    What are the auto's like in terms of handling power. Any ideas on their limits? A friend recently picked up an auto 86 and is thinking about a supercharger kit for it.

    What oil do you use to change the oil on that sprintext supercharger

    I really love the supercharger sound, what do you think the HKS kit?
    looks like it makes more power but no lovely supercharger sound.

    In one of you FA20 videos, you mentioned how the engine is prone to conrod failure.
    However, will the boost provided by this kit (on stock internals) increase the likelihood of a conrod failure?

    • @Iamdesignproducts
      @Iamdesignproducts 6 лет назад

      Absolutely. It's only a matter of time. With forged internals this engine can reliably hold quite a bit of power!!

    BRENT, LET'S GET MOVING ON PUTTING A SUPERCHARGER PACKAGE TOGETHER FOR THE 2017-2018 FORESTER. THERE ARE A FEW OF US THAT ARE NOT INTERESTED IN SPEED, JUST MORE TORQUE FOR OFF ROAD ADVENTURES.

    excuse my ignorance, but when you say a "built engine"...what do you mean? is this bigger S/charger ok to go on a standard GT86 motor?

    • @TassieLorenzo
      @TassieLorenzo 9 лет назад

      They took the motor apart and built it with forged low-compression pistons etc, specifically for forced induction. They have a video up on this...

  • @MrUltraworld

    Very tidy. The supercharger fits like a glove.

    What's the weak point in the motor if you're going to build the motor for a 335?

      I'm late, but conrods are the weak point in the FA20

    Yes , turbo and supercharger . Nissan March had that, you can't quote me I'm from USA! Supercharger ran until the boost threshold was met ,then supercharger shut off and turbo kicked in vice versa. Would you tackle a supposed car like that?@MRTperformance

      It's a notoriously tough motor. I'm running 12.5psi with one of these (the 210).
      Tops out at around 13.5 after a shot of water/alcohol.

    • @DevasionX
      @DevasionX 8 лет назад +1

      +Toua Xiong because the S2k is an Icon for its Naturaly Aspirated 240 horsepower engine. But the GT86 is what people have yet to understand is a purpose made tuning platform.

    • @TurboD16z6
      @TurboD16z6 8 лет назад

      +DevasionX and the Honda sohc 1.5lite that's an economic car that has every support after market for it... your point is invalid

    • @DevasionX
      @DevasionX 8 лет назад

      Toua Xiong
      Three reasons why theres huge aftermarket support for honda eco boxes:
      1: Even the 1.5 liter engines can support over 200 hp on stock internals, that was one of the two kickstarter reasons why theres a huge aftermarket support. the other is the Culture of Honda being like lego that almost every part could fit the other which brings me to reason two.
      2: the cheap honda's are both reliable and very common, lots of spare parts around.
      3: The S2000 is a future classic.... modifying it will risk dropping the value of the vehicle. Because Its already a perfect balanced vehicle and I see no reason to do anything with the Roadster besides tastefull rims and some suspension tweaking (no fucking slamming).
      Think before you want to shout someones argument is invalid boy.

    • @TurboD16z6
      @TurboD16z6 8 лет назад

      +DevasionX so a car can make 200 has more after market than an f20 that can make 500. right.... try to own an s2k before taking son..

    • @DevasionX
      @DevasionX 8 лет назад +2

      Toua Xiong *sigh* once again, popularity breeds aftermarket support. Civics has been a long running platform. millions are sold of it. And because its cheap to buy a civic and spare parts that made it a popular. You could fit from any type of civic parts on each other. a 1.6 vtec head could fit on a 1.5 block. and similair things kickstarted the tunings capabilities of civics and how easy it is to bolt stuff in. You can put a K20 in it and make it a 400 horsepower turbo civic. The S2k already made tons of natural power so supercharging it wasnt really a thing... I can go on and on. In the end you shouldve known that its common sense the civic is way more affordable than an s2k today and back in the day. Not everyone has that much money around the world. Someone on work has two 96 civics build each didnt cost him more than 250 euros to buy the cars themselves and build it up from lots of different other scrapyard civics. And maybe thats the fun of it. Bang for a buck.
