I start off by going to pick up the Trespasser on Aridia, since, in my infinite wisdom, I forgot to do that. Then it's on to Eudora, a quick but highly enjoyable level. After this episode, I'll only be doing one level per video, as they keep getting longer. Next up, Nebula G34, the Blarg Tactical Station!

Heroscape - My Top 10 Favorite Units
Просмотров 3,8 тыс.4 года назад
In this video, I discuss my Top 10 favorite units in the official releases of Heroscape. The tiers shown are in reference to the rest of the units in the game, and the tiers use a scale of F to A (though neither of these rankings applies to my selected units). This is a list of my favorite units, not necessarily the best units to use every game, so keep that in mind. Below are the links mention...
wolf felt bad at first, but he got some party crit boosts and would be excellent if you had lion, didn't like him much at first but he might be great if you got a better damage dealer, think i don't like bleed and chill much, some monsters can make chill feel powerful though. lion does so much damage once you get some crit and buffs going. he'd work really well with wolf, think there are some nice beast auras as well. i didn't really like bird much toad made stuff feel really easy, but my all aquatic team struggle against the wind or lightning element game or traveling and redoing the world map puzzles gets a bit annoying once you've played through it a bunch of times, but i feel like i barely tried the monsters
Huge difficultie spike at the keeper battles. Would be fine if some weren't required for the story to progress
Thanks for mentioning Ice Blob
A mediocre JRPG stitched onto a mediocre Metroidvania. I just finished the Stronghold Dungeon and I'm so bored I can't go any further.
i like the spectral eagle for its beam attack, and if i have some huge damage i can kill my foes with only one beam
My top monster right now has to be Nautilid. Equip it with a medallion, use a buff, and nothing on your side is dying. It also will apply a lot of debuffs while supporting, especially if you dark shift it.
Toad is the absolute best with that "buff your team/debuff your enemies at the same time" mechanic, its just way too cool and OP. They other 3 are good DPS and they are great for mid/late game team synergies like bleed, charg, age, etc. Amazing game, I beat it 4 times and beat it as well in the NG+ game modes! (Platinum is super ez to get btw)
I have a team of only goblins that carried me through the whole game. It's just one warlock, an archer and a normal gob. Gob is the shielder, warlock heals and debuffs, and archer is the main dps.
Great video! Thanks
For me the eagle and king slime is the top for me
It seems like you get alternatives for them early in the game. The toad is sinilar to the blob, the lion is sinilar to the cat with a sword. Not aure about the others. Maybe they don't apply.
Vampires and Elves are both great squads.
I got this game recently. I picked the Eagle. Loving the game so far.
I wish i could figure out how to play on tabletop simulator
Which tree do I start investing in with the lion?
Blue loser, orange loser, green tanky overpowered god, red loser
I like vodyanoi. . .very high attack power and counterattacks whenever it gets hit
my favorite monster is monk very stronk
I have to give my favorite slots to the team I went through most of the second half of the game with: Dark Mad Eye, Dark Ice Blob, and Light Druid Oak. Mad Eye spread debuffs and pumped up the damage over time with Age counters, and removed buffs from enemies all while hitting super effective damage to the whole enemy team. Ice Blob shielded the team and applied stacks on stacks of Chill for Congeal damage and made sure Barrier was getting applied early. Druid Oak was able to apply 3 stacks of Regen and buff the entire party every turn while healing them, then taking pot shots with Age-boosted stats on safe turns. The team only got stronger every turn, so all I had to do was survive a few rounds and it was all over. Most fights ended with all opponents suffering from every debuff, my whole team having every buff, no casualties, and full health.
try fungi with abyssal sword, thunder sphere, poisoned dart and thermal reactor….its pure madness, even hitting around 30-40 times and preparing for huge combo metres, where his best friend troll hits easily for 20k. this together with grulu is insane. one of my favorite teams to win fast fights. other than that i love thornfish, hes part of all my stall teams, protecting his teammates and stacking tons of bleed and poison stacks.
My weakest is my 2 minatours
He's op
My best is a slime..
My all time favorite is aurumtail. It gave me a hard time to first get it and it’s been in my party all since then. Dracogran is pretty cool too
Next 5... King Slime, Krakaturtle, Sizzle Knight, Spinner and Specter
My top 5.... Shockhopper, Quilin, Targoat, Mad Lord and Gryphonix
Well done, game reviewer
So. What happened to this channel? 3 videos that exploded in popularity, then silence. Hope all is good.
Honestly, they all seem appealing, not so much the toad for me, but I'mma pick the Lion for my first playthrough just because I'm a Leo.
I'm not much into metroidvania's but this game is so phenomenal that i just had a really hard time putting it down. My only wish is for this game's pvp scene to be stronger. I was only able to get into 2 matches but since then, every time i tried to match make, i couldn't find a match.
I recently started playing, I have always liked grass starters from Pokemon so I of course picked the toad right off the get go and I don't regret it at all. Your tip of pairing him with glass cannon monsters definitely can work but I highly recommend pairing him with more heavy debuff monsters and just bury the enemy in them using the toad's insane survivability and healing to just tank through everything. At level 20 he gets stupid good when you get warlock heal, bolster, and buffing heal. A good early 3 man is toad, fungi, and ice blob to stack poison and chill with congeal this will melt pretty much everything the early game throws at you.
In my current save file of the game, my go to team has been two Light Shifted Targoats and the final spot can be almost anything. Dark Shift Prof-whatever that Frankenstien thing from the Underworld is for hitting all enemies or Dark Shifted Gryphonix for single target.
Got this game a couple days ago thanks to the Steam sale. At first I thought it was a bit cheap looking. I thought every skill having multiple hits was some way of making it look cooler, thought the monsters would be copy paste lackluster stuff. But damn this game actually has good difficulty, good incentive to hunt, lots of customisation options. I'm really impressed!
Good picks!
Is your wolf a Howling Wolf or does the name come from somewhere else?
As someone who has played 2 of these extensively, I think it's fair to say how they are typically used. While the Toad can dps with poison, it's preferred role is a healer and offensive buffer. Granting Full offense to the DPS and healing allies are its main play patterns, and his light shift helps him create charge synergy with monsters like Targoat and Blade Widow, just as some examples. The Toad is likely the strongest starter out of the 4, probably being one of the best healers/offensive buffers in the game. He's kind of worth taking because waiting for someone like Thanatos instead can be a really, really long wait. I'd give him a 10/10 The Eagle is a dps that is pretty good for general purpose combat, but does fall short when taking out bosses. It is pretty frail, so you need to combine it with buffers, like Targoat, Frosty, Magmapillar, etc. Really needs familiar accessory to get back some of that competitive edge because dps's like Mimic, Blade Widow, Manticorb and others start to out-perform it against bosses. Also works well in charge teams, but is easily replaceable with other monsters. I'd give him a 8/10. From what a hear in the community, the Lion is about as good as the Eagle, and the Wolf is the weakest out of the 4 starters. Take that for what its worth.
Yeah, I agree. Slay the Spire, Monster Train and Monster Sanctuary are like my 3 favourite indie games ever. Children of Morta is probably my 4th, although I really suck at it.
Slay the spire has been my top one, Haded was up there as high for me. And now as someone who only just recently got the game cuz I heard about it from the new free expansion, this is also up there. I've thought about trying Monster Train so many times just never did, kept feeling like it'd just be a little bit worse StSpire experience for me lol
I love CoM it takes alot of practice but I was addicted for a long time
Spire destroys monster train
@@Bestial_Trigger93 never even heard of this CoM honestly guess I need to look into it
I just wish I roll one shield with Crixus
God this game is SO UNDERRATED, JEEZ.
This is the 3rd day I've been playing it (got it on sale for $7 something CAD on the EShop) and Holy crap! Very different from Pokèmon Legends Arceus and SMT V, but just as fun!
Monster sanctuary.... Great game? Or greatest game?
Tanuki is my favorite so far and I'm sad to see it beginning to fall behind a bit (I'm mainly using for the crit chance increase on my monk.) Full offense 3 on my frosty gives glory so I doubt it'll find a niche spot on my team soon but who knows?
:>
I'm just about getting to the Underworld and I'm loving a monster I never really thought I'd like - Kongamato. Dark shifted, with a Moon Sword & Poisoned Dart and the rest on crits he becomes such a monster. Am also loving Dark Mad Eye, the attacking to build shield is such a great combo starter & I heard my little eye has an evolution, so I'm quite excited :D
It’s a year later, did you ever finish the game? What do you think on the ‘evolution’ as by chance I don’t want to spoil it, even if it’s a year later lol
@@komiismywaifu7616 Ahhh you mean Mad Eye's? Yeah - I wasn't a HUGE fan because Mad Eye fit my team comp better (Mad Eye itself was better at applying status, if I remember correctly). Although, it's evolution is COOL as shit lol
@@25Dzone yea it’s not as useful but it does look extremely cool lol.
I have used blob, powie, +1 for the entire game. The heals, shields, and damage over time eventually kill anything I've faced. Even some teams several levels higher.
Blob is too good for a literal blob
I like wolves too
Thanks for the quality vids man. Just subscribed after your review of this, I bought it today and haven't had time to play yet. Keep up the good work ☺️
5:05 Subscribe. So I subscribed. Nice review. I am playing it on xbox because of gamepass, but d*amn, I really want to buy it for my Switch.
It's 66% off on switch at $6.79 I'm trying to find a review that can convince me this game is worth it so I havent jumped on it yet. But the sale ends tomorrow.
@@InnerRise No worries. I have bought it on Christmas :)
This gives me more insight on which monsters I can use. Currently using Frosty, Steam Golem, Specter and Glowdra. Looking into some physical attackers right now because I am not sure which ones to pick. XD
I do not care what anyone says Tanuki is the best monster in the game
