@@axolotl7486 Roux has the lowest move count and you don’t ever really need to rotate either. ZZ has the best ergonomics for its lack of rotations and not having to deal with spamming M and U moves. But CFOP has a more algorithmic approach like ZZ but it solves pieces at every step and is the best at reducing blind spots making CFOP have the best look ahead.

Then maybe 5-6 months back i learned chess and that’s been my main hobby I’d say, so with all that being said i haven’t had much progress cubing. I somewhat recently learn beginners roux method from Kian Monsiour tutorial playlist. If you have trouble finding that let me know and I’ll send you the link to it. It’s really tough to say I’m stuck now trying to decide what to do. I feel like the thousands of solves i have with the layer by layer beginners method has really equipped me to move onto cfop since i already have been knowing f2l for a long time, but i also like that roux is more intuitive and less alg based and also Tps matters less with roux. So on the one hand i like the idea of moving forward with roux but I’m just so comfortable with layer solving I’ll probably just have to learn cfop and build on my foundations rather than basically start from scratch tbh. Sorry if this wasn’t much help lol

I was in a similar situation a bit over a week ago where I was averaging about a minute with the beginner method, and it took me about a week to get comfortable enough with cfop that my times were pretty similar. I'm slowly bring my average down now, with a PB single of 39sec.
its kind of hard to tell when your solving fast. cfop and zz look the same when executing just f2l is built different and when solving cross you orient the edges on the top bottom front and back layers.
The last time I was this early Petrus was a viable speedcubing method.

ROUX is a free method without f2l, but ZZ & CFOP is pretty same with with f2l and same last layer orient.
with zz, if u wanna be serious, i think it is better to learn eocross eventually, but eoline is still better for oh
