My suffering has finally ended, thanks! I took a break and missed some big meta ops like Thorns so I couldn't do any other video I found, and my brain is too small to come up with my own clear.
Thank you for giving me ideas to finally beat Challenge Mode with 1 day of the event left. First Essence of Bullshiz unless you want 9 minute clears and now this shiz. Can't wait for the next event boss to have a mechanic to delete my operators from my account itself if they die or get retreated in the event stage at this rate. Didn't copy your clear exactly but I did stall the boss with 2 healers and Saria to buy time for Silverash and Eyja to come back and kill him again for phase 1. Phase 2 was just a pure mess of deploying and praying like most other guides I saw. Learning the final 5 mobs do not spawn even if the boss is dead if one of them stabby guys is still alive SAVED ME SO MUCHHHHH. Once I learned that I was easily able to set up my operators to delete all 5 of them asap and finally get...this *one* originite prime for all my troubles lmfao.

Thanks. Other videos usually use a single 6-Star Operator, making the strategy too precise (to the point of being pinpoint) or else use a full 6-Star Team (making it very difficult to copy). You placed the fair and necessary amount of Operators.👍
FYI: -Already try with Eyja E2 Level 80 S3M2, she can kill the drone, but cannot make Emperor cast the smoke. So M3 is MUST or bring another DPS. -Silverash can replaced by Surtr, BUT with a little bit different position and direction -If you have High leveled Saria and Medic, you'll only need 1 medic (I use 2 Medic) -If the DP is the problem, you can change Coura with Vanguard. I just realized if she only block dog and striker on there. As for cardigan, I need her to block the Boss at last, she can tank 2 hit while other Vanguard on 1 hit kill. -Bring Gravel just in case Update: I got this from the other doctor, if you leave some enemies alive (like striker on right or left), and then kill the boss, the last wave of 5 red imperial striker won't came out. I already test this also, stalling one striker on right with defender and healer, and then kill the boss. And yes, 5 red imperial red not coming out.

Thank you. I used a variant of this strat with Firewatch and April as the main insurance in taking down Emperor's Blade, and I literally had to use a full team, but my team averaged about E2 55 with April at max.

Thanks for sharing this. I tried several other guides but this was the only one that worked and/or didn’t require rare 6*s! I didn’t retreat most of the operators though, due to the higher redeployment costs that kept making me fail the last bit (ie the last few mobs that appear after the boss dies)
Amazing guide, thank you. Most videos use 4+ 6* ops but this one is great, because Eyjafjalla was recently available in store for 180 yellow certificates and you can borrow SilverAsh from a friend. Used the strat for normal run too, but for CM Eyjafjalla's S3L7 wasn't enough, so finally a reason to level S3, and after M2 it was an easy run
LOL, take it easy mate, in future, if you think can't handle them, try to stall them. In this case, I use cardigan until Silverash ready, 3 star operator is cheap on dp and upgrade mats too. Maybe you want to consider build them
I don't know if there's anyone who would read this in 2022 but extra tips: Bring Gravel Saria can stall long enough if Boss doesn't cast shadow on Eyja, you can redeploy her again after killing the drone to bait the boss, then redeploy her again to finish off phase 1 like the video Nearl Alter S2M1 can do damage extra damage to boss using helidrop and shield , combine with Gravel you can chip his health down from the start of phase 2 low enough to just kill him with only Nearl Alter S2. You can save SilverAsh for later deploy extra Gravel infront of Myrtle after boss die, or the Striker will kill myrtle then Eyja Warfarin near the end must be deployed AFTER Eyja in order to bait the Striker and you must keep her alive, don't let the boss yoink her This post was made after 200 Sanity and 6 hours of trying.
what should we do at 3:25 ? should we retreat SA? and waiting for the dp and all the operators setup for the next wave and wait until SA cooldown again and finish the boss?
Last wave enemies only appears when the boss is dead. If you think your team could kill the boss but the squad still on cooldown, Yes, better retreat SA and team,, as you can see, my SA still can redeploy again, because the Boss will stay at middle. Well, if you bring another ground units to block or operators to kill all enemies at last wave. Then its okay to end the boss quickly
i found my saria getting destroyed on some attempts, worked hoshi, nearl, and shining into the strat and left em out while saria was holding the boss & the extra def and heals made the difference, got my clear thanks for the strat
Even with a 65 m2 silver, a 60 s7 saria and a 60 m2 texas it's consistent, the real problem was the last strikers but nothing an extra unit can't fix. Thanks for the guide!
Finished this stage at 3am, I wanna die lol (I don't actually regret it since there will never be another chance for medals but still, even with your strat I just realized that there are so many tiny details that caused me to fail, I had to patch up so many stuff and even then the last 5 were a pain)

Side Stories (Grani, OF, CoB, Gavial, Wolumonde, Maria Nearl, Mansfield) get reruns and if they had medals, you get a second chance at them. After the rerun, side stories become permanent, but the chance for the medal is lost. Intermezzis that aren't Darknights (Walk in the Dust, Under Tides) skip the rerun and go right to being permanent, so the medal opportunity is lost after that.
With some major adjustments to my comp and placements, this strat worked for me but for the normal EX stage. That strat I based of yours won't work on challenge stage since I needed those banned tiles... But i'll be readjusting my strat around this as soon as my plans regenerate tomorrow XD. Ended up using for the normal EX run: Silverash S3M3 (support unit) Eyja S3M3 Texas S2 Saria S1 Nian S3 Myrtle S1 Mountain S2 Ifrit S2 Sussurro S2 Silence S2 Surtr S3M3 Warfarin S1
@@yelevent234 TL;DR, I needed Surtr there. My opening strat was similar to yours. Texas same spot. Silverash same spot. Myrtle same spot. After Silverash killed the final soldier instant retreat. Eyja same spot. Then I switched it up. Surtr up one tile of where you placed Cardigan. She can solo everything on that side. Perfumer on Ptilopsis' spot. (Don't have her 😭) Saria same spot. Mountain next to Texas facing left to kill the bears. When the final bears appeared on the right, instantly activated Surtr's S3. By then the drone shows up, Myrtle retreat and when in range Eyja S3. Eyja takes care of everything in that upper corner and gets the boss to cast first dominion in first stage. Surtr retreated as soon as all enemies on her lane were dead. Deployed Sussuro in front of the pillar right side + Silence next to her to keep Saria alive. Warfarin same spot. Waited a bit for the redeployment times to come down. Then Silverash left of Saria facing up to S3M3 the remaining enemies and kill the boss first stage. Retreated as soon as it was done. Waited until the boss was vulnerable again. Then deployed Surtr again on the tile left of the middle red boxes. (Free of dominion). To get the second dominion out, instantly retreated afterwards. Deployed Nian right of Saria. Saria retreated since she is now in dominion range. Deployed Eyja next to Nian for the third dominion cast. Kept her there for as long as possible to get the most damage in I could get. Retreated everyone I could. Myrtle in the bottom right corner, save from the boss for DP generation. Ifrit bottom tile of the left pillar to get the fourth dominion cast out. Then finally Silverash, same spot to kill the boss. But then I had to switch it up: When the boss was killed, I placed my Surtr E2 lvl55 S3M3 on the tile in front of the blue box facing up. By timing it right she was able to kill all three elites coming from the top middle. She was however supported by some heals from Sussuro E2 lvl20 on the first ranged tile to her right. + Left of the blue box I had Saria E2 lvl55 S1M1. + Right of the blue box Nian E2 lvl20 S3M0. Reason for Saria there is that in my run I needed Ifrit on the tile where you placed Eyja for the final dominion cast from the boss since I can't get the fourth cast out of him otherwise... Since that area is then scuffed, Eyja can't kill the 2 elites coming down the left side. But I realize that the right side is actually clear. So all I need to do is place her on the right side and kill the two elites coming down right. If I then place Surtr on the tile in front of the banned tile in front of the blue box facing left she can then kill the remaining 2 elites coming top middle. Then it's just patience while my Saria or Nian holds off the last elite on the far left to get DP to deploy Silverash. The good news here is that in my run, the tile in front of the banned tile in front of the blue box is actually clear of dominion. This allows Surtr to keep her DPS up which would allow this to work. But again, am waiting on plans to give it a shot.

The hardest part of the stage is probably dp and cooldown. Killing the Emperor's Blade need so much rotation and by the time you kill him, you are most likely not ready for the next wave of enemy,
Indeed my friend. I need to try and try again before record this,, The result is Myrtle on left, and then I realized, "Coura is only to block dog, why I don't change her with another vg to generate DP?"
Yeah. When tackling the stage, my Surtr, Murdock, SilverAsh and Saria all hit 50+ DP by the time the EP died. This probably the hardest stage so far for me. Talulah was a pain, but damn, EP and that final wave just felt unfair. When I first killed the EP on non CM, I thought I was done, didn’t even realize there was still 5 more enemies.

Perfumer on Ptilopsis' spot. (Don't have her 😭)
Saria same spot.
Mountain next to Texas facing left to kill the bears.
When the final bears appeared on the right, instantly activated Surtr's S3.
By then the drone shows up, Myrtle retreat and when in range Eyja S3.
Eyja takes care of everything in that upper corner and gets the boss to cast first dominion in first stage.
Surtr retreated as soon as all enemies on her lane were dead.
Deployed Sussuro in front of the pillar right side + Silence next to her to keep Saria alive.
Warfarin same spot.
Waited a bit for the redeployment times to come down.
Then Silverash left of Saria facing up to S3M3 the remaining enemies and kill the boss first stage.
Retreated as soon as it was done.
Waited until the boss was vulnerable again.
Then deployed Surtr again on the tile left of the middle red boxes. (Free of dominion).
To get the second dominion out, instantly retreated afterwards.
Deployed Nian right of Saria.
Saria retreated since she is now in dominion range.
Deployed Eyja next to Nian for the third dominion cast.
Kept her there for as long as possible to get the most damage in I could get.
Retreated everyone I could.
Myrtle in the bottom right corner, save from the boss for DP generation.
Ifrit bottom tile of the left pillar to get the fourth dominion cast out.
Then finally Silverash, same spot to kill the boss.
But then I had to switch it up:
When the boss was killed, I placed my Surtr E2 lvl55 S3M3 on the tile in front of the blue box facing up.
By timing it right she was able to kill all three elites coming from the top middle.
She was however supported by some heals from Sussuro E2 lvl20 on the first ranged tile to her right.
+ Left of the blue box I had Saria E2 lvl55 S1M1.
+ Right of the blue box Nian E2 lvl20 S3M0.
Reason for Saria there is that in my run I needed Ifrit on the tile where you placed Eyja for the final dominion cast from the boss since I can't get the fourth cast out of him otherwise...
Since that area is then scuffed, Eyja can't kill the 2 elites coming down the left side.
But I realize that the right side is actually clear.
So all I need to do is place her on the right side and kill the two elites coming down right.
If I then place Surtr on the tile in front of the banned tile in front of the blue box facing left she can then kill the remaining 2 elites coming top middle.
Then it's just patience while my Saria or Nian holds off the last elite on the far left to get DP to deploy Silverash.
The good news here is that in my run, the tile in front of the banned tile in front of the blue box is actually clear of dominion.
This allows Surtr to keep her DPS up which would allow this to work.
But again, am waiting on plans to give it a shot.

And obviously three things went wrong when I went for the actual run XD
But it worked out in the end.

The hardest part of the stage is probably dp and cooldown. Killing the Emperor's Blade need so much rotation and by the time you kill him, you are most likely not ready for the next wave of enemy,

Yeah. When tackling the stage, my Surtr, Murdock, SilverAsh and Saria all hit 50+ DP by the time the EP died.
This probably the hardest stage so far for me. Talulah was a pain, but damn, EP and that final wave just felt unfair.
When I first killed the EP on non CM, I thought I was done, didn’t even realize there was still 5 more enemies.
