Did you put caulking on the bolts also?
You want to put thread lock on the bolts and adhesive silicone sealant where the two halves meet.

don't you need sealant in the middle of the three pieces?
You can dry seal and wet seal. Dry sealing like this is neater but all the sealant needs to do is create a seal to stop air coming though the pieces. This is achieved both ways.
