I just picked up a “Crescent” branded knife from Menards for $4 after rebait and a sale. It has D2 steel, runs on bearings, had incredible action and 0 play straight out of the package, I think it would make an excellent budget knife and a great review video!
I have a hard time making any Benchmade a knife of the year contender, because the pricing is getting way out of hand. I understand they have a great warranty, but still…
i gave up on them a couple of years ago. price, QC and i don't like their locks
The Benchmade, a $130ish US made knife with M4 is in every way shape and form superior to every other knife in this video. Would you prefer the Chinese made Kizer Shitfoot with aluminum liners, G10 and 40 year old stainless garbage Aus 8 rockwelled at 57? Buy American, be happy to pay a little extra or wallow in entry level Chinese garbage. Benchmades have lifetime warranties. Kizers and most other low end Chinese knives have no warranty whatsoever. Details matter friend. Happy NY btw!

@@maxwellsokol2934benchmade has proven to have lost their way. I’ve handled a narrows and I’ll take by drift large over that all day long. Almost equally thin, way better fit and finish and just over half the price asking with Taiwan made. You shit talk Chinese knives, but apparently are forgetting that reate is completely spanking benchmade in almost every way. Go ahead and talk up benchmades warranty service because you’ll need it. I’ve NEVER had to send a reate back. I’ve gotten multiple shit QC’d benchmade knives. 🤔🤔🤔

I saw the video of you shopping at Indiana Knives. I got Spyderco butterfly knife with the more EDC blade from Indiana Knives. Small FLY II might be the model name. I just came from your vide o on Dawson Knives that popped on my feed then I went to your Channel for your video list to see your latest. You two are GREAT to watch, you make good videos. I also would like to say you all taught me and brought me the knowledge of how sharp Dawson knives are no matter spine thickness. I didn't know that or that you two did fixed blades. Dawson just moved into a new shop going from Prescott Valley to Prescott proper. I onceived in Prescott, fun town.

2023 was definitely the year of crossbar locks. I have a feeling 2024 is going to have a lot of compression locks. Vosteed can’t be the only ones coming after spyderco
When Canis came out, they TOTALLY should have had put SPY27 and button compression lock. How they going to come up on losing rights and only ever used button compression lock on only ONE model? And NO ONE asked for button compression lock for their PM2 exclusive???
2023 was definitely the year of the cross bar and button locks. Personally, I’ll take a frame lock, line lock or bolster lock over the other two mechanisms 98% of the time. I even gave away my alt pyrite as a gift as my quiet carry drift L and PNW Wharnetac have been getting all of the pocket time

I bought a Civivi Vision FG and a Civivi Sentinel Strike. Really like both of them but call me weird, but my favorite Civivi is still the Conspirator. As far as Benchmade is concerned, I've only got a few. The newest model I have is the Redoubt but that's from 2022. .As a group, I still really love the Sanrenmu made Real Steel and Ruike knives from 2017/2018. As far as Spyderco, I was able to purchase a Military 2. That is the knife I've been waiting for for a long time. I got into Spydercos only in October of 2021. First one was a Para 3 in S30V and the following day, I purchased a Military in S110V. I thought to myself back then, wouldn't it be neat if you could combine both? They did and I love it.

I picked up the ZT0545, the leatherman ARC and Benchmade mini Adamas special edition all in magnacut. Not sure the mini Adamas is 23 but new to me. Happy New Year.

The Vision FG is my pick of the year, I love mine. And I think you were quoting my comment on the Narrows, gotta say it's really fine after handling it. Surprised you guys don't have the Civivi Bulltusk. My wife got me one for Christmas, the one in Ultem and Damascus, wow, fantastic. Good video guys. Thanks for all the content this year. It was mostly a budget kinda knife year for me, so my top pick would be the Pyrite. Such a smooth button lock. Splurged a tiny bit for the titanium handled version. Hoping to get the blacked out blade, pink aluminium handled mini Pyrite when my favourite retailer is restocked. Love that licorice all-sorts aesthetic.
Not quite making it to my door in time for year's end is the Civivi Sokoke. I snagged a damascus & linen micarta version on sale. Now I just have to defer the gratification until 2024.

My favorite has to be the Spyderco Military 2. It just works for me.👍🏻 decent picks though.
Civivi Elelmtum with the whircliff blade with thumb studs and rear flipper 55 buck also the miguron centurion geat buget price at 50 bucks awesome bag for your buck and the give you a titanium pocket clip and awesome scale that I believe are carbon fiber along with the multiple fidget factors.
In 2023, among dozens of knives, I bought a Kershaw Iridium and a mini Praxis, a CJRB Pyrite, a Civivi Odium. I got an AD20.5 and finally picked up a QSP Penguin. Happy New Year..!!!

It's been in my pocket almost everyday since I've bought it! I still remember the 1st knife I bought on your guys recommendation was a Gonzo firebird knife, the "roadrunner" looking knife! I definitely give knife of the year to the civivi Fusion FG. It fixed the problem with the clip that the fusion had and just made it awesome and more affordable.

My favorite knife for 2023 is the Kershaw Livewire. Kershaw’s jump into the OTF category was a game changer for Kershaw and the move was long overdue.

The Civivi Balthair is my most surprising great knife of the year. I don't like Tantos and angular shapes, but it is sooooo good !

Not the best ones of the year, but biggest surprises were almost half price Spyderco Zoomer after not pulling the trigger for 4 years and Midgards Messer the Fenris. Sweet damn eyeopeners! I have to say it was a good year for knives, as will the new year be. Im just starting to get my comfort level North of $400 & $600. Got three in 2023 and next ones planned for Friday, plus if he will, an ultimate dream knife I've wanted since 2007: Jay Fisher Creature with exclusive locking sheath
