RUclips stopped recommending and displaying your videos until today. Glad to see your not gone and keeping this series going.
I remember my father telling me stories of his time in the Austrian army in the 80s where they used Balistol as a salad dressing since the army food was so bland.
Bloody hell, the history of this is totally Byzantine....
I’m concerned about which end they put the Ballistol in the test critters. I think I’m better off not knowing…
The ottomans were like the guy who goes into gunshops and asks if they can do a 90 day layaway
"The animals showed signs of uneasiness" is a very meme-ready statement.
If you ever needed a primer on Victorian and 19th C American, British Empire and various European nation Patent Laws, Othias is your man!!! Seriously, the detail.... absolutely extraordinary..
Ian had his week of Bergamans, Othias "Hold my Beer, I'm gonna have a year of Martini's"😁👹
Ballistol: Animal testing in the days before animal welfare was a full blown item
Filling up some animals digestive tracts with Balistol, that gives a whole new meaning to " bore lube".
Hey @Ballistol
i for one, would not complain about 6 Martini episodes in a row, but will survive. 😁

Interested in the old gun: Broke (literally, they're 150+ years old and Mark earns his pay, bless that man)
Can confirm Ballistol is easily evacuated from the body 👍
The Japanese definitely says modication one (i kai). I don't know any Japanese names that would have kai in it, and Kai is commonly used to denote model modifications in military equipment. Funnily enough you see it a lot in mecha anime
This episode left me both shaken and stirred.
When I saw the thumbrest, my first thought was "wow, they put in a thumb shelf for Mae, bet she loves it!", lololol
Thank you for telling us that it is perfectly safe to accidentally feed people with Ballistol! We need more of these strange tidbits about our most lovely preservative!
I refuse to believe you can cover the Martini in only 6 episodes. You haven't even scratched the carbines yet, much less the failed EM that went on to be reworked as the 3 flavors of MK IVs, the variety of carbines, the new made MM in .303, the conversions of carbines and rifles to .303 or 7.65, the manufacture by Kabul, plus all the great tales of how so many of these made it into the US. But you certainly have made a good start!
