I watched your video and of course like so many other clay friends I said.. "Oh! I can make these." After my first one I couldn't help but wanting to make more. So I've made 8 of them so far,. Thanks for this video!!
Ahhh how I do love your videos. Even after a year I gladly visited them again, for inspiration, for fun, for some fresh air in my mood and head. So thank you Jane. Hope you are doing well.
I'm a beginner, and don't live near any pottery facilities, so I've been learning from books and RUclips and came across your video. Very easy to understand, I'd like to make myself some functional pieces, but not sure how to go about firing them so that they are safe for use. I can make a fire pit or turn a metal bin into a kiln, but will the pieces be OK to use and can I use bright happy commercial glazes in a fire pit or metal bin? I really do want to know, because the books I have etc don't mention it. Thank you for sharing your bottle making method. Cheers!
Hi There, gosh, I think you sound adventurous enough to try making a kiln or trying a pit firing - as long as your firing method reaches the suggested temperature of the glaze you apply then it will melt sufficiently and probably be ok...however these things are super tricky to control....I say just go for it and see what happens, you will learn so much from the process 😃 good luck! 👍🏼
@@JaneScottCeramics thank you for a reply, no one has ever replied back to my question, so I thought that maybe it was too stupid to answer, so thank you, and I'll give it a go I just was worried that the pieces weren't safe to use. I'll make tiles first for my kitchen they'll be good to see what works and what doesn't. Cheers from Tasmania!
It's amazing how cute it turned out and how quickly it came together! What a fun and useful tutorial, thanks for creating and sharing!

Hola, que le coloca para pegar las piezas ?
Always use liquid clay to glue the piece together.
