Yeah, I agree. Slay the Spire, Monster Train and Monster Sanctuary are like my 3 favourite indie games ever. Children of Morta is probably my 4th, although I really suck at it.
Slay the spire has been my top one, Haded was up there as high for me. And now as someone who only just recently got the game cuz I heard about it from the new free expansion, this is also up there. I've thought about trying Monster Train so many times just never did, kept feeling like it'd just be a little bit worse StSpire experience for me lol
Just bought this on the eShop and found your review. Thanks for providing so much detailed information, I’m so excited to play later. I’ll be subscribing
Nice review, good job avoiding spoilers while still showing off a bunch of the game! It could be good to include a link in the description to the steam page or the official website, so people can find it quickly. Keep up the good work bud :)
I definitely agree. The game is so engaging throughout its whole playtime, but the difficulty does spike dramatically. It occurred around 12 hours into my play through for me.
Yeah, this game is great. Plain and simple. I’m kind of blown away how deep the combat strategy can be. I really hope it gains popularity, because PvP could be ridiculous. And I’m excited to see some more tech videos on skill sets and team comps.
I'm here cause this game is on my XboxOneX XboxGamePass (free) or $17 on my Switchlite 🤔 if it wasn't for Xcloud gamestreaming or xbox remote play on my phone I would have bought it for my switch lite (i prefer indie retro games in handheld mode instead of my big 4khdr tv I'll leave the AAA games for that ) but I love your review and will give it my time and day.
Excellent review! Very professional. Pleasantly brief and to the point. Subscribed. Just heard about this upcoming hidden gem a few weeks ago. I was hoping this game would have depth with team combinations and skills. It sounds like it does. Awesome!
I played through a new playthrough with every major update in early access and never got bored. I'm looking forward to the full release and probably playing through multiple more times.
I'm not much into metroidvania's but this game is so phenomenal that i just had a really hard time putting it down. My only wish is for this game's pvp scene to be stronger. I was only able to get into 2 matches but since then, every time i tried to match make, i couldn't find a match.
this review is presented very much like a HR video some retail chain would force you to watch before starting a new job (e.g. the movie: Waiting HR video). that said, was kind of nice still, i’ll sub brother. interested in this monster sanctuary game out on switch now
I'm not the best team builder, although this game pretty much encourages you to try many different teams, and the team that got me through a lot of tough stuff (a chill debuff team) has died multiple time to one of the last fights in the game and I don't have a lot of motivation to keep going
I feel ya. I'm planning some team building videos for the different stages of the game and PvP. Hopefully they'll help! For now, maybe try a team using Draconoir and the blind mechanic. It's a pretty easy team to set up, and it's good for some late game battles!
This is the 3rd day I've been playing it (got it on sale for $7 something CAD on the EShop) and Holy crap! Very different from Pokèmon Legends Arceus and SMT V, but just as fun!
Hey man! Just stumbled upon your channel and really enjoy this review and your passion for the game! I had been following the development of this since before it came out and loved it for the look, feel and everything it encompasses. That being said, I didn't snag it on Switch when it came out but I just noticed it's on sale right now and am aiming to grab it! Also heard there's a physical possibly hitting Switch this year. Have you heard anything on that? Eager to check out the rest of your channel and see what else you have. Indies are the lifeblood bro!! Keep up the awesomeness!
It's 66% off on switch at $6.79 I'm trying to find a review that can convince me this game is worth it so I havent jumped on it yet. But the sale ends tomorrow.
Glad you enjoyed the review! I have over 100 hours on the game, though some of that has been with the game open and multi-tasking. After completing the game's story, you can still go through and explore any areas that you missed. You can also set out to acquire every monster as well as challenge the infinity arena. There are rumors of a "New Game Plus" being added to the game at some point, but this definitely won't be present at launch.
I'm a full blown indie fan now since hollow knight....I bout the game digital and physical release just to give the company more money 15$ seemed like stealing as big and good as hollowknight is then my first physical was stolen so then bought a special edition copy and the real reason I'm posting is you said things the AAA companies don't offer ....they do the just just want more money on top of a 60 purchase I used to play destiny 1 and 2 for hours a day and then Activision left and now want money for everything now so it has pushed me away I play deadcells alot hollowknight binding of Issac mostly indies on my switch
Was a good video -- I just bought the game because of you while I have been waiting on the sidelines, but unfortunately you need to change your branding pretty significantly if you want more subs. Unfortunately, a name like Grand Duke isn't the best with white supremacy shit going on. Idk, I think appearances matter to an artificial level in the day and age (which we have pretty good reasons to atm, sadly). With your name you are potentially causing unnecessary friction. Also, if you can try to get a green screen or something behind you. The room takes away from you. Also, same thing applies to the t-shirt. The collar looked stretched, so ideally try to wear something little more on a date with someone kind of. Idk, might help imo.
Not really feeling it about an hour in. I find the music very mediocre, nothing that will awe you. The monsters are, pretty stereotypical for fantasy type animals, but not in a fun way, just generic. They mostly feel like uninteresting Kirby enemies. Finally, there`s no player customization to get into and the story is,... nothing. It could use atleast some world building, very bare bones. Its not bad or anything but its two of my favorite types of games smoothed together just not done well.
What a solid "No bs" review. Seriously. The only thing I'll love more than this game was how straightforward you were with selling it. Thanks so much!

I love CoM it takes alot of practice but I was addicted for a long time
Spire destroys monster train
@@BeyWizard321 never even heard of this CoM honestly guess I need to look into it
How does this man only have 321 subs he deserves so much more recognition and fame
The combinations can get pretty crazy once shifting becomes available. to the point where choice paralysis is a guarantee.

Goodluck putting your switch down once you start.
How did it go? :D
@@NotControlledByMillipedes I beat the game months ago. Worth it 🤗🤗

Great review, I was drawn to this game, so I subscribed!
Even when I finished the game. I still watch these videos. And I'm looking forward to the official release
I'm really excited for the community to grow upon release, especially with the consoles getting a shot at it for the first time!

It’s out right now and I am personally loving it
I feel like I'm 7 years old playing pokemon red when I play this. The best.

Day one switch purchase for me!

Very helpful review! Good stuff bro 👌
Very Good Review, i think this game is amazing too, and the art!
Thanks for watching, and I agree. The art is pure excellence!

Just got it on the switch sale!
Huge difficultie spike at the keeper battles. Would be fine if some weren't required for the story to progress

After the main chsr and Will fight the Alchemists; thats when i knew i was truly hooked and the story was gonna be epic :3

A mediocre JRPG stitched onto a mediocre Metroidvania.
