Bill Van Gilder uses a paint roller to stretch slabs over hump molds. I use it all the time to make really elegant dishes. So simple but a brilliant solution.
Hi. You're hoding the heatgun too close to the surface, so a lot of the heat get trapped in the gun, shortening the lifespan of the gun significantly. That's prob why they break on you :)
Ok do you need to line The container before you pour the plaster with anything or should you use some oil call or something to get it out of the container
I just poured the plaster in and it popped out without any releasing agent at all, they are quite flexible those plastic cloches so you should be able to wiggle it a bit and pop it out without too much trouble ☺️
I truly enjoy your videos Jane however I cannot seem to find the one for the thin rimmed palm pot. I believe it was an extra project after a video. Can you help?

Does slip go on leather set clay? No biscuit fired. I’m a beginner and learning lots.

Get some plastic cloches 😁 and good luck!
