    I’m glad I watched the video all the way through!
    The last step of power flushing it finally got mine working again. About to get it out now, Thanks!

    I think Im just going to power flush before I use it each time. That's faster than hauling it upstairs, running up and down for wrenches, bringing the machine back downstairs outside to power flush.

    Mine was the inlet valve and it was stuck stuck but a punch and hammer got it loose. It was sitting for a year or more (with pump armor)

    I have to go through all this steps literally every time when I want to use the sprayer. Really annoying

    • @leducwallfashions
      @leducwallfashions  3 месяца назад

      Shouldn't have to do that. The most likely cause is not cleaning it well enough after use and a bit of paint is drying in the sprayer. (Even professional painters do it sometimes and have to order new hoses etc. because they didn't clean it well enough.) Could also be a something wrong with the sprayer that needs to repaired. If there's a sprayer repair shop in your area you could get them to take a look at it. Hope that helps.

      @@leducwallfashionsI have to disagree. I thoroughly flush my sprayer out after every use and clean the in gun filter, too. I do that because I was surprised to see how much crap gets caught in that tiny filter even when staining paint first. And I still have issues.
      Like some of the others here, I power flush with a garden hose to prime every time I spray as if it was just a normal step. I'm currently looking for another brand to go with.

    I have the X5, there’s no Prime / Clean position. So what is it, halfway between start and spray? 🤷‍♂️

    • @leducwallfashions
      @leducwallfashions  7 месяцев назад

      It's not on the pressure adjustment knob, it's the toggle switch opposite the knob. There's a diagram in the manual. If you don't have the manual anymore just search "Magnum X5 Manual" and you'll find a link to Graco's online manual.

    Pretty ridiculous that you spend all this money on a machine that’s supposed to make the job faster. Could have painted these doors twice by now with a roller!

    • @leducwallfashions
      @leducwallfashions  Год назад +8

      Sprayers aren't always going to be faster, even the manufacturer will tell you that. Sometimes it's absolutely faster to just grab a roller or a brush for a small job when you factor in the clean up afterwards or the prep work to mask for over-spray. That said, you won't get the same results with a roller that you'll get with a sprayer, so it's not always just about speed. There's no such thing as a tool that's perfect for every situation. Also, like anything else you get quicker the more you use it.

      Also, they’re cheap. Especially project painters. If it’s not working it’s because you didn’t clean it well enough, and neither did I which is why I’m watching this video! Watching this video tells us exactly how to clean it so it doesn’t get clogged up again!

    • @demophys4883
      @demophys4883 Год назад +5

      @@paschalmiller3819 I have to disagree here. I'm a fanatic about cleaning the machine every single time I use it. And I mean every. single. time. I run the hose, I take a toothbrush and do the tip, I take out the filters and wash them, I always use that blue goo, and -
      every time except for the first time I used it I have to screw around with the thing to get it to prime.
