Don't sweat it if you forget or don't have a bank account. One of the very first things they do in boot camp is give everyone the option of signing up for a Navy Federal Credit Union account. Thievery is one of the lowest forms of petty crimes, it really makes an honest person uneasy. Lol, I didn't have any of this shit when I went to boot camp, I think I just had my birth cert and a whatever was in my pockets and that's it... Definitely a great idea to record all the contact info cause you're gonna need that stuff to invite people to graduation.
You can show up with almost nothing and be alright but if you don't have any bank info, contact info, documents, a pocket Bible, etc as mentioned it makes things...more difficult?
You are allowed personal lititure too, just has to fit in box. I had my wife send a couple trial of apollo books and read them on holiday routine. Also your allowed a normal wrist watch (not smart) and a wedding band. Watch is really useful for watch standing.
Hm, no idea how those got smuggled in. We weren't allowed to read anything except the recruit guide and the bluejacket manual. The RDCs are supposed to open every box and take out anything not allowed, so how you got personal books in is weird.
@@HaedenBeck my rdcs were more relaxed too tbf. From what I recall it was rdc discretion but was allowed. They opened the packages and approved them. Hi, I’m a woman in her 20s and I’m training to become a U.S. Navy SEAL. What advice would you give for women that want to be SEALs? If you had to go to BUD/S again, how would you prepare differently? What books or workout programs would you recommend? Most female SEAL candidates struggle with carrying the boats and logs, doing pull ups, having grip strength and completing the “Dirty Name” on the obstacle course. Also, a lot of female SEAL candidates break their legs or develop stress fractures. A woman made it to day 4 of BUD/S first phase recently but she quit on that day. That’s the farthest a woman has made it. Her BUD/S classmates told me that her class hated her and ran her out from under the boat because she was a boat ducker. Nine women have entered the SEAL pipeline since 2016.
I've never been to BUD/S, I'll never go there. I'd never make it, and most men can't make it either. If you're the first woman to make it, your name will be in history books. Wish you the best.

I going this August, I live by myself, do I need to keep the apartment also have a car please I have no clue do I have to get red of everything before I go or should I keep everything and have no family here please I don't know what to do are they gonna give me a place where to live after A school?
I got rid of everything, but kept essential things like photo albums and put them with friends and family. If you're leaving your current life entirely, yeah you can just get rid of everything. The navy will always provide housing. Usually a barracks room, but once you get promoted to E5 you can get money to live off base.
I'm Enlisted as an E3 so after bootcamp and A school, they will provide housing even in the base that's fine I don't wanna keep paying for an apartment that I'm not sure if I have to come back for it other than that I can get red of my car and keep just the important things that I could give to a friend to keep for me, also wanna inform my landlord That I'm leaving is that what should do? And thank u so much for responding my comment
I go for Meps in the Morning! So excited! Great video! Outta curiosity do they let you make phone payments every month in Boot camp so you don’t lose your number?
Mine was automatically paid with autopay so I didn't have to worry about it. Maybe either get that or have family handle it? No, we didn't have designated times to pay our bills or handle stuff at home.
What do you mean pack for bootcamp. They make you put everything on your person in a box including your clothes in the first 20 minutes of getting off the bus? Unless somethings changed in 6 years since I went to bootcamp I would pack nothing
You might find your answers by watching it, but you can take a lot of stuff inside with you and have other stuff ready for graduation liberty and A school
i graduated from rtc on september 19th and they let us use our phones to call our folks but it gets collected right after and they are only given out for phone calls
Trouble has finish so lets begin for me if im feeling single a new chapter to begin and my ex wife can have her good husband back J rei , Argentina good actress.
Curious I’m 41 now I know the military is 41 once enlisted and if you go in as a reserve it’s 42. I guess apparently they made some changes. Now I my case what is the weight requirement because I’ve been seeing army fat camp on RUclips? O I’m in Corpus Christi, Texas
Yeah if you can't pass the physical standards you'll be held back in training. They might put you on an exercise bike or just send you home. In the fleet you end up in "fat camp" which the navy calls FEP. It's basically mandatory PT. The navy is gonna measure your waist to see if it's good, they don't just go by weight because someone can be 215 pounds of muscle and someone else can be 215 pounds of fat and have a giant belly.
There is a chance at a possible waiver, as with other things, but it's probably not likely. I actually just let that inhaler comment slip out if you want to know the truth.
If you show up to boot camp heavy, you'll probably be allowed to train still but you'll wish they didn't let you. Your life will not be rainbows and unicorns. Everything will be more difficult and you might get sent back in training because you fail fitness events, which means you lose all your friends, your enlistment bonus, and you have to stay in boot camp longer. Stay in the best shape you can! If you can't run a mile and a half or do 50 pushups, keep exercising until you can before you go. Boot camp will not get you in shape, only test what you brought to the table.
You have to make weight or body fat before you ship, or you will not be leaving on your ship date. If you have gained weight, get at it to be back to where you were when you joined or below to avoid any issues. Don't give meps the power to keep you from achieving your goals. Good luck.
Please answer this. My manager at my job told me that if I join the navy. The RDCS will try to beat you near death to see if you’re tough. Is that true.

Indeed, that policy was implemented shortly after this video was posted.
i leave foe RTC in 5 days this vid helps a lot thanks
Sure
I ship out Aug. 6th, i appreciate this information.
Anytime!
I would suggest opening an account with Navy federal credit union or USAA credit union
Heading to meps Monday and Tuesday 💯
Good luck, remember to read the whole contract!
Hey! Master at arms is what im seriously considering.
It's a good job, but what's best for you can only be decided by you. I can answer questions for my rating if you have any.
In 1978 only one phone to home, we had white canvas sneakers no support
I go for Meps in the Morning! So excited! Great video! Outta curiosity do they let you make phone payments every month in Boot camp so you don’t lose your number?
Mine was automatically paid with autopay so I didn't have to worry about it. Maybe either get that or have family handle it? No, we didn't have designated times to pay our bills or handle stuff at home.
I leave in 18 days. Thank you for the info
No problem!
Who's going May 7th ✋️

How many times a day are you required to listen to the Village People's hit song "in the Navy" 🎶???
I started to sing it once and they told me to shut up if that counts
@HaedenBeck 😂 oh geez. It's actually a pretty good recruiting tool. Have you met any SEALs?
@@Sub-Zero-392 Yes I've met SEALs and EOD. They're incredible people.
@@HaedenBeck the best people! But without the most powerful Navy in the world we would be exterminated so thank you for your service.

For bahrain charlie section yeah, used to be.
June 3rd is my ship date, it’s comin up so soon. Wish me luck y’all 🫡

Leaving for boot camp on November 27🎉
Good luck!
Tomorrow I have my PICAT test.
How did that go I asked my recruiter about it he said I'd have to wait till meps
Good evening, My name is Max Gonzalez. I signed a formal saying I can retake the Asvab inside Boot Camp. Can we bring an Asvab book? Or negative?
Why do you need to retake it in boot camp?
Beck I have to ask , what are you wearing?
Tenpenny's suit from Fallout 3.
@HaedenBeck ok thanks.
@@HaedenBeck By the way just wanna say thank you for your service? I'm enjoying your videos. I'm learning a lot.
Wait, did you just say bring your inhaler if you have ASTHMA? I had to rewind that about 3 times to confirm. Isn't that an automatic disqualification
There is a chance at a possible waiver, as with other things, but it's probably not likely. I actually just let that inhaler comment slip out if you want to know the truth.
If you score high enough on the ASVAB, your recruiter will find a way to waiver your asthmatic ass to boot camp.
I was told it was an automatic disqualification. I had bronchitis as a child, but fortunately I didn't need an inhaler so I've passed the physical
Don't forget to check the other videos on this channel especially the one about setting up direct deposit and spending money at RTC.
Can I bring nasal spray to boot camp. Because my nasal sometimes is clogged that make me hard to breathe.
Is the medical part at bootcamp the same thing at Meps ? Or is it just getting shots administered?
They give you shots, there's dental care done, hearing tests, a few other things. It's not just meps again, no.
June 25 is my ship day. MA here also.
I ship June 25 as well
Leaving July 2nd 🎉
Hey! Since I have my hearing test waived at MEPs, do they have that information at RTC lakes? 😅
yes
Do they give you plane tickets
The navy will pay to fly you out, yes. For me, I was so close to RTC they just threw me and another guy into a van and drove us there.
Do you know what happens if you make weight at meps and get overweight while in the dep program?
Good luck.
Can I still use my bank card even if I choose to go the Navy Federal route? I ship out on Dec 10th😅
I used my regular debit card during boot camp. The eagle card is mostly for if you have nothing else.
Please answer this. My manager at my job told me that if I join the navy. The RDCS will try to beat you near death to see if you’re tough. Is that true.
LOL nah they won't lay a finger on you, but there will be a lot of exercising.
Hi! I dont know if I missed it or not but is deodorant allowed to bring in to bootcamp?
Bring a brand new travel sized one, otherwise you can buy one inside RTC.
Do you think the Clifton 9 Oat Milk shoes are in good taste?
Y’all I leave tmmr 😩
Same
I'm a little late but you'll see this later hopefully. Hope it went well!
I only took the clothes I was wearing, my orders and an ID. I did just fine😂😂😂😂
cool
