I'm not sure I would want a black camper down here in Florida. Thankfully I'll never be able to afford it so don't need to worry about making that decision 😂
Cougar is stepping up! Looks great! Would look even better if the sides were smoother that would really set off the paint. Don't like the dual bathroom sinks or the bathroom floor vent. But looking to update sometime in the next couple years and this would get itself on the list!
As always, love the hilarious side comments. This rig reminds me of our '22 GD 303RLS, which I ABSOLUTELY LOVE! I lived in the rig full time during the summer of '22 in the employee RV park as I worked for one of our magnificent national parks. One of the best experiences ever!
Had to watch Uncle Josh. We have a 21 316RLS and love it. This looks familiar and different. Some great upgrades, love the ceiling fan. I'm 6'4" and there's plenty of room in the bathroom. We like the dual sinks. Would love to have ABS brakes. I love InCommand and use it from my phone ALOT. It's a great unit and we've used it coast to coast.
My little criticisms aside..I really like this rig! Slightly bigger than we’re considering and a little higher price point but if I come into some $$ this one is top on my list!
Saw this floor plan in black but it had a booth. I think the table and chairs work better. The grey and the black both rock but the grey is better looking. I do wish they would get rid of the floor vents. That's the only drawback for me.
The second sink close to,toilet seems kinda useless, but might be nicer to have one of those counter cutouts (like in kitchens) to cover it for those who don’t want the second sink but can be removed for those who want to use that sink.
Cool looking...questions, do they use Thermafoil? Do they use MDF? Do they use Accu-slide cable driven slides? How's the plumbing...are they using the proper fittings for flex tubing, etc? Looks like the fit and finish done pretty well.
I prefer the booths. Was amazed the angle that tv could stretch to! Is there an option for cabinet/counter top color? Big fan of pocket doors. Would prefer one sink in the bathroom. Then you'll have a better use of vanity space. Would prefer a Queen size bed. King looks a bit crammed in there. Never saw a hanging rack in a closet before. Interesting. Appreciate you showing the slides in. From one nerd to another-- I like the outside fantom grey color too! Thanks for giving us a view of this one.
You help me make decission on what type of trailer to get. They all have plus and minus. Its what minus you can live with. We have destination trailer N.W. Ohio up on Portage River Lake Erie. Listen to your videos sll the time. Thanks for education. Phil The Destination Dude.
Love that full body paint . But that black will be come a big hot box. Do you have any idea how the black paint will affect the cooling? Love that huge kitchen. The hug door side windows. I don’t know if I would get that black paint. It there more paint options? Love the videos!
It's a nice looking trailer! It would look great with our truck! While I'm happy more RV manufacturers are putting seats in showers now (as someone who often needs to sit while showering it's helpful & then I wouldn't have to bring my shower stool) but could they stop putting shelves over the seat?! It kinda defeats the purpose of the seat! I swear I'd be knocking every bottle down when I'd be washing my hair! 😂😂 🤦🏻♀️
Keystone did a nice job on this one and half the price of a Brinkley or more. Not crazy about the cheesy string shades in the bedroom though. Makes it look cheap.
Table an chairs better for more options. U stlll. Kicking it Josh. Great video's best of best. An my best regards to you a the Haylette Family you help greatly through lock down gonna visit a bish dealership in .va. soon. 😊 sorry abou bad spelling lol
Two sinks in an RV bathroom is a waste of space and just tells you that the designer is ignoring reality - when are you ever going to stand side by side in the bathroom with your partner and used both sinks at the same time? Whereas with a single sink you can have more countertop AND a better drawer stack - with the toilet position open storage would make sense to that side of the bathroom cabinet
I REALLY like this one! It's a shame that the bathroom has the dollar store fart fan and it looks like the bedroom doesn't have roller shades (I'm guessing it doesn't since the windows had strings on each side).
Unfortunately this camper only really has a painted exterior when compared to other unites. Floor plan common, equipment common, everything is just kind of similar. The ONLY thing I think that makes cougar better than the others is that they’re 0-99 rated w tank heaters etc. Everything else isn’t really worth mentioning.
Curious why they just can’t get away from the vents in the floor? I’m sure there’s some logical design reason , but for a rig in an upper price point can’t they change that?
Hey Josh, I have been watching a bunch of your videos. Me and the wife are starting to consider getting back into another trailer again. I was curious if there is such thing as a travel trailer that's 25-31ft that has all the nice stuff of for example a Cougar but with the amenities of a toy hauler such as large black, grey, and fresh tanks, generator or atleast a generator prep, gas electric fridge, and and a really good cargo capacity also a good solar setup. Preferably something that isn't a bunk house? So far the only bunk house that we are open to is the 30bhs from cougar or transcend also makes a identical bhs but that's a stick n tin. We would be doing alot of long hauls so Preferably a fiberglass trailer. Reason I'm asking for something with "toyhauler amenities" is because we want to beable to dry camp without having to be frugal with power and water usage or loading the trailer with all our stuff if it came down to it.
Common travel trailers in that size almost never have allowances for on board generators due to how much space they demand. Northwood / ORV would be the answers here but they’re regional to the west
*ROOF:* Their membrane is called Alpha Super Flex. It has its own lifetime warranty. *BUT* important to understand "Lifetime roof warranty" applies only to the SKIN of the roof and not the full construction. Those "lifetime" roof warranties also prorate really _really_ hard *WATER VALVES:* They do not include that Alliance-style cutoff for each valve
@@JoshtheRVNerd Cool and thanks for replying. I like the Alliance Valor but due to frame failure issues (not sure with Valor) we’re thinking about downsizing to a midsize 5th wheel. My wife and I are snow birds and we live in our current 5th wheel about 5-6 months a year. We like the Alliance features with the PVC roof, 25 year floor warranty, solar setup, water pipe manifold, etc…
I've spoken with the folks at Alliance. They haven't seen a lot of frame issues (some certainly but not a lot). They seem to be taking care of folks as well 25 year floor warranty is prorated pretty hard like that roof warranty. I'm not trying to be difficult but rather help you understand what it means and what it doesn't
I love the colour of this paintwork, and decor throughout is really nice. It’s great that they’ve got enough comfy seating for more than 2. I’d be torn between the booth (for extra sleeping) or table and chairs for desk function. I love that the kitchen is so well appointed, and there’s pretty good storage in the kitchen and bedroom. I’d prefer one sink and more counter space in the bathroom but that’s not really a deal breaker. I really like that the shower is a good size! That shelf above the bed is not appropriate for a cpap machine at all, I’m with you on the phone charging spot. Great that they have washer and dryer prep. The floor vents are still something I’m not so keen on, although I’ve seen people say they are new and better designed. It’s great that the kitchen has outlets but I’m nervous of the towers being where they are, I’m a real spiller, I worry I’ll blow all the electrics! Pretty nice storage underneath the camper too. I bet you could do some overnight stealth camping in this!
Yes, the grey is very nice to look at. I like the layout and the bathroom looks like enough space to dry off after a shower without being on top of the toilet. The table and chairs looks classy. I think dinette would look low brow. Lol! I noticed the listing for this fifth wheel didn't have a price. I Thank you for showing this awesome fifth wheel. You always do great entertaining videos. Keep up the great work! 👍 ❤
Exterior paint is the last thing that has ever mattered to me🫤but awesome residential floorplans like this without a “1950’s diner” booth dinette definitely does👍but a cheap Dollar Store 4” fart fan in a $100,000 MSRP RV is beyond disappointing😩
I really like this but the exterior color for me is a turn off. Why build a near black 5th wheel exterior which will only create higher temps in the sun.
Cougar is stepping up, trying to keep Brinkley off their back!!! Beautiful!
Cougar still the top volume FW maker out there!
If I get new it would Brinkley or Keystone depending how rich I was.
The quality difference is night and day. Brinkley any day over anything in Keystones portfolio.
After watching this video a dozen times and lots of research I I'm on night 3 living in my phantom grey 316 thanks for the great video!!

That’s great feedback Ty!!
You are correct about the CPAP. Not a good idea for it to be over head level.
Yes, when the CPAP falls which it will eventually and if you have a humidifier attached, its like waterboarding yourself.
Ty for letting me know
My little criticisms aside..I really like this rig! Slightly bigger than we’re considering and a little higher price point but if I come into some $$ this one is top on my list!
This RV is Phenomenal!!
😊
Slidetoppers should be standard.
It's very sharp. What bothers me is the cargo capacity with all the storage it would be super easy to over, load.
Possibly. I could see it happening

The gray is a good looking one !!!
It’s my preference as well
Now that is really nice! Need someone to make this kind of style in toy haulers so we don’t have to spend 150k to get this aesthetic.

Looks cool but sun and black aren't cool 😮
That’s why their paint package also forces some of the other features

Floor vents are vastly more effective at actually heating the rv which ventless brands fail to mention
Does it have BAL accu cable slides?
