Great instruction, Barry! I'm starting my film making life with a Panasonic dvx 200. Now I'm looking for a second camera. Do I need another dvx 200 to avoid problems in post production? I love my 200. Thanks to you, I have learned so much in little time.
very good and worthfull information but the demo's (5:07 etc) might be longer and the diff. more explaned. (I can see it hardley 😒) plaese explane more the confussion 29.97, 23,98 etc. and i or p and the Pal (europe) And is it true that filming in UHD give the posibility to zoom in in post without q.loss? Thanks!
Thanks for the video, i bought recently a panasonic ag ux90 and there is no option to record 29frames or 30 in 4k just 24, is there an option where i can access that
The current Panasonic links to the e-book take you to a useless Panasonic page, as they've changed the links. A link on another site that I used, is no longer working either. Sadly, you'll have to Google to find a URL that has the book. You could also try calling Panasonic support and get a human to give you the (new) link.
Thanks for the video !! I own a panasonic HC-X1 on the last event that i recorded was in 4k and the video is awful. In normal light is bad and in low light gain 6 is unusable. why is that ?
I have a similar problem. Black and dark colors are terribly noisy! Low quality. With my panasonic hc-vx 878 I am ahead in picture quality !!! It's incredible to me that a $ 400 camera produces better quality than a $ 2500 camera ...
@@7912314335 i called Panasonic to see maybe the sensor was faulty and overheating as I have seen some test video with the camera with 24Db and it was just a little bit nosy. They asked me for video on auto and with my settings "on auto was even worst " They said that is no issue with my camera is perfectly fine. It's trash !! Very disappointed !! They don't give a fuck
Great video! but for me as a non-pro HC-X1 owner, I'm still not convinced what the best mode is the use for my specific project. I film documentary movies, mostly in the forst, small objects like lizards, frogs, etc...so I'm not really sure what to use, and what setting offer the most advantages. Is 4K 24P 100M better than UHD 50P 150M ?
Hi Rik I would go with UHD 50P 150M the higher the bitrate more information is storing you get better quality in moving objects and you can slow down the clip in post. That is my opinion. I own a panasonic hc-x1 and i use it for events when recording in low light 4k gain 6 i get awful video did you had the same issue ? in full hd is a little bit better
is it not possible to take a still picture with the UX180? Please don't tell me the only way is through taking a screenshot of a video in playback mode...
Clear, concise, to the point. Thanks

Hi there, would there be a workable link to the e-book? Current link gives a 404 error. Cheers.

My UX90 is probably PAL version. Where can I find a 23
98 format in menu?
