    Hi Seph, so glad you enjoyed this, it's probably my favourite DM song!! The bird-women were based on the figures ice-skating at the end of the official song's video, which was mostly based on a painting by Hieronmyus Bosch called 'The Garden of Earthly Delights', heaven+hell and goofy creatures etc. This was mind-blowing live when they first walked on, no social media or yt so nobody expected it!! 🐥🐥🐥🤯🥰🥰 ps they just announced 2024 uk dates!! 🥹

    Oooh YES! Love this song! They've brought it back for tours over the decades, but this by far is my favorite live version. Another lovely live version was from Martin's solo tour back in 2003. It was just him singing it with piano accompaniment, in his hauntingly beautiful voice.

    Birds Women are inspired by a painting… You must see the official video made of course by Anton Corbijn. The video visuals are recognizably inspired to Hieronymus Bosch and Pieter Bruegel the Elder paintings. This video is a must… There are some naked girls on the laps of the members in the video who had been cut in the MTV version replace by members standing still alone… This bird woman was on the video. The video is very strange but very artistic

    Lots of people feel Devotional is the best concert tour, but for me personally, I think their concerts continue to get better live! While their album Playing the Angel wasn't nearly as big an album as Violator or Songs of Faith and Devotion, that concert was really good. The shows going on currently with Memento Mori have also been incredible. By the way, they just announced more European Dates for Winter. They are in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow, and Dublin.... Let us know which one is closest to you and see if your channel can't send you enough money to get to see them live???? Not going to have too many more chances and you need to go.

      I don't agree. After the Devotional Tour, the bands decline was a fact. The last really good album was Ultra. I don't like the way Dave sings these days and I really don't like the way Eigner drums either.
      But that's just my opinion ofc. :)

      @@fpmip Agreed, they do these stupid drum solo's now, the arrangement of the songs were better before and they now rely too much on the live drumming over their original sound, and Dave's voice for sure isnt as good now, but hey they are older so..I really hate how so many reactors when doing Enjoy The Silence use that crap concert version with the stupid drumming showing off that isnt even good that they use now.

    Currently this song is also played in the actually tour. (And a few before). Where´s the difference? The sound carpet is flat. Still, rocking a stadium with age over 60, that´s great. Alan is absent. And... on some places they played ONE CARESS in 1993 with stingplayers (yes, without Synth), that´s a really BANGER. It´s only on Bootleg to find. 😆

    After you have react to the official live video you should listen to some songs performed live from the extended tour « summer » and « exotic » tour. Different set list and some with special versions only for these legs of the tour… with « I want you now » « rush » « a question of time ». Alan Wilder changed a lot those tracks… And for these legs Martin sang himself « condemnation ». There are some very good « soundboard » recording. Sadly they performed on the European leg a special and very good version of « Something to do » remade by Alan Wilder, played i think only in Brussels and never played it somewhere else and of course sadly no good unofficial recording from this one

    • @stormchaserkst4496
      @stormchaserkst4496 Год назад +3

      Yeah if he reacts to that he should defintely use a soundboard recording. The aufdience recordings are not that great (even though the devotional tour one year previous had superior audience recordings...) peoples cameras just got bad in 1994 haha

      @@stormchaserkst4496 I also ear again to the Soundboard from San Francisco 1990… Seph could also react to that especially for the unique Enjoy the Silence live with its « dub house » break, the intimate acoustic guitare track by Martin Gore and the great final « Behind the wheel » chained with « Route 66 » sung by Dave ;) I ear them since 1985, but my first concert for them was the Devotional… and all the tour since… Sad i wasn’t there for the Violation Tour. My best friend had invited me but i wasn’t able to be there that time… So sad !

      @@fabricebeudon7617 yes! the Violator Tour one is also very good.
      I downloaded both soundboards (World Violation Tour 1990 and Exotic Tour 1994) and put them in my Spotify 😅 its so good, i often listen to it when im outside etc. Im glad they exist.. like i was so happy when i found out haha
      So Seph.. if you're interested in those specific tracks from the Exotic Tour like.. Rush, I Want You Now(Pure Alan Wilder Track lol), Condemnation and A Question Of Time, you should use the soundboard recordings as mentioned.
      You dont really hear the crowd, just the tracks and of course the band singing.
      (Edit: For The 1990 World Violation Tour you don't actually need a Soundboard recording.. there is this one: ruclips.net/video/S6CvWo7vx2s/видео.html
      The Video quality isnt that great, but the sound is good. Not professionally filmed. Its acceptable and the songs are listed with timestamps in the comments)... but Its up to you. For the Exotic Tour ones, a soundboard is still very very recommended. For the World Violation Tour its up to you.. it depens on what do you prefer.. a (not so good) concert video with crowd noise for the live experience.. or the sound of it. Personally i prefer the pure sound.
      Last Edit i swear: this is a very good (probably the best) Soundboard recording of the World Violation Tour 1990: ruclips.net/video/aoqbzzbieoc/видео.html the sound is clear with very little crowd noise. Use this if you want to experience the sound of it. Its up to you. I'll just leave it here. The Link i send earlier is good as well, but the sound from the soundboard is clearly better. Your choice :)
