Kyrie would probably make the Lakers worse as their run post-trade deadline to make it into the playoffs was due in large part to their defense. Kyrie might actually be a worse defender than D'Angelo Russell and well you would gain more offensive production you would lose back-court continuity.
The answer to why not to build around AD: He can't lead a team. He can't create offense for others. All-time defender, all time finisher, but not a #1 option
Unfortunately, no one cares about them. Jokic is my favorite player (Celtics fan) but nuggets are my second favorite team. Have been all year. And I feel like nobody ever talks about them
@@EDTheOneable he’s predicted as a late first round pick already by espn and other places in mock drafts personally I think he can be that good just too early to rank him since he technically hasn’t played a lick of college ball yet
I think if you try to build a team around AD: 1. He probably won’t extend immediately, if at all because of injury issues and how he needs a team around him + 31 year old AD doesn’t sound like the 1A he was in NO. He’d be unsure about the Lakers and either be traded immediately for not extending or tells them to talk in the middle of the season. 2. Say you keep him, you’ll likely finish with 35 wins, no playoffs, and lose him for nothing
LeBron plays the "professional sports media" like a fiddle and just started this retirement talk to draw attention away from the fact that the supposed "basketball goat" got SWEPT AND the man couldn't even get up a final shot the the last game of that series.
Lakers can call his bluff. They don’t have to capitulate. Everybody knows he’s not going to just suddenly retire without doing an attention-seeking final season of making it all about himself.
Uh idk if you watched the same series when you’re saying the lakers never looked like the better team “for a single minute” how bout in game 1 when they basically destroyed the nuggets in the second half? I mean this video just seems like total click bait speculation with made up supporting arguments. How do we know AD wouldn’t want to play with Kyrie? How do we know LeBron is pushing for Kyrie specifically or that Kyrie even wants to play there? How do we know that LeBron isn’t just actually considering retirement? How does threatening retirement actually give him more leverage when that really just makes him seem even less committed to the lakers? Most importantly, even if his whole plan is true, how do we know the lakers are against this idea when they probably don’t have a great chance to contend without further sacrificing the future anyway?
I couldn't agree more that lakers did look like the better team at times and especially that game 1. Rui on jokic and AD taking advantage on gordan bad floor spacing to protect the rim was a great move and Nuggets struggled with that all series. As for the rest of your comment I feel like your doing the same as the video in making assumptions which is not a wrong thing. No one knows the futures all we can do is try and predict it. Not thinking of the future is like playing checkers while your opponent is playing chess
This was almost a great video! I think everyone forgot LeBron said he needed surgery on his foot 🦶. The man said he wants to play with his son. For all we know he could buy a team, retire, tell both his boys to stay in college..... And then comeback 😂 🤷
Why do you have two channels? The videos on the first channel and this channel are the same style. Normally people with multiple channels at least do something different with the content and style between channels. So just curious to why you have two channels that are basically the same why not just put them on one channel.
These videos are more researched and have clips that are put in for a reason because they make the point. His other channel is more just him talking about what is happening like a podcast style format
They got a championship that year. I think that was the best move possible. I doubt the pieces they gave up would still be there at this point. The lakers organization (the buss family) would never go way over the salary cap to resign hart, Ball, and Ingram. They may have kept one at best and those 1st round picks weren't going to become anything good as NO would tell you. The buss family makes most of their money from the lakers and they dont want to break even. No disrespect to the lakers but the bubble truly was the perfect environment for them. As other teams struggled with loneliness and their mental health, lebron kept his guys focused. Role players played well in the bubble and that is what most of the lakers team was. Without getting AD a year early they very well might not have a chip. I also want to say I'm not trying to take away from the bubble victory like a lot of people. I personally think the bubble was one of the toughest things for players and big props to the goat for winning and yes lebron is my goat but I don't think he wins a chip if AD comes a year later
I dislike this dude so much I hope he retires and we never hear of his narcissistic BS ever again. Thats just so disrespectful on so many levels.
I mean, you just lost 4-0 and in the final game you were the only one that showed up and put 40 pts. Dont think this time he got a plan, he just was frustrated nobody helped him and had to carry at 38 years old
I think this was the right chess move for him as far as setting the tone to the organization. We joke about "LeGM" but in reality he doesn't call the front office shots and has to use his leverage in these final years to try to get one last ring

Kind of sounds like you're pulling a Lebron here using your platform to come up with a narrative. I've been running into your channel for a couple years now and let's not pretend like you don't try to pull some strings and come up with some narratives of your own ala the James harden philly Houston against Brooklynn video.
Didn’t we all know he wasn’t actually retiring? And even if he did it woulda only been like a MJ’s 1st retirement where it’s only for a couple seasons then back but in this case to play with Bronny
He pumped faked, and everyone went for it while he drove in for the dunk. No way he was actually gona retire.
Did anyone on Earth think that he was going to retire?

And because he's inconsistent. Can't have that as a 1st option
That’s would make it make more sense to get kyrie
Where's the Nuggets vid? They swept the Lakers.
Unfortunately, no one cares about them. Jokic is my favorite player (Celtics fan) but nuggets are my second favorite team. Have been all year. And I feel like nobody ever talks about them
They don't produce enough clicks despite being the best team in the league right now.
Bro pulled significantly more views on this video than he has subscribers within 2 days, no nuggets video is doing that
Cry
Don’t think he fooled anyone. Media just ran with it for the clicks really. He got swept again lol
No way in hades he doesn't take an entire gd season to do a goodbye tour.
He’s not gonna retire he wants to play with his son. At most he’ll just take a year off and join with his son wherever he gets drated
Not if his son doesn't want him too😂
This could take more than a year.
