I’m very happy to see Horizon get a direct competitor. I hope this fosters some decent improvement on both fronts
It’s like the game took Forza 5 and made it fun. It’s exactly what I was craving. A nice looking Arcadish racer that pushes boundaries and does quirky things, like the hot wheels track in the festival. It’s not too crazy and looks natural
THE CREW 3 MOTORFEST basically already took this very seriously.
Good way to explain it. Horizon 5 felt completely dead.

I've been playing TC, FH, and Test Drive (FH's inspiration) since all of their conceptions and recently Horizon just feels... off. It's like it just insults your intelligence all the time. The game itself is easy, cars and money are thrown at you, metas are everywhere, and the constant upbeat tone is nauseating at best. And that radio stays OFF for reasons I don't have to explain. TC feels and looks more serious about you driving and making the most of the (rather impressive) map and is much more polished than the last installment. And the handling model isn't that realistic, but it's fun. Split Second, NFS MW, and Dirt 3 aren't very realistic if at all but they feel amazing. FH is in a gray area and needs to go back to what it was: a Festival for Enthusiasts, not a glorified Cars and Coffee.
So the name is THE CREW... With no team battle, you can't make a crew...

There is a demolition derby team based battle royal that is amazing. More team modes in the future would be great
The isn’t even officially out yet unless you pre order and most people don’t do that so why would they rush all the features so soon
It's called The Crew because it's the game series and with The Crew 1 the initial idea was to drive with your own Crew in the USA, so they kept the name

the vivid graphic, physics and handling are amazing in Motorfest
The more I played the more it felt like a dlc expansion that had extra time making a bigger map, then I found out thats exactly what it was. You can definitely tell.
I agree with you with you but every game is doing the same nowadays but we keep buying it so why should they make it better.
THE CREW 3 MOTORFEST for me still a big fun tho.

Ive put in somewhere around 14-16 hours and im loving it.
Can you estimate how many hours of gameplay it takes to complete the different careers?

@gnikolaou21 if you're gonna no life it, it can take up to only an hour or so for a Playlist. But there's a lot of playlists, which of course is amazing

The thing I’ve hated with the crew is the constant you have to be here and participate everyday every week or else you miss out on cool cars you’ll never get ever again

@Phendranaguardianwhile i agree with you that this type of FOMO not my style since i've experienced it alot of times on TC2, and probably will experience it with motorfest even more. They're not gone 'forever'. Summits replay eventually, some have already been back a few times now on TC2. They even rebalenced the amount of people being able to get the cars across all platforms on the crew 2 so more people are able to get them. It's (almost) dead easy now.

@Phendranaguardianthing about those cars, they're just technically reskins. You might miss out on those special ones, but you still have access to em to buy in game. An more often then not people always make liveries of em, so you technically don't miss out on any of them lol.

It's forza horizon but all the yummy features i want in arcade racing like Nitro , More Vechile tier types , Nice progress system and Friendly UI
And also has 150 playlist. Wish there is Nijigasaki High School Idol Club x The Crew Motorfest Collab Playlist.
The graphics are nearly quite as good as Forza horizon 5's. That game is obviously the best.
Though I hope this is PS4 footage or just in the works still. Probs won't buy this game for awhile

Wasn't the main attraction of the crew games the massive map? If I wanted to play horizon I'd just play horizon.
Ah. Played the crew2 on my ps4 for a long time and honestly… it’s good. BUT: it’s missing something. I can’t tell you exactly what it is, maybe a story or some kind of interaction with the world, but it feels just so empty.
Hope the Motorfest will deliver something good again.

No real story, only playlists which are a collection of races/events following a certain theme. They are well done and interesting, but I wish more was done.

More specifically the story is a lot better/ progress. Its based on the history of cars and the island itself, the world doesnt feel bland and the sounds of the cars are so good. I recommend playing with all assists off, the handling feels more natural. Handling is nothing like the crew 2, large improvement
Honestly prefer the crew over forza since the crew actually has progression and I love the gameplay
Yeah I hate how in FH 5 you get supercars right off the bat and you never need to drive the slower cars again.
@@Whiterun_Gaurd technically you can do that too in the crew 2 but given how there's summits and pvp that require you to have built street cars etc you can't just ignore your lower cars because you won't be able to unlock the summit cars/vanities and also since you can do any event with any car there's no point in sticking to the hypercars since for some short tight courses the street cars are actually better since they don't overpower through the straights and crash in the corners

Test drive unlimited had a pretty good voice acting in the game
This is absolutely the best driving game made to date. The graphics are stunning. The control is spot on I use a wheel. The thing I really like is the AI drivers don't sneak up behind you and give you the pit maneuver. Spinning You out of control like my other racing games do. But I did turn voice's off. They were driving me nuts It was like listening to a babbling tweaker lol. Music too turned off I like hearing the car and the road effects without the music covering them up. Big tip for more realism Turn all driving aids off so you feel like you actually driving the car and not the computer.

Looks good but I'm not paying full price for this which in Canada is 89.99. I'll wait for a good discount because I feel like I wouldn't play this game for more than 30-40 hours top.

I'd like to see the customisation, and the racing ai and the damage model, those are the things that horizon lacked
Customization and ai is pretty good. Damage is nonexistent
@@garden0fstone736 yes there is car damage, but not as detailed. It's very similar to Tc2

@@andi8654only marginally more detailed. Burnout Paradise had miles above TC3 MOTORFEST in terms of overall damage model.

The only thing i dont like is that you cant use your own cars its just playlists that loan you cars so dont see the point in havin your own cars cuz you dont actualy use them unless your in free roam!

Forget about this game. Just wait for TDU Solar Crown. It's going to have much better physics suited for wheel and pedals.
I used my fanatec csl dd and it feels reaaly good but gotta get used to the drifting with it

Since recording this video, I have now turned off subtitles and all voice overs. They are SO annoying 😭
@@VintageMatthews I didn't turn the voices off, since, and I know I'm one of the few that does this, but I enjoy the voice acting, even if it's thr cringiest dialogue, but an AI voice? Come on ubi....

It's not 900° lock-to-lock, it's 540°.
i’ve got similar feelings to this vid but i wanna add some stuff. the voice acting is probably the worst part of this game, especially cara, they definitely need an option to turn that off. there’s also just not really any progression; you don’t drive your own cars for most of the game, and the lack of just general races where you can drive your own builds kinda sucks, you only really drive your own cars in freeroam and the grand races. the handling is pretty good but a lot of cars feel like they have snap oversteer and it’s extremely hard to correct the car once it starts sliding, once you start drifting you’re pretty much stuck there til you stop
What about the races after you finish a playlist? If you’re farming money, you can redo those. You’ll have the option to drive your own car (almost any of your owned car, regardless of the class) or stick with the loaner.
I wouldn’t say it’s lacking, it’s there. You just have to finish the playlists first.

@@_shuddie Yes. Once you finish the playlist, you can redo it with any car, along with customizing the weather and time of day. And i mean any car. For example, you can have monster trucks racing in the Made in Japan races. Or, if you’re crazy enough, have hypercars racing on the rally/dirt races.
I’m okay with how the xp progression currently works with the 3 timelines, then legend lvls afterwards. Just wish there were more rewards for leveling up
Updates will make this games longevity amazing. There’s so much potential

As an avid forza fan, always have been. The Crew beats Forza out of the water. Like damn, I never thought an open world raving sim could do this. BUT BOOM. Moterfest is where its at.
This game looks good, but they gotta do something about the rear view mirror it's 2023, that is a shame

The whole time playing this game all I can think is "damn this game would be so good with the Forza Horizon handling and physics" the game just feels so stiff. In saying that, the game definitely feels better than TC2

disappointed on the map. As someone who was born and raised on Oahu the streets aren't accurate and some of the neighborhoods are inacurate. They coulda done better!

It looks and is so casual. The atmosphere of some races are meh. Would be nice to get a Drive Club open world game - something geared more for the enthusiast with depth, but still have that arcade touch.
Imagine a Open World Game, that looks like Drive Club, with Multiplayer.
Just wait for test drive unlimited solar crown, that game will shit all over this game. Next gen only as well, about time games were stopped being made for last gen as it's holding back the capabilities of current gen so so much.

Love this game but I wish they fix the screen tearing and the frame rate for fidelity mode. At least on the series x it’s horrible haven’t tried it on PS5 yet

Every race I have to use a car they gave me kinda weird. What’s the point of grinding money and upgrading my cars if I don’t race them!?
Once you complete the playlist you can go back with your own cars and get parts and money
Multiplayer, car shows, challenges, replay playlists, free ride
This game is just test drive unlimited 1 with an upgraded engine 20 years later

Its been a lot better than previous games, not as cringe/ the conversations dont sound as forced. Ive had 2 or 3 narrated verses that did but its not too bad

I find the roads the worst part about the crew. They’re all so blank and unrealistically smooth. As well as too wide. For such a smaller map than the crew 2. The map still feels as poorly put together. The downtown buildings don’t go together and the infrastructure makes zero sense.
I have the first two games which I still enjoy on the Xbox. I’ve just tried the new one I personally thought it was crap. Having said that they do give you a trial which is the Xbox One version which looks crap on a series. X. Doesn’t even play that good.. I will not be shelling out for this game

@@Max_Cony Grand race, ranked summit races, online races, map has more shit to do than fh5, graphics are DEFINITELY not 07. I grew up with 2000s games so i can confirm that much, 60fps is a helluva lot better than 30 on console so thats a compliment. Can support multiple res up to 4k, ACTUAL GOOD EXHAUST SOUNDS, and i can tell you aint played this at all or crew. Matter of fact in crew you also have multiple vehicle types. lmao

I’m enjoying it coming from playing forza for years I picked up the crew 2 last year and grinded the game and it’s what I’m looking for tbh and they constantly update the game so I can’t wait to see how the keep

Game isn't out yet technically, give it time, once players start picking up the game pvp will get better. Grand races are fun, but it's a racing game, pvp is racing other people lol. There's demolition derby and stuff too.

I know it has nothing to do with the racing but why do all the characters look awful? It looks like they made an effort to make them look like the most obvnoxious people on earth and the voice actors make it even worse. I hope the new Test Drive will take a step in another direction.

nah it runs like shit on ps5 and haptic feedback broken. I played forza 5 and gt7 and all other racing games, every 1 of them runs and feels better only good thing in the crew is the sounds and the events are more fun and u can grind them over and over and not forced to do dumb shit like forza. The world yea looks alright but tbh forze 5 looks much better still. but yea paid 3 days early gaming and game can't even handle 30 fps on performence mode it feels like and stuttering every turn u take....
I have zero issues running this on ps5. Your issues are probably because you need to clean your dirty ass ps5 lol. Most all issues stim from a dirty console.
Have no issues on ps5, and the map is much better in crew motorfest campared to fh5, this is good so it can even compete With fh5
