I learn a lot from your videos. I confess, if I feel overwhelmed or confused I watch one of your videos. They are so organized, flow easily and your presntation style is encouraging and soothing! Even if it is a random video, it helps me refocus! Thank you (subed for years!)
Thank you so much for your videos! I've only tried a few so far, but I've learned sooo much. Better yet, your instructions are clear and easily followed. (not that I always "get" them by even the fifth time thru, but....I'm slow! Really appreciate what you do.
@@AffinityRevolution All of your videos are awesome but my favorite is the composite with the girl coming out of the water in the middle of a road. It was so informative. I've watched it 100 times.
Yes, just remember to make the gradient map a child layer to the new person by dragging its layer on top of the person's layer. Otherwise, the gradient map will effect the person *and* the background.
My courses need to be purchased one at a time, but you can enter the code BLACK-FRIDAY to get 50% off any of them. 😊 You can use the code as many times as you want.
As soon as I move the color picker over the picture frame, the displayed color changes to white. In the following, none of the three colors can be selected from the newly created color palette. Presumably there is only one setting to adjust, but unfortunately I can't find it. I would appreciate any helpful answers.

hello Norbert, i have the same problem as you. i would be interested to know if you have found a solution in the meantime and what it looks like.Vielen Dank, Reiner.
I love that you’re still making tutorials. Your videos have been super helpful over the past year.
Thank you! I'm glad you've enjoyed the videos. More tutorials coming soon! 😊

This would be useful for a layout with multiple photos that you want to appear harmonious. Thank you, Ally!
Ohhh yes, nice idea!
This was pretty neat! Simple to do, but really changes the look :)
Glad you liked it! 😊
Wow that was really cool! Thanks for that great tutorial. I needed this to combine two generational photos and make them blend better, it's great!
Glad you liked the video! :)
I really like the color palette generation from this task!
Me too! 😊
Thank you for the colorful tutorial!
Thanks for watching! 😄
Really useful for compositing too. Thanks Ali.
Very true! This is a great compositing trick.
Loved it, Ally!
Thank you! 😊
This was kind of a replay of a different video you did but most appreciated. Thanks as always!
Yes, I was getting deja vu about this technique.
Good memory! I did a similar video years ago, but it was getting pretty outdated so I decided to make a new version of the video.

is it the same process if I add a new person on a new layer and want the colours to match the background layer?
Yes, just remember to make the gradient map a child layer to the new person by dragging its layer on top of the person's layer. Otherwise, the gradient map will effect the person *and* the background.
Vielen, vielen Dank!😍
Gern geschehen! Ich freue mich, dass dir das Video gefallen hat. 😊
Can you teach how to use Assistant menu ?
Thanks for the idea!
Thanks!
You're welcome! :)
That was a lot easier than I expected!
Right? :)
I don't have the swatches panel
Go to the Window menu at the top, and then you'll see "Swatches" in the menu.
@AffinityRevolution thank you, I found it. Sometimes it is difficult to find things as their german name is totally different than the english one
@@susaschweder6685 That makes sense. It would be hard for me to follow a tutorial with someone using the German version of Affinity Photo... 😅
Swatches are turned off by default, you need to turn on via WINDOW
Thanks for pointing that out. That's a good tip!
wow
Thank you! 😊
Love it, a man showed me how to put colours into another pic, years ago,i could'nt get it right in photoshop.
I'm glad you liked it 😊

@@AffinityRevolution Thanks will buy it
Hi,
Can you create a bundle for all affinity basic and advanced courses(photo, designer & publisher). It would be easy to purchase all at once.
I'm sorry, but they need to purchased one at a time.
You already did one like this!
True! I made a similar video years ago, but since it was a popular video and had gotten a little out dated, I decided to redo it 😊
Does it work on iOS version please ?
I don't use the iPad version, so I'm not sure.. sorry!

Hi I am having the same problem. Any solution found?
How can I do this on the iPad? I don’t see the ‘create palette from image’ option in the iPad version.
Sorry, I don't use the iPad version, so I'm not sure 😕
that was too simple, what's the catch?
It really is that easy :)
Wow... we are cheaters 😂
Good artists copy, great artists steal! 😜
Thanks 🎉
