When I came out as bisexual, the LGBT community literally showed so much prejudice against me. I was so shocked. I thought I would be met with a warm embrace but the first woman I fell in love with kept calling me straight, was insecure about me having attraction to men YET, it’s literally a spectrum. I’m way more attracted women than men. The woman I was in love with even made me feel bad for wanting to experience a strap for the first time.

I hate how prejudiced specifically the lesbian community can be towards bi women and what others choose to do in the bedroom. I'm a masculine woman and but emotionally I'm very feminine, bc I'm still a woman and don't minimize that. I've been told I'm not masculine enough and been ridiculed as if a woman is supposed to be damn near a man just bc of the clothes I wear. The insecurities show and I am happy to say that even though my ex cheated on me numerous times with a man and is also currently pregnant by him, I don't punish the new women for her transgressions. I applaud you for being you and being bisexual and I urge you to stand tall and don't listen to the bigotry of the community. Hopefully one day they will be more open minded and welcoming especially since we all have walked in rooms where we have felt uncomfortable and unwelcome bc of our sexuality, you would think they would be more understanding and accepting of those on this path as well

There's alot of biphobia in the comments. We have to understand that not all bisexual people are the same. There's a spectrum of bisexuality meaning you have women who are more attracted to women or more attracted to men. From personal experience. Girls who are "only gay for you", Bi-curious, straight, should never be on the list of who you should date. I was with a girl who claimed she was bisexual but guess what...I found out midway in our "relationship" that she was never serious and was still with her man. When I confronted her about it, it didn't even faze her about what she put me and him through. They know what they're doing and they don't give a fk about you. Came out 15. I was so stressed. My hair was falling out my head. I never had anyone to confide in. My parents turned off from me emotionally so we couldn’t share details about my first heartbreak cuz she didn’t want to hear it. Gay / straight / bisexual, anyone would want a stable relationship with transparency. This bisexual topic is reoccurring. I’ve dated many bisexual women and I can tell you from my experience it has nothing to do with her liking men. It’s a maturity. Many bisexual women would try to make me compete for there affection against men. I wouldn’t do compete against anybody and especially not a man who most likely views as a sexual conquest . It’s no point. On the opposite end there were bisexual women that were cool af up front about their attraction to men and now serious they were about dating in general. Basic respect. Learned this lesson when I was late teens early 20s…dated a few “bisexual” straight girls and got cheated on and left for men by all 3 of them. After that I said no more “bisexual” straight girls and no more bisexual girls period. I know not all bisexual people are like this, but I’d rather not take that chance.
Lately I have been questioning my sexuality. I recently told my mom and sister what’s been on my mind. I am sexually attracted to women. I recently went through a shift in my life where I have the tools to be emotionally available to my family. I think I can be romantic with women. However, I have mom issues (that I have really fixed lately) and issues with my sister, and pretty much every women that’s been in my life. I do not have girl friends, the last time I had this was freshman year of hs. So, females scare me, really.
The past three years I have been celibate because men used me when I didn’t have boundaries. I like men, I want to marry a man, lately all I think about is marriage right but maybe because I have reframed for so long I have tricked myself into the possibility that I can like women more. I just suggested that that’s not true though. I hate to use the word ‘curious’ if women didn’t intimidate me so muchh I wouldn’t feel compelled to think that’s what I am. I haven’t been with women sexually. I have kissed girls but it was straight kissing except for this one girl. I was under the influence but I caught a vibe and I asked our friend if what I experienced actually happened knowing this girl I just met was pansexual I starting crushing hard. Ever sense those feelings for her I wonder if more are like her that can make me feel my gut clinch. I want to flirt and be affectionate and talk, I want all these cute things with women and especially sex. Lately I have been keeping my eyes peeled out in public. Seriously people need to start wearing bracelets, tags or rep pride more lol anyway as someone who’s not experienced with women but think she can fuck it up in bed, this make me all the more curious and open to a romantic relationship. Call me sad because I’m sad I haven’t experienced what lesbians are giving and receiving. Dating a male is like on the constant verge of my life being blown up or losing my composure. There's no "bisexual straight girls", being bi means you are attracted to males and females and you are in the mood for which ever you are in the mood for, the fact that they chose men doesn't make them any less bi, if we bi women date a lesbian, we're still BISEXUAL.
