      Was it a permanent fix or do you have to do the excercies regularly

    • @adambauer975
      @adambauer975 2 года назад +8

      @@notlemon8277 I will still get some clicking when I first wake up in the morning or if I've been standing for a whole shift. But all I have to do is rotate it up and down and roll it for about 1 minute and it completely disappears. So I would say YES this has been a lasting improvement. Before these exercises I could never get the clicking to go away.

    • @luqmanr
      @luqmanr 2 года назад +1

      @@notlemon8277 It is a "permanent" fix if you keep exercising it. All muscles will regress eventually (especially with age or injury), and exercise keeps them healthy and maintained

    This is maybe my favorite video I have EVER seen on RUclips. Had cracking ankles for 5+ years, used to get made fun of for it in a quiet office! After going through these exercises once, no more popping. Really amazing results, can't believe it works so well in such a short amount of time. Thank you for this!

I won't be able to start this until my big toe is fully healed, I will consult my podiatrist on when it's ok to do these exercises. This looks like it can work with no further Surgery I think my feet need a break.

    I've had ankle cracking and popping my entire life. From a young child all the way into adulthood I've been very athletic from dance (many forms including ballet and with and without pointe shoes) to soccer to track and so on; and now I practice yoga. Somehow I don't see "tightness' or "weakness" as being my issue. I've literally had this issue for as long as I can remember. It happens most on stairs. Always when walking up stairs and when going up onto my toes as well as back down onto my full foot. Doing a circular motion with my foot will always make my ankles pop too. Other things will cause it too but those are the main causes.

    • @bingorfm724

      Same. I am very athletic as well so I was surprised to have such “loud” ankles haha. Especially when going down stairs and rotating my ankle in a circular motion.

Biggest thing is to control inflammation as much as possible through a proper diet -- with gout that means no fun stuff like red meats, alcohol, sugars, etc. Healthy weight is very important too (to keep stress as much as possible off the joints). I would also recommend working with a rheumatologist too. Hope this helps!

    My left anlke has cracked every step since I rolled badly (missed 8 weeks to recover) playing football at 18years old, I'm 35 now, its become my signature if you will, everone i know, can identify me by the sound my ankle makes when i walk!! 😂 it was explained to me that when I rolled it, the ligament which runs behind the ankle tore from its 'sleeve of muscle' that keeps it in place. It now shifts from behind the ankle and sits on top, I have to manually push it back behind and only surgery can fix the issue, also have a number of ligaments on top of my foot misplaced..

    Quick question, around 4 months ago I was running and my knee popped, it hurt to go upstairs and use the knee for around a month and a half, after that month and a half I didn’t have anymore pain but my knee cap became a little “loose” and feels like it’s rubbing bone on bone, I’ve gotten multiple x-rays and they come out to no fractures, and I was going to get and MRI recently but my insurance cancelled because they won’t cover it, any ideas on what I have? I’m also planning on going to my local chiropractor clinic
