Sending love and prayer for that young man to have a quickened journey to heal from his trauma surrounding identity and receiving love. He's probably never been loved for who he is or told that his existence is acceptable. In two quintessential areas of his life, relationships and work, he seems to want to both escape and hide which is common for people told this from a young age. The closet even for people who aren't LGBTQ+ is where we all hide in the beginning, while we paint the front door to appease others and receive attention- not true love- especially when we are young and fed the message that we cannot be or express who we truly are. It perpetuates so much unnecessary suffering- and we only become aware of our suffering through being alone and gathering tools from professionals like therapists and counseling. Karamo was spot on with this one.
And as far as the woman, she will be okay. She likewise has to heal from past trauma probably having to do with her father and boundaries. Like all of us strong women do, taking back our power by not playing the "forgiveness" and "he'll change" record in our minds, she'll develop stronger boundaries and therefore stronger confidence, and won't even attract this kind of man anymore.
