really nice Spartan truck and trailer also. I run a lawn service in this town. I got to test drive them and they are so weel handled and balanced you feel like you are on a cloud. Plus there larger pulles save your belts much longer so less down time. Huge chute disperses the grass clippings vary evenly even if its wet. Hope to be able to buy one of there 54inch RZ HD next season since i got a new truck this year "baby steps." My scag 36 walk behind is what i use now.
In my honest opinion a product is only as good as the customer service that they provide.
Justin, they have to back up their products, if not then why are they are in business? Customer service is the back bone of a company as well as the reputation
Yup, I agree, however, sometimes thats not the case.
so true!
Agreed
And availability / price of parts
Very fair point that it doesn't affect SCAG mowers' quality or performance, but man, did this video make me proud to be running a BOB-CAT!
They seem like good people.
GO FERRIS!!!
Scab is much better than bob 🐈
I feel the same here when I watched it lol!
@@stevemtc1 Clearly not
Half a million people have seen this. Wow! Has Scag released a statement yet? 😂
Good question. 9 months later..? Nothing? Wow. SMH 🤦🏻♂️
It’s not really a Scag issue, it’s a society issue. Everyone wants to sue for everything and safety is paramount for companies. I’m surprised any of them allow it. The higher up in the company you are the more like it it is your obligation to shut something like that down.
Scag is weak, reps know their mowers are fragile!! Bobcat is was strong, they let you really test the equipment. Gravely was on board with bobcat. Rip it up!!
As far as SCAG is concerned, all they SCAG had to do after you did the wheelie was to admonish you not to do it again. After that, then yes, you're gone.
The Richard Rawlings of landscaping equipment 🤙🏼
Who runs in front of a running lawn mower Like a parent mad at his kid. That was a good one lol
yeah- they went overboard
Turn the blades on next time haha
Thanks Stan for showing this to the world. I bought my first stand on mower this year and I almost went with a Scag mower but kept seeing a lot of negative reviews regarding their customer service on RUclips. So I went with a Bobcat Quickcat and after seeing your video. I'm extremely glad and happy with going with Bobcat. If they work well for Chant and the reps cheer you on to have a little fun with their equipment while at GIE. Then man I definitely can't go wrong. Good on Bobcat 🤙
Cant go wrong with a bobcat!
Great video brother awesome thanks for sharing the show with us keep up the awesome work
I like the spartan mower, I can mow the lawn and defend the world from aliens all in one day without swapping equipment out. That's a winner.
I own a spartan, best purchase ever
@@aidancellarius8894 what's the cut quality like? I've considered one but I mostly see them rough cutting brush.
LOL!!!
You showed class by not slagging the Scag
Stan it's not Bobcats fault they build a tougher mower
Very true Nathan!
Bobcat isn't near the great quality a Scag is !
Williams 81 right! Not even close lol
If a mower can’t handle wheelies then it can’t handle cutting a bumpy lawn at full speed. The front casters would be spinning around like crazy on a bumpy lawn getting way more abuse.
Wheelies are like a staple of every demo day or dealer open house. Wright’s always there though doing wheelies in there parking lot every 30 seconds so the other brands don’t want to look like bitches lol.
Only mowers we don’t have fun with are Walkers since they can’t do anything fun lol.
@@williams8186 Clearly they feared the Scag would fall apart
I don't do any commercial landscaping but man I love your vids. Be Blessed Stan and Co!
I do wheelies on my rig all day long, one of the best parts of the job, never hurt the rid even once in 5 years. Go Bobcat!
That motorcycle grip on the hustlers is amazing. Literally bulletproof
Delivered a nice even cut, has the super tight turning ability ruclips.net/user/postUgkx1VWTrayKBdCKAjzAcZ_Eg4dhHTae3LkN also recommend I was looking for, and is just a blast to drive. It takes a little bit to get used to driving one after driving a normal tractor style, but once you've got it, you've got it. If you're cutting lines, you have to be careful spinning the mower around or the back tire will dig a bare spot. Just take it nice and slow during the turn and then it's back to full throttle across the yard!
Awesome job as always Stanley keep up the good work and keep popping wheelies
I run a rather old, heavily used Scag that also set for several years prior to me using it. It was my first commercial grade mower and even at nearly 1000 hours and several years...it is an absolute monster.
I don't think I'll need a new mower before I get out of the commercial grade mowing business, but if I should my anecdotal use with Scag has me extremely proud to own one and it will certainly factor into my new purchase.
You getting kicked out of the Scag booth made me feel like it was me being kicked out. It is such a almost scary feeling in my opinion. Great video, loved the range of mowers that were out there!
All test drives should include a wheelie
LOL! Yep!
Agree. Lol
You have to have fun at the e po. I used to take my employees every year. The bad part about wheelies is the fact that that it can tear the hydro pumps up. My dealer called it spiking the pump.
@@brockthuis5980 and it wears tires out

Thank you for watching Brandon !

@@tsant6591 In the words of the memorable Willy S Peachtree. "The true test of one mans ability to overcome a traverse set of obstacles comes only at the demise of the unfortunate few".
It was on the porch of Grandpaw Willy Peachtrees house that he first mumbled those historic words. As his grandchildren ran rampant alongside that old wooden rocker he sat upon, Grandpaw Willy would stand and voice those words with conviction. For the next several days old Willy stood there adament that he could say nothing else. It was about dinner time on the fourth day that Grandpaw Willy would finally say something else profound. While little Jerry Pinbricker ran rampant among Grandpaws four or five rows of freshly planted canary greens. He yelled out, "Boy, are you plain batshit crazy". That night as the whole Peachtree clan sat around there dinner table, it was little Jerry Pinbricker that said grace!
I bought the Club Cadet with the steering wheel cuz I like to drink and smoke while I mow .
And hang out at the club.
How's it treated you so far
Here, hold my beer and watch this.
Nice
Club cadet, should be spelled like cub cadet.
Great video and funny. 😁😁😁
Thank you Eric: this really helps. I was looking at zeroturners they come with a bag so i have less firehazard. I btw love your video!!! Thank you❤
I work in corporate finance in Boston, I know who you are. How does Scag reps at the biggest conference of the year send people who do not follow social media!?!? Agree they have a nice product but so do many other companies today, it is all about customer service and dealer support. Scag seems to be dropping off in these areas.
logdon17 scag has been proven time after time.i still have a 36 inch mower from over 20 years ago.scag loves dealing with states, counties, cities that need real heavy duty equipt.not hacks like this guy
ben dover he even said Scag was a very good product why are you bitching 😂
Plus, look at who the customer base is. Its guys who like machines and fun. And if they dont get that, the new wilder side of marketing is going to eat their lunch.
Scag messed up by kicking one of the biggest names in the industry out
Nah- they should treat everyone the same- that was the sad part. Big name or nothing-treat everyone well all the time. This is where they really failed.
It’s a lot easier to be nice to everyone, than have to remember who you dislike.
Really? Who? Oh....you mean goatee boy? Lol.
I assure you Scag will sell products regardless if this dude uses them or not.
I think them trying to block the camera proves what kind of @##$'s they are. I sold my Skag and Grasshopper and bought a Spartan. I miss my Grasshopper. Wont be buying another Skag from egomaniac A-holes.
I'm using Exmark but BoB-Cat went up a few notches in my book, it tells you the type of employees they have. When you have fun with your product and you enjoy when others have fun you are on the right track. Might need to give them a look this spring.
Hello Stan, first, great video! I’d love to check that venue out someday! Second, I just bought a Kubota 724-54” zero turn for my new lawn business and so far I love it! I’d love to see you review a Kubota mower sometime in the future, it’d be great to hear your thoughts on its durability, productivity and all around features! Take care and keep them videos coming!
Thanks for the suggestion and you take care also!!
I only run scags, but looking at exmarks to add in the spring. I am going to try that at their outdoor booth if I go to GIE next year!!
I was gonna buy a scagg , but after seeing them kicking you out and their scaggly attitude , I ended up buying a 7K Spartan zero turn instead .
Your loss...The guy was operating their machinery in an unsafe manner. He deserved to be kicked out!
@@JerseyToTheBone Really fucknuts? They aren’t cutting a customer’s front yard they’re there to spend big bucks.

i agree with you! if the equipment cant stand up to some wheelies then i dont want it! i ended up buying an exmark vantage and the standing plate acts as my wheelie bar hahaha. there may be evidence to it too!
@@JerseyToTheBone what a spin you just spun. Here’s me popping a wheelie on your ladylike response grow a pair
I ran BobCat Mowers for ten years and love em. great handling and control on hills. great power.
Awesome 👍
Cliff here, pleasure meeting you in person, I always love a great honest opinion video.
Richard Rawlings of Landscape! WoOoOOO GET YOU SOME OF THAT!
Stan, You allowed everyone to see what kind of Idiots work at scag and why they continually are losing people over customer services. Glad you had fun. I wouldn't have a scag if you handed it to me for free. Has to do with their reps.
The fact that they let a sales rep like that near a huge event like that says a lot about them, mowers may be world class, but scare off the customers and it won't matter
Guy jumped out in front of him Stan should have kept going 😂
The days of the mischievous tiger stripe mowers are definitely in the past. How are they going to call it the tiger and not let the ol' girl stretch her legs!!!
i bought a skag and tried to take it in for warranty repair and i had the hardest time at first they said 100 times it was my fault it broke and i had to pay to fix it, i threatened to get a lawyer and then it scared them into fixing it. i sold that pos a week later.
Why was Scag being so douchy. ....everyone is there to have fun. That behavior was embarrassing and I am the owner of 2 of them.
I had fun just watching this!! YEAH
One of the best channels on RUclips. Don't change a thing Stanley.
I really appreciate that, thank you !
You guys getting kicked out was hilarious!! "Bye guys Thanks for having us". Then you guys troll them for hat😂😂😂
Looks like I’ll never buy a scag 👌
Wow wish I had been there. Looks like y'all had a blast.
I’ve had nothing but great success with my scag. I can’t believe how tough that thing is. Mine is thirteen years old , part time mowing about 32 half acre lots biweekly. I replaced one wheel motor and a fuse in 13 years. Awesome machine!!!!!
Jay E there mowers are good it’s there customer support that’s the problem
The best vids of GIE! When is Cub Cadet going to release the four wheel steer?
They have had 4 wheel steer models out for several years. Had one, and it was amazing on hills. Quality, however, was sub par.
From what I saw the scag reps panicked when they saw the wheelie. They were probably worried about liability. They could have just cautioned you first and I'm sure you would have complied.
The single front wheel was a common feature on Bunton edger mowers. Developed and marketed toward cemetery mowing businesses back before weedeaters were ever thought of. Yes they turned sharp and with the handle design you could tilt the mower and edge sidewalks or tombstones. Yes I still have one.
I wouldn't have a Scag on the property anymore. After about 500 hours on my cheetah started having electrical problems and it spent more time in the shop then mowing. We bought a exmark and after 1722 hours we have not even changed a bearing or hydro unit. I'm looking at a bobcat now to add to out business. They are very good. My father has a Altoz they are hands down the toughest mower I've ever ran. But they will break the bank. Awesome video thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much, glad you liked it !
You guy's having way to much fun at those show like couple kids at a candy store
Hey can you please not do wheelies on are mower?
Yea sorry about that
No problem, just liability reasons.
And all this could have been avoided
I really enjoyed how the second guy tried to stop them from filming, Who does he think he is? A cop? No wait you can even film police! They can kick you off their mower, they can ask you to leave their booth but what makes him think he can tell them to stop filming?
@@RodClinard Little what?
They Will probably scared you were gonna break it 😂😂😂
My first wheelie was with a hustler commercial 52" zero turn. Scared the crap out of me and fell in love with it at the same time. Lol
The representatives that were from Scag at the demonstration booth were not being a great representation to the company by unwelcoming a contractor from their booth at display booths.
Sorry, I'm so late seeing this, I was shopping for a Zero Turn several years ago and the Tiger made it to my list. Then the dealer stepped in and was just a plain Jerk to a customer in his store about service work being done. Scag came off the list, maybe for ever?
Stan, you have to try the hustler trim star . I've had several over the past 14 years,my guys love them! They don't get you tired when you are running them. You don't have to squeeze the handles to turn. As a matter of fact, the lighter the grip you have the easier to operate. These are the best walk behind mowers there are.
Stan, I get your pain with Scag. When I went last year, they just ignored me and never even let me touch a piece of equipment. I made a rant on my channel and they replied and offered to let me demo some mowers. If they see this, they will more than likely make it up to you! I hate that I missed it this year and I hope to come next year!
I still got your t-shirt! Its bright green right?
They’re just a Scab in this community!!!
Will never buy another Scab, worst company Iv ever dealt with.
aw shut up
How did i know this guy would be here
Scabbers, love your videos nick!
thats why the scag dealer in my province no longer any more because my kubota dealer took alot of scags customers wich they gave up scags and went kubota
just because u hate them dosent mean everyone should
Looked like a great time!!! We're in the market for a new Zero T mower on our farm...the JD is getting tired over on my channel lol
Try a wright- or Exmark or Ferris. Those are really good mowers
Definitely Demo a Altoz XE610SS or a Tracked Zero Turn. Heavy duty frame work to hold up on a farm. The Tracked Zero Turn mowers have a 14 gallon fuel capacity in dual fuel tanks. The XE series has a 10 gal fuel capacity.
Ferris cut fantastic. They stripe the ever living hell out of a lawn
Those Skag guys are jerks. We don’t spend thousands of dollars with jerks.
I've always been a really big fan of gravely and I was really excited to hear about the battery power line.
I thought this was pretty amusing since at work we run Toro, Gravely, and scag zero turns. Our single scag (a turf tiger with a 61-inch deck) has become notorious around the shop for its ability to pop a wheelie whether you intended for it to or not.
The two SCAG guy may have been having a bad day but no matter how you look at it, It will affect how people view the company in whole. First impressions are always the most important no matter who is making it.
I really dont think this has anything to do with scag equipment or about anything breaking. It's simply a liability issue. There are just some thing you do and things you really shouldn't do at an industry show.
Maybe, but the competitors didn't react that way. Bottom line is that many of the youtube watchers that posted on here, well lets just say that didnt help customer perception. You can sell the best product but if customers have a poor perception of the product, NOTHING ELSE MATTERS
Your'e right and if this goof ball hurt somebody or himself doing willies around this crowd than all the other reps would have wished they stopped the cocky willy popper too! Scag reps would've looked like the good guys. Which I think they are.
A coworker lent his just purchased motorcycle to a friend who immediately wrecked it then claimed no responsibility.
@@cliftonsr for starters non of those scenarios are gonna happen from popping a wheelie on a demo track. 2...It would have been much better for them if he had damaged the mower then allow that non sense to be aired on Stan's social media footprint
I love how great dane started the stand on mower and now everyone has them. I did like that surfer.
I owner the super surfer. Love the cut! Trying to keep it going.
I seen y’all at the GIE+EXPO in Louisville Kentucky. I’m not a subscriber but noticed the indoor lighting, watched the video and remembered your camera crew.
Thanks John, check out some more of our videos
Cub cadet is a good mower been running them for the past 12 years and echo equipment since 07
As a Scag owner this is disappointing, are they scared their product is going to break in front of everyone? Really bad press on their part...
11:32 the Hustler Trimstar with the motorcycle handlebars are awesome! I’ve used them
Just can’t take you anywhere ! Lol. Looked like a lot of fun.
find me a straight shaft weed eater that spins clock wise
Tired of getting hit in the face with mulch while edging huh? lol
Makita makes a battery powered straight shaft that spins both directions at the press of a button
I'm not in the business myself but I will agree with others, the Scag bit by the reps was stupid. Here's the thing also: that may demonstrate a low confidence level of the sales reps in the equipment also! IMHO if I was looking at one of these mowers, I would WANT to know, what does it take to pop a wheelie in this thing so I understand the safety factor. Probably even more important if as an owner you have multiple crews running the same equipment. Everyone's pucker factor is different, but the guy plunking down the cash has the final verdict on that, right? :-)
Looking forward to the Spartan review because I work at a small engine shop in SC that recently started to carry them
Spartans look nice... fall apart and in the shop when the bolts loosen. I am local, a neighbor runs them for his business, they are cheap and not durable.
A lot of people seem offended that you mistreated the equipment. You didn’t crash it. The mower was built like that. If they don’t want it in the air, make it take off slower.
My dixie been doing me good for many years ... cuts everyday. Both of them. My 66" is a sweet mower amd stupid fast with the 37efi briggs
Awesome ! Thanks for watching !
Those guys at the Scag booth had all the personality of a wolverine who just got a beehive suppository. We have 2 of their machines and trying to get answers out of them was like pulling teeth sans novocaine. Reps can make or break your business. Funny you should make the rep comment next to Multi-One who has a rep known in the industry as “Slippery”.
The Altoz is a great Zero Turn. I have the XE610SS. It's a 61" Deck. With the Suspension System.
I have purchased my first Scag mower in 1994 and for commercial use they are the best mowers in the field. Been running Scag mowers with a Kohler engine for 25 years
Was gonna buy a scag my mind made a complete U-turn
Jacob Reza. Scag is a great mower considering I own several Turf Tigers with zero issues.
What an idiotic reason to pass on a quality built machine.
Wheelie?
@@Jpb6583 there are plenty of other quality built machines.
If you are looking for a new Zero Turn mower definitely look at the Altoz Mowers. Heavy Duty frame design. Comfortable ride. I have the XE610SS
That 1 guy who said y’all are done didn’t even have a scag shirt on it looks like. Im getting away from because I’ve had to many problems out of mowers and especially my tiger cat 2 it was in the shop 4 times and didn’t even have 200hrs on it and plus when I went to there booth at the gie they didn’t even act like they even cared I was there to check out there product that’s why I got a wright mower coming to the shop Monday morning for demo they actually cared I was at there booths inside and outside. A bunch of company’s in my area switching to wright getting away from scag
15:57 when he gets off and steps right on the deck that probably did more damage then any of the wheelies did lol 😂
Gotta love it when people put there hand in front of the camera like that's actually going to work.
I don't know what the problem with the Scag guys were, if anything, they should ENCOURAGE people to do wheelies on their rigs.
The way I see it? It shows durability, if that mower can do something it's not designed to do over and over and over again? That tells me they've got a quality frame, a quality deck, a quality deck support, and a quality engine.
The Bob Cat guys KNEW their equipment was top notch, and they KNEW Stanley would put it through it's course, proving, once again, that Cat can make some of the roughest, toughest equipment.
But that's just my take on things.
Scag wants everyone to be safe
SAFETY was their #1 PRIORITY
AnythingKid123 are you surrrreee.... because I think they were just being cunts... and it’s sad because I love my turf tiger
I think so because one time they had a wheelie competition

It's not just "two guys" tho,, it seems over and over there's issues with the people from Scag....
too nice Stan....
I own one of the cub cadet machines (single rear wheel, same outer to outer tire width. . They are really nice. I do not know what more you could want as far as comfort. Seems to have a really shallow deck, and you have to move it up 1 - 1.5 inches more to achieve the cut you desire. I caution however, do not let it get you to comfortable on hillsides, because it will go just about on any hill. This is where over confidence can get you in trouble. I do not push those limits, but I do mow hills that my other zero turn should be able to do, but front casters can not hold the mower in place, so I used to go back and forth, loose the line and have to travel down entire slope and reset, but not with the cub cadet.
You got in trouble ❗️❕❗️❕🤭😃😂👏🏼
Thanks 🙏
Thanks for viewing Todd!

Hell yeah. It's on next year. "No one rides a mower like that when they cut grass." Maybe if don't hire anyone under 80 or if the boss never turned his back.
😂😂
Scag lost my business. Can’t a brother just have a little fun!! Good video.
How else are u sposed to feel for how durable the machine is in 2mins? Sounds like they thought he would break it that easy
Thank you guys!
It'd take a lot more than a wheelie to break the frame, deck, or any components really. I build, weld, and inspect the frames at SCAG. I'm not trying to say too much about the company or their policies, but I did suggest supercharging the Cheetah and putting a wheelie bar on back 😂😂😂
Being a lawnmower tech ive seen plenty of damaged bearings on many brand of machines (Scag, Toro/exmark, dixie chopper, lesco, etc) from hitting bumps too hard on the front end. Wheelies are even worse.
