    Fantastic jam! Is the trem system stable (compared to ibanez edge)? Do you like illusionist bridge or lithium bridge on kiesel, also on neck which kiesel pickup do you like (HH)?

    • @jefonyx

      Thanks, the trem is very stable. I like the illusionist bridge, they do have a bit more output than the lithiums. On neck my favorite pickup is the Empyrean.

    Musicman petrucci or kiesel guitars? What do you think?which one is better?

    • @jefonyx
      @jefonyx  6 месяцев назад +1

      There no bad guitar between both. Quality wise it's very close but I would give the slight edge to the musicman for the fret work and the better piezzo setups. But one is customizable and the other isn't.

    Great looking guitar and you're making some awesome sounds on it too. I'm on the fence between an Osiris 7 or 8 with a trem. What are your thoughts on yours now that you've had it for 3 months?

    • @jefonyx
      @jefonyx  Год назад

      Hi ! It's an awesome guitar, as all kiesel headless guitars. Very well balanced, and if you choose chambered swamp ash, then it's very light weight too. Raw tone finish feels more direct sounding, don't know how to describe it...

    Any thoughts on standard scale vs a multiscale for an 8 string Kiesel ? I have been trying to decide

    • @jefonyx
      @jefonyx  Год назад

      Can't answer that for Kiesel multiscale ones but I can answer for Strandberg / Valravn though. Basically the trade is in sound vs playability (especially for lead and soloing). So if you want the best rythm sound, go for multiscale (26.5"-28"). If you prefer to just extend your current instrument and get more versatility then you can stay for regular 27" scale. The difference in sound between 27" vs 28" on the 8th is noticeable.

    Can these bridges flutter? I'm about to build a custom Osiris 8 like this one but multiscale with the multiscale tremolo.

    • @jefonyx
      @jefonyx  6 месяцев назад +1

      Not as much as a 6 or 7 string version but definitely more than a Floyd rose original 8. So a little yes...

      @adownbeatexegete1549 6 месяцев назад

      @@jefonyx I had a Schecter Hellraiser C-8 FR and its Floyd Rose sucked, so I sold it. It was very hard to play on in general, bends were nearly impossible. I'm hoping multiscale will fix that problem. It does for my Legator N8FS which is multiscale.

    • @adownbeatexegete1549
      @adownbeatexegete1549 6 месяцев назад

      @@jefonyx Thank you for the heads up. The
      Floyd Rose 8 Original does flutter well if you have the trem bar as tight as possible and you're beating the shit out of it. There are aftermarket trem bars that are made specifically to stay in one spot and not be loose for that reason.

    • @jefonyx
      @jefonyx  6 месяцев назад +1

      @@adownbeatexegete1549 Kiesel 27" scale on 8 strings with Hipshot trem is a good compromise. I put 9-42-59-74 on them. It's not as easy to bend / flutter as I would do on a 7 string guitar but definitly better than my LTD Reyes 8 (similar construction to your Schecter with an OFR). Hope it helps

      Do you think 09 is better for 8 string with trem? Since it’s a bit stiffer with 010 set.

      @@YousefKawar You're welcome, It's just a question of habits, I am used to 9-42 + 059 on a 7 string guitar in standard tuning. So I just added the 074 on the 8th as I feel it sounds more 'alive' than 080 or 084 (strandberg) on Kiesel 27" scale. I only use 10-46 for one step down guitar tunnings
