I started following this story the next day 12/11, and the drone footage was unreal. The path of this Tornado in Mayfield was horrendous. It breaks my heart, and my thoughts & prayers continue to be with all effected. After the last couple years with COVID, if I had more resources I’d be volunteering, and helping people. Those people need help and support.

My family and I were victims of an F-4 tornado in 1984. I was 9 years old and was scared of storms from 9 years of age until I was 17. I feel for the children and families that lost their home. For decades I missed my childhood home and always felt a part of me was missing. They will heal and the only thing that helped me was to accept a storm for what it is. As long as you are in a safe place, a storm brings about immesurable change to a person's life and to not be fearful but to make sure your safe when one is on its way. Home is on the inside and dwells within the ones you love and that love you.
I was in Oklahoma for buisness and they joked that if they herd there was a tornado, they'd go out side look at it and then go back in as if nothing happened. It's so true what the lady is saying.
The after effects of the tornado are lasting. The survivors are traumatize while they are still grieving the lives of their loved ones ❤ My prayers 🙏 are going up for them all.

This is true I want to move out of my state California and the first thing I look at is natural disasters. A lot of states really aren’t safe with weather, so many hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, volcanoes etc. Utah seems like a safe place to live.

God bless all of y'all. I'm so sorry. It's so horrible. We had the same weather here in north east La. That day and night. Humid hot and cloudy. Even the whole day was scary after the forecast. One lady in the video made the correct assessment. People don't believe it can happen to them and they think ah it's probably another severe thunderstorm not a real tornado. I'm laughed at by my family. I pack my dogs in my jeep and head to the opposite direction the weather radio says it's coming from. I don't screw around to wait and see. My sister is like we don't have tornados here. They go around us due to the hills. Well we've all of the sudden started having f1s and 2s and a f3 went over my home. Thank God no structure damage but two broken window panes from debris. They don't laugh at me anymore. And I don't care if they do. I have a weather radio. It usually gives adequate time to get to cover or leave. You have to be aware of it's direction of travel tho. With smart phones you can pull up live radar. Learn how. I can't afford a storm shelter. They make simple boxes rediculous to afford. It's an ethical thing. A shame. But I'm afraid of being trapped anyway below ground and no one knowing. Plus where we are near the river u dig 4 ft u hit water. So I haul booty! I'm so sorry for these folks misfortune I think about them every day.
