ruined the themed, animation not bad, racecawap is meh for Osborne, Harry Moseley woke mental person could do with our, but is what is, I'll check out once starts streaming at end of month to decide if good or bad show
this doesnt matter. its a design choice, race swapping is okay as long as it isn't a key element of the character. White Black Panthers wouldn't work since, that's literally a huge element of the character- their ethnicity. [albino/mixed ones have existed] Race swapping normon osborne is whatever, it doesn't affect anything and is just a choice of the film. I have no clue why people care so much since it literally doesn't affect anything about the story- which is the important part of the show.
@@radium6962 race swaps are inherently racist, because it does nothing but tokenizes a character, and shows that you don't actually care to create a new original black character. Plus it is lazy, and shows you don't care.
@@dermywermy080 Not really, again it depends more on writing. Changing the race of a character whose stories or characterization has nothing to do with their race doesn't matter. It's a design choice for comic accurate waves probably, which is perfectly fine. It doesn't show any of that, the lazy thing would be to not make a new design at all.
@radium6962 they didn't make a new design though, and they just made Norman and Harry black. It is lazy, and it shows you don't actually care to make a new original character and only see validity in already white characters. On top of this, I would have more respect with your argument if you actually applied it evenly. You brought up Black Panther being made white, so then did you call out Snow White being made a latina?
@@dermywermy080 ...What? What does the last part have to do with anything? I brought up a superhero example that wouldn't work. That is a new design. You also haven't mentioned my point of it not mattering since it has nothing to do with the original character's background. I don't see this lazyness argument at all either, again I'd argue it'd be lazier to just 1:1 remake a previously done character design, here they made a change- like any other show does with new designs. I don't have many white character examples on hand tbh where it is a key part of their character since that is a rarity. The 2009 Avatar live action movie [which sucked btw] casted white actors to play the role of characters who in the original story were east asian and Inuit, which is important to the story's setting. The difference between live-action and animation is that, in live action, if you have a character who is intended to be of a certain ethnicity, sometimes- you just can't get an actor who is affordable or available for it. This happens in some films. In animation, there's no reason- since voice actors don't need to look like their characters. My overall point is this doesn't matter at all, this isn't trying to be Earth-616 Norman Osborne, it's it's own story and setting with the liberty of it's own character designs and character backgrounds. It hasn't made a character whose ethnicity is important to their character a different ethnicity as far as I'm aware.
I think this ain't it. Show hasn't even come out yet. I'm fine with Osbourne being black. Alternate universe and whatever. This ain't it. You and a few of you guys are alone in this. I'm commenting now because across the board no one knows the story, only we now this is an alternate universe, tackling a new angle about Spider Man, and a new fresh take on Spider Man too. Yea, again this ain't it. I agree with Ariel being black is wrong, Rey Palpatine is an abomination of a character that erased Legends characters, and others but this ain't it again.
This isn’t representation it’s overkill. New York is not 90 percent African American.😂
JJJ is gonna LOVE this! “Spider-man: Hero or Racist?!”
so Spiderman will be beating on a black man now?
It’s woke
progressive? diversity? inclusion? yes thats woke. its something you must get used too.
@Cobracatcommander you misspelled stupid, and no we don't have to get used to it. Especially since Trump won.

They made the bad guy black! I thought you guys would love that?
@@devinbrady4433 why would you think that?
I love it when you idiots pretend that's even remotely in our minds. Pathetic loser.
its okay. its an alternate universe.
That's what they said a bout Miles....
you sound like my friend who hates everything including his own life. I wish you the best

What if white black panther has a black friend?? Would it work then?
