Glorious! As for the Classic Shadow thing - WELL DONE BY THE WAY MAKING HIM A THING - I think the thing Sega dislikes is the implication he has a "younger" self, since I believe most canons are he was created at his current age. There isn't such an implication in the credits because Movie Sonic et al don't have "Classic", younger counterparts. I hope this makes some sense. I think the Sonic Animation as he appears is pretty good myself, since it gives a sense of him realising he's appearing, but of course, you're the animator and I'm but an enjoyer.
yeah! besides, having a "classic shadow" would "CONTRADICT" the timeline because in the Sonic games canon, there's 2 DIFFERENT TIMELINES.. and Modern Sonic and Classic Sonic is the same person (though they are really not) and that Shadow was "made in Sonic Adventure 2, so he's a modern character" when the Chaotix were made.. 6 years prior.. but are ALSO considered modern characters... logically, it's because shadow would've been locked away in-between the events of Maria's death and Sonic Adventure 2, so technically SEGA is right.. but for the wrong reason. however yeah I like your opinion, just clarifying (sorry)
this makes tons of sense. Honestly I feel like SEGA coulda avoided all this by naming it "Young Sonic" instead of "Classic Sonic" perhaps that leads to other issues though....
@@yggdrasilsaltar classic sonic from the 90s is not the same classic sonic post-generations. For one, he can speak in both English and Japanese, and for two, he has a much darker fur colour. (The generations one is light cyan, the pre-generations one is much more natural blue.)
@@z.a.k.e.n.3901 They went back on the split timeline thing a few years ago. Classic just goes into modern at some point on a sliding time scale since they plan on continuing to make more "classic" style games. Design differences we see aren't actually something the characters will ever acknowledge because to them nothing like that changes (and stuff like classic and modern Amy having different outfits is easily explained). Like it or hate it, this is the current state of the franchise.
It must have been such an honor to help work on the end credits for a Sonic film. Thank you for making the best end credits sequence in the Sonic trilogy. Loved it to bits.
ohhhh such a huge honor. I loved being able to put in things fans would notice. My brain doesnt even compute how gigantic this is. the credits have been scene by millions and thats INSANE
13:15 I kind of get why - it would mess with the canon since Shadow is not a 16 bit era and knowing Sonic fans…yes, fans have modded shadow into classic sonic games but SEGA never did it.
That's the thing, I didn't understand why the fans wanted Shadow in an Genesis games. Now fan games are one thing (take "Sonic 3D in 2D" for example) but something that is officially made by Sega? Don't the fans realized that poor Shadow was locked up for 50 Years and to a bit of an extension, maybe 5 or so years (if you start from Sonic 1 to SA-2), so there's no way that Sega themselves will ever input Shadow in Sonic 1, 2, 3, CD, Mania, & even Superstars (minus the costume, I think Classic Sonic looks adorable when trying to be the Ultimate Lifeform).
@@Jadinite-2006ah that’s a good point. Canonically he would still be in the tube since he was hidden away. No wonder…people wanting a classic shadow wouldn’t work…UNLESS…UNLESS they do some multiverse stuff and sneak him in.

Sonic the Fighters?" to the friend I was with, knowing full well that he wouldn't actually know, lol. You did an amazing job with this and I love hearing behind the scenes stuff like this. You've earned yourself another subscriber. Sometimes the youtube algorithm does its job.
This is basically like a content creator make a Lego Spider-Man scene in Across the Spider-Verse, which is awesome!
these credits made me smile so hard...thank you for your hard work !!
also seeing the sonic characters dance is objectively funny...look at them go...
thanks :) Me personally, I almost cried lol
I was expecting another 16 bit styled credits scene when I first saw the movie so you can imagine my surprise and sheer joy at seeing your low-poly style scene instead. It looked incredible!
Great work! Thanks for illuminating just how funny old corporate guys think animated dances are.
Now looking at all those 3D films with dancing in the trailers make so much more sense. Its all for the old dudes....
@@z.a.k.e.n.3901”modern and classic are the same character (though they really are not)” what did bro mean by this
this makes tons of sense.
This is some stellar work, amazing job! An official classic shadow design of any kind is something I had wanted for years.
I didn't even live in this low-polygon era and this opening credits sequence STILL gave me nostalgia. AMAZING WORK!!!
It could just be an alternate timeline
@@K2SonicFan They tried it with Sonic Prime...and you know how that went.
yeah I think just as a fun non "what if" I woulda thought it'd be a thing by now. I do get story wise why they don't. Honestly at this point the fact they haven't is kinda admirable
Congrats man!!! I legit was wondering if a low poly creator I possibly followed on social media was the creator of the credit sequence and it was you! Love your work, and congrats once again
sleepyghost holy shit
yeah 😅 sonics worked with independent artists before so they've been pretty good for it. this one specifically I checked my email again and the lady who reached out specifically pointed out my youtube. So it musta been the lowpoly Shorts I posted for the goku vegeta stuff lol
Really man, thank you so much for using the Sonic Fighters model. I swore that no one else remembered this Sonic game and it's one of my favorite Sonic games.
And man, your work was incredible, my friends congratulated me because it was perfect and we are from Brazil.
Sonic the Fighters deserves a better modern re-release. This artist did a great job mixing the style of Sonic the Fighters with modern Sonic proportions.
I remember going back from the cinema trying to remember what style was used in the credits, tysm for the credits they were so good
That was actually really cool; I was amazed by those at the end credits. Love to see the entire process, the extra stuff that wasn't added. And it was really cool to see Sonic The Fighters represented. Love your pixel art!
thank you :) there was more aspects I wanted to talk about specifically for the music vid but that stuffs under NDA a bit lol
@@suitNtie22 hope you get to talk about it at some point cause I wanted to hear more bts stuff
Thank you for making classic styled shadow
No way, Sega hired this man.
wtf congrats man! The models look phenomenal and you did some awesome work.
Dude props to you for making that and your friend because I loved every second of it I was in the theater dancing with them like I absolutely loved it😎👍
This is honestly talented work, I see why Sega and Paramount decided to hire you for the job, like I love how you added slight movements from the games including SA2 in the Sonic fighters models, all they do is just put a wide smile on my face on how enjoyable the credit sequence was, so glad the directer has chosen you, and it must feel *amazing to be the first one to create classic shadow!* As Sega haven’t done it before, thank you so much for cooking so hard!!! I love it!
This was a really genuine and for some reason calming video. Your pace, editing, and overall production of the video was enjoyable. Congrats on this achievement, and I hope u have more opportunities like this one.
Oh gosh thank you. I fealt like when I was making the vid it wasn't good. I kinda crunched to get it out while the films still fresh.
25:55 the line dancing animation goes in line with the Sonic doing Gangum style gif and I love that, someone make that a gif please
haha when I did the Line dancing they thought I copied Footloose so that was a big factor. I guess Footloose has a monopoly on LineDancing in films lol
you killed it man you worked on the most sucessful movie in the world and made history
"most sucessful movie in the world" ehh.... might be selling that one a bit hot lol
Lets go with: "one of the most sucessful movies in the world right now"
@ yeah that’s what I meant thanks for correcting me
I work at a movie theater, and I've seen your work so many times while doing cleanings for Sonic 3. Keep up the great work.
20:50 - 21:50 While this gave some more clarity as to why so many animated movies have dance sequences since the first Shrek, it really does make me raise another question as to why middle-aged boomers find a character dancing to be funny
@@deppo436 I think with big projects like this with so many cooks in the kitchen you want to pick the most sinple ideas. So like dancing is silly, slapstick is really silly, maybe throw in a burp or a fart idk 😅 just easiest to get a large group on board instead of having one dude like "I dont get the joke"
@suitNtie22 I suppose that does make sense, though that feels more like a double edged sword in the long run if you're goal for an adaptation is to be love letter to the IP.
I can't imagine how frustrating it must be if you're a diehard fan working on a dream project but you have change a few sequences here or there because some out of touch fossil who isn't the target demographic didn't understand the deep cuts and references that said audience would catch.
@@deppo436 haha yeah I mean the OG ugly Sonic was from that exact problem! Imagine being the animators that 1st go round having these old decision makers who didnt give a shit pushing that aweful design 🤣
Woah! You made those parts?! Congratulations! I’m glad you got recognized by the director! :)
I Loved this! The animation in theater was a vibe all throughout and gave a nice recap feeling
Being here before this video completely blows up is really cool. CONGRATS AND THANK YOU SO MUCHHH
I like how your design for Agent Stone is essentially how fans design Agent Stone in a cartoony game style. lol
Great job with this, dude. When I went to see this, one of my friends and I turned to each other and said “this is perfect.”
you're perfect :) thank you
Thank you for finally creating Classic Shadow.
OOOHHH thank you so much for confirming Fighters models were an intentional homage, i kept thinking "this looks like Fighters, but they probably just did a random "low poly" thing because Dreamcast is an old console and they wanted a shorthand for "old 3d game"... which, sure it was sort of like this too, but still, going for a legit type of models Sonic DID use instead of making it up? im so excited about the amount of care put in these movies!!
I popped off when i noticed the OG adventure pose. Like the way he wide stances is so iconic
Glad to see your work on the big screen, it was the cherry on top of a great movie
That's so awesome that you made for the credit!
such an incredible opportunity !!! i adored how the credits looked , you did an incredible job
That end credits animation was fantastic and clever as the two films prior were based on the 2D games and the third movie is based on a 3D game. A nice send off to the film!
Underrated!! You made it so like wow idk how to explain, sin how good it was!! Congrats on 3.29k subs!!
Saw the movie for the third time yesterday and the end credits are the perfect ending to a perfect movie. Thank you so so much for all of your hard work! Your work is incredible and super appreciated!
YO THANK YOU FOR THE END CREDITS BRO GOOD JOB FOR COOKING ON IT ITS WAS FIRE :0
You did an excellent job on the art and animations, dude! I do sincerely hope that you don't get blacklisted for telling your story, especially because you didn't reveal anything super private or critical of those you worked with on this project (and it was free PR too). I join your fam in hoping this'll lead to more opportunities.
All the 3D models of the characters were awesome! I am surprised that they didn't ask you to use the Sonid Adventure 2 models. Oh, well. It is, what it is. You did a phenomenal job on animating the characters! Also, kudos to your friend who animated those two particular animations as well!
yeah same. If they decided on the sonic adventure models they prolly would have gotten a different animator or something. They thought I was a specialist in Lowpoly which I guess? honestly any highpoly 3D animator/modler coulda pulled this off I feel. Still Im hella grateful :))
I loved the credits. Congrats on getting this opportunity!! 🎉
Anything relating to STF is a win in my book (The models are fire btw)
Ty
Hopefully, they'll call you back for the fourth movie.
Thanks for cookin so hard and making classic shadow :D
Thank you for your work, we all cheered at the ending shot with Sonic and Shadow
haha that was @tv16Bit who animated that last shot :)) soo cool
You absolutely CRUSHED it.
I tried to get the attention of the Sonic Movie team by making a song called 'sonic 3 by rg' it was essentially what I envisioned the credits sequence sounding like. Didn't end up happening for me, of course. But you never know, maybe I'll be able to contribute to the fourth movie in some way. Wether it's minor or major.
haha thats awesome that you tried atleast :) I know for Run It the song was finished before Jelly Roll was even a part of it. they had that shit done for a while with an artist dropping out. Only made DJ shadow cause David Guetta nearly left the project as well XD
@@suitNtie22 wait so it’s not a Jelly Roll song originally? I should have figured - I wonder who the original artist was?
But yeah I did not like the song compared to the other end credits scene but I wanna believe they had a good reason for going in this direction.
I love how you interpreted Gerald Robotnik & Dr. Eggman.
They looks genuinely amazing in poly.
You did such a great job! The end credits really stuck with me after I left the theater, It was so well animated and really inspired me to create more!
im going to eat ur art and ur artsyles. This IS a threat.
i saw this film on my birthday, it was so good, i loved the credits and, glad that a youtuber got the chance to make it, thank you for making a really cool credits scene
You cooked harder than sega this time!! Ws in the chat for making classic shadow a reality
Thank you so much for your work, it was really enjoyable to watch :)
This is amazing. Thanks for sharing and I'm glad that Sega and Paramount had the good taste to green light this. You guys have done some excellent fan service with this. I won't comment on the choice of music but I loved how well you managed to capture the vibe of all of the game series together in your models.
thank you T.T when It was winding down I wish I coulda done more!
OMGGG so happy you popped up on my recommended, THE OUTRA IS AMAZINGGG!!! I LOVEE LOVE THE AGENT STONE AND THE CLASSIC SHADOW:D
19:51 “Hey Shadow dab me up”
It was you!?!?!? Dude, thank you for making the characters for the end credits, great job 👏.
Now that is a big achievement out of nowhere. Congratulations, lad! 🎉
yeah still in shock sometimes 😅
Loved seeing the beautiful lower-poly models in the credits! Pretty cool that each movie’s credits is moving a little further through the Sonic games’ history a little further! Awesome job and thank you so much!!
I knew it! I knew those models looked familiar!! Thx for cooking man 🔥🔥🔥 I’m 14 and an animator and artist aswell and I post my stuff on TikTok
you did such a cracking job!!!! i loved the credits every single time i have been to see this movie. eyes still glued to the screen! the little shadow in a bubble made me smile so much
This is so cool seeing the process and talk about these models and project. Super fascinating dude, hope you do more cool stuff!
Sooo cool, thanks for a great viewing experience, really enjoyed it and hoped you are proud!
