Just love it! The reliefs on BOTH sides for easy accessibility to the thumb studs is a true winner in my book. Like this particular version very well!

Nice review of this version of the Pyrite. After placing my order on 1/19/23 for this KnifeCenter Exclusive Pyrite I just got word today (2/28/23) that it shipped. Can't wait to carry it and see how it fits in my rotation.

Those civivi titanium clips will fit the g10 pyrite. I bought the clip from Amazon that comes with the extra screws and it’s perfect.
This version has a bit of character - the original styling is BLAND *shrugs* I have heard from nearly every use reviewer and sharpener that AR-RPM9 steel is super soft unfortunately. I like my recoil lock CRAG in D2 just fine for the 24$ I got it in. Appreciate you sharing your videos with us.

That clip is IDENTICAL to civivi's titanium clip they mass produce for anyone to get. It's 12$ on Amazon it should absolutely be the clip they put on their knives from stock. Btw that clip also works on knives other than civivi as well. It is a fantastic clip and completely changes any knife you put it on. It's great ergos and virtually disappears in your hand.

My KC exclusive Pyrite just arrived today, and I really like this knife. The detent on mine is strong enough; I wouldn't want it any stronger. I think this knife is just as good if not better than my Kizer Original Gunmetal. I now have 2 CJRB button locks, this and the WMK exclusive Feldspar, and although CJRB was a little late to the game, their button locks are very well executed IMO.
Great knife! I've been loving the Pyrite! In my opinion it's the best budget button lock of the year.

I bought the Kizer Original Copper as my first ever knife and I’m really happy with it. The heft of the copper is nice and the action (now that it’s broken in) is addicting. I was afraid that once I bought it, I’d see a cooler option and this is it. The titanium clip would pair well with my titanium pen in my back pocket and it just looks like a cool knife. I’ve had the KC Pyrite on ore-order for almost 2 weeks, still waiting on the drop.
I have the original copper as well and I love it so much. The weight feels so good and the action is amazing. Addicting indeed.

How does the action and button mechanism compare to the Vosteed Thunderbird though?
I slept on this. Wish I hadn't. It's on "delayed by manufacturer" status at Knife Center now which usually means at least 6-12 months if ever.
I so hope that ends up being available to buy in the U.K.
their arrpm9 steel is way better then when rheu first released. mine felt extremely hard when sharpening and holds an edge really well

I knew the pyrite was gonna be a winner when I saw it at BladeShow. I’m glad I got one at WMK. I’ll end up getting this one as well. It’s so smooth.
On another note, the last two button locks I’ve bought have been Kizer and I’ve had nothing but trouble with both. 🥺 Either terrible button stick or it locked in the shut position and wouldn’t even open with the flipper tab. Very disappointed.
Which kizers btw?
@@InfamousPlatoon Both were WMKs exclusives. The Begleiter XL. The button lock had some stick but it was manageable. The flipper tab on the other hand was not usable. It was totally locking up in the closed position. It would only deploy if I pressed the button. Thumb studs were useless as well. I tried for almost two weeks to work it in but no luck. Unfortunately sent it back to Justin.
The other was the newly released Towser K mini with the ugly chocolate richlite scales. I love it so much but the button is giving me a lot of problems. I have taken it apart twice. Made sure everything was in working order, cleaned it up put some KPL on it. The button still sticks and the thumb hole to middle finger flick still locks into place at times. I am constantly fidgeting with it to break it in some more because I don’t want to send this one back because they are out of stock. So time will tell if the action gets better. If it does not I will have to send it to somebody else in the community that’s much more knowledgeable than I am to help me fix it. I’ve just been totally bummed with Kizer button locks so far.
Good news is that the CJRB button lock is working great and so is my Sencut button lock. 👍🏻
Update: I'm sticking with what I said previously, but as I watch Monday Night Football, flicking my knives and driving my wife crazy, I have to say that if I had to make a choice, Original Gunmetal vs Pyrite KC exclusive, I would pick the Original. There's no buyer's remorse for buying the Pyrite though - it's a great knife too.

Just got mine today from the second batch Knifecenter received; huge disappointment. Detent is non existent, worst I've ever felt and it's not even close. I can open the knife from closed with a flick of my wrist without touching the button. This second batch also seems to have a satin finish blade instead of stonewash as the website description says. I absolutely love the looks of this knife, but i doubt I'm keeping mine.
Picked the hic- cup over this......kinda regret it now
Put some decent steel in that and maybe.
I would definitely call AR-RPM9 decent.
