    You get the vehicles as decals.

      Honestly not the same. Anyone who's actually used the F-Zero 2 machines will tell you they don't play anything like the F-Zero 1 machines.

    I had no idea they actually changed the meta a bit. I did notice that for some reason I was getting bumped not as hard as stingray after the update. It was like pathetically bad before hand, I remember when I was playing on Mirror Death Wind II as Stingray and I missed a jump pad at one of those 90 degree sharp chicanes and a frigging Wild Goose landed on top of me and grinded me into the wall taking my speed (I was boosting too btw) from 700 to 283 in

    Great video. Good job finding the lies/misunderstandings from Nintendo. Tbh the wild goose is and still is the best machine by far in races that are filled/nearly filled so I was pretty shocked to see it get buffed even if small (oh and go Yankees)

    Would you be able to make a video explaining how to survive the Ace League? I feel like it would help a lot of newer players (myself included) unlock the new vehicle decals, as the lobbies for this league tend to fill up very fast.

      @@logansharpe9034 I will see what I can do 🙂 I have never claimed to be an elite player, but I do have a good idea of how to tackle the new tracks. Execution of that idea.... That's where it gets tough lol

      @@heyniles Thanks! It would definitely be a video that gets a good chunk of views, seeing as the decals you get for clearing it seems to be a hot topic lately.

    I would also welcome more true new vehicles, even though that would probably make balancing even more of a problem.
    But i would also be happy if they remain with the new models, but make their "skins" (sprites i guess) fully customizable. Like the old vehicles. Except for the lady shoe, that can remain pink forever, i won’t touch that even if they make it sparkle in 4D. 😉
    What i am truly hoping for is even more new tracks. Mirror Ace league, and the ones you can see on YT, i believe it was for F-Zero 2. Metal Fort, Forest and that stuff.
    Oh and for the life of me, i can’t understand why they announce buffs for Stingray and don’t deliver them. It’s still horrible in full lobbies. It would need to actually get the announced 1.5 buffs, and probably gain more energy from Sparks to get more consistent skyways. That would probably fix the thing with Mute City eliminations in full lobbies finally, and make it so that drivers that make mistakes get eliminated, not drivers that pick the wrong car in selection!

    Its weird that you talk about adding the BS vehicles to the game when they already added them as decals which can be seen in your video footage. IMO, they just aren't going to add true new vehicles because car balance is already on a delicate thread.

      @heyniles  12 дней назад +1

      @@Teknanam Yes, I should have explained that a little better. My hope is that Nintendo adds more true vehicle options for the game, not just reskins of the current 4. It would take some work and attention to get the balance right, but it has been done in any other multilayer online games with great success.
      Don't get me wrong - the new vehicle decals are pretty cool! I even called for new skins and collectibles in one of my previous videos, so I would be a hypocrite to say these weren't worth it.

      Other multiplayer games have done it, but I feel like Nintendo's record is pretty spotty. Multiple Mario Kart games have gone by where the games have way more choice than F-zero 99, but almost everyone ends up settling into the same 1-3 kart combinations. Still remember when Mario Kart 8 Deluxe online was just Waluigi Wiggler on Roller wheels for all but 2 other racers (who might just be Waluigi on a different car/bike on roller wheels). Nowadays I look up videos and Yoshi Teddybuggy is in that spot. F-zero 99 devs are likely scared of creating such a scenario with a new car. And I know at a minimum, adding the BS cars with their original stats would've rendered the SNES cars (except 1 I think) obsolute since the BS cars generally have the better stats. All except whichever one had the Goose-style stats since I heard that one ended up being a worse Goose.

      @@Teknanam You are correct that multiplayer games naturally settle into metals - I was heavy into Overwatch for a time, so I'm VERY familiar with that 🙂 A good way to counteract that is with consistent balance changes.
      To be honest, they don't even need to be perfectly balanced, just different to keep things fresh. You could be in a situation where Goose gets over buffed to the point where it's well OP'd... If you let it play out for a few weeks or a month and then tweak things again, then new machines can take the forefront. It keeps people guessing, forces players to adapt, and keeps things fresh.
