Thank you. Before foam, we didn't arrange in shapes, it was the invention of foam that gave way to defined outlines and shapes. Using just vases rarely gives you a satisfying outline shape, because there is no way of creating a horizontal line.
Can you give me any ideas for using vintage ale bottles, They range from 8 to 12 inches tall but the neck has an opening the size of a gallon jug, The reception is in a 200 year old vintage inn. Tables will be different sizes, Is there a foam base that has way to anchor into the jars,
It would be too tall . I was hoping they made a tray on a post. I was experimenting with using a candle holder hot glued to a tray but hard to balance.
Hi Sharon. I once used some really pretty kid's Wellington boots as my containers for a Spring breakfast arrangement. I really battled with the design. It looked like I had just shoved the flowers in. Which style design would work best in the boots?
You often get problems with actual balance with Wellington boots as the boot itself is flimsy so it becomes unstable. I would use the vertical line style so the weight is evenly over the boot. You could added some sand into the base of the boot to make it more stable. Hope that helps

@@sharondower I understand...I am just wondering on some of the styles and tips for making flowers in vases rather than foam...

Could you fill them with water and just add flower stems into the containers? Or sit them on a posy pad or wreath base?

It's hard to advise you without seeing the containers, sorry
