Sweet!!We have everything we’ve done step by step on our channel! I’m pretty sure we have a playlist too so you don’t have to go looking for it! Here it is - ruclips.net/p/PLmyvclsHVHJpuK44dacKYkMSfsVFj6dLw
Will you do a detailed video in the near future of how to tear down and rebuild the original v6? I’m a first timer looking to learn how to do these things the cheaper way
Shoot… already sold it… does it run?? A good video to watch would be tearing down a Chevy 350 - this is a good video ruclips.net/video/LZO1fWVxN4c/видео.html it would be generally the same concept. Buy some red solo cups and a market to keep track of all your nuts and bolts
I got some from summit racing - I’ll link below BUT I’d had to do a bunch of work to them and my shift linkage to get them to fit… I would not recommend 😅 Here is the video of us bending them to fit - ruclips.net/video/KsT_L5W_23U/видео.html AND here is a video of everything else I needed to do to get them to fit - ruclips.net/video/ja51PrHKHdo/видео.html My dad got some shorty headers that worked way better then what I had to do to get my long tubes to fit 🤷🏼♂️ Check out this page from Summit Racing www.summitracing.com/parts/hed-69440
@@theroygarage PRODEMAND says it’s a 3.8. I’ll know in 2 weeks when I pull it back to the city I live in now. I bought it in my hometown but I no longer live there.
@@papergatorzfedducca7998 okay, I think that’s a V6 so I believe you’ll need to change the engine mounts just like in this video and use LS adaptor plates
@@papergatorzfedducca7998 🤣😂 it’s a little tough but some people have drilled holes in the frame to make is easier and on my dad’s el Camino there is a slit on the back of the engine crossmember that someone plasma cut to make it easier to get to the bolts 🤣😂 you could grind of the bolts too if you wanted - we wanted to reuse them so that’s why we did what we did 🤷🏼♂️😅
Yall made that look easy. I was struggling lol
You guys have the best camera skills!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
🤣😂 we try man lol we try!
Nice job handling those nuts…. and bolts.
😂🤣😂 🙏🏻
I'm about to do the same thing this is very helpful thank you very very much

Thanks man.
You betcha!
Can you do a video about hooking up the linkage? In the process of doing this exact same swap
What do you mean linkage? Like throttle and kick down linkage?
@@theroygarage the column shift linkage
@@evanparscale7837 that goes to the transmission so we didn’t have to touch it 🙏🏻
New subscriber 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Heck yeah!!!! Thank you 🙏🏻

It did run but I just decided to rebuild it so I could get more out of it. It’s currently sitting in my g body almost bare block fixing to be pulled
@@panheadforever9728 nice, are you planning on upgrading any parts or just clean it up and put it back together?
Probably gonna have it bored 30 and maybe a little bit bigger cam
This is for SBC and BBC motors? The same mounts?
This is a SBC - I believe they are the same
what headers did you guys end up using for the swap ?

At the beginning I see you had 2 boxes on the table. I assume motor mounts? What was the 2 boxes you pointed at?
One has the engine mount for the frame and the other box has the engine mount that bolts up to our engine block
@@theroygarage oh ok gotcha and thanks for this video. It’ll definitely be my guide to getting them off😩😩😩😂😂😂
@@papergatorzfedducca7998 you are welcome man! 🙏🏻
Where did you get the engine mount from??
I’m LS swapping a 81 caballero.
Nice! Does it have a V8 in it right now?
