      +Ryan Clayton over the limit by 20 km/h in Aus and they will impound your car for a month and you will lose your licence for another fortnight after that. Break traction.....You are up for capital punishment, most likely lethal injection or a good ol' fashion hanging. Police's number 1 target in Aus is anybody with a slightly modified or fast car. Victoria is the worst, not too sure how it differs in SA.

    • @Ward1706
      @Ward1706 8 лет назад

      patto505 Just because the car's got SA plates, doesn't mean it takes place in SA. But everything else in your comment is absolutely, 100% correct: police paint enthusiasts and hoons/ricers as one and the same. Which makes people who want to/have already modified their cars really nerve racking and difficult. In QLD, you actually have to have your car engineered and stamped with a blue-plate, saying your car is safe to use on the road.

    Have the tuner disable auto blimp and don't use or buy a puck clutch. Very little people know but ACT makes a clutch rated for 347 ft/lbs of torque "SB7-XTSS".
    Don't buy a pro-light flywheel if you don't want clutch rattle.

    Hey guys, in a short while I'll graduate high school.. My promised me a toyota gt86, but i need your opinion on something because he said that he'll let me choose, so he doesn't mind if it's normal gt, gts or trd version. I want a car with a turbo-charger and that could handle modifications. The reason I say this is because when i started looking at the Scion FR-S I liked it and was sure that it's the one, but then I saw commments about how people owned that car and when the modify it to 300hp and over, something either breaks, bends or needs fixing. So, now I'm really confused...
    Any advice??

    • @OLDKMT
      @OLDKMT 8 лет назад

      my advice. do proper research. there is a lot of misinformation about these cars out there. everyome who hasnt built one swears up amd down that if you push the motor it will break. ive been pushing 15 lbs of boost through the completely stock motor for over a year. last time we had it on the dyno it put down 350 at the wheels on 12 pounds. we havent been back to the dyno sense increasing the boost again but its safe to say it probably at about 370-380. in all the time we have been running it boosted we havent had a single reliability issue. if you build it right the first time you wont have to fix things that break.

    • @joshuaszeto
      @joshuaszeto 9 лет назад

      I have seen a twin charged AE86 that put down 350hp. Average superchargers for the fa20 puts down around 230-260hp and most turbo kits are about the same so combined with a good tune should get you pretty close to 350 conservatively but it's all speculation

    twin charged and makes 250 wheel... waste of time. waste of what could have been a sweet car. if all you wanted was 250 wheel you could habe gone with a smaller EFR turbo made that power with little to no lag. you could have gone with a twin screw blower and made that power and had all of your tourque by 3000 rpm. if all you made was 250 wheel then you wasted all that effort making an overly complex build that by the nature of its complexity is les reliable and harder to tune. ap racing breaks? a pucked clutch? on a car with 250 wheel? you could have left the clutch and breaks stock at that power level. my stock block fa20 with rotrex centrifugal blower makes over 350 wheel and kicks you in the ass from 2000 to red line. twin charging for 250 wheel is so pointless its almost samefull and insulting to the 86 community and all the quality performance shops building real performance 86s

      It's on a stock engine. If they lowered the compression ratio it would allow them to run at a higher psi and make more power. With stronger rods and bigger injectors you have even more to work with. Point is they tuned it on the safe side because it's a stock engine.
