Easter Egg Nr. 30: Souvenirs from the Asylum
In Arkham City you can find several props from Batman: Arkham Asylum.
Here are some examples:
- Crates with Arkham Asylum logo.
- Osito, the teddy bear that Bane played with as a child.
- Lunatics from the Asylum. It is revealed that they were used by Hugo Strange for his mind control research.
- Crates with Joker's Titan formula.
- Gotham Magazine with references to Joker, Commissioner Gordon, the Injustice Gang, Bruce Wayne, the Penguin and Quincy Sharp.
- Helena, the mannequin "married" with Preston Payne, the third Clayface (Basil Karlo is the original Clayface we see in Arkham Asylum and Arkham City).

Man, Osito sure gets around...
bane probably did the one man hide and seek
No wonder Bane loved him as a kid.
Osito probably has a soul not even Bane knows of.
you know now i kind feel sad for bane for what ever make him that way
@@badreedinedjellali1328 definetly not having his mother die when he was a child spending his childhood in a prison eating vermin and insects in a pit for his teenage years
Okay, this proves that the arkham knight is Osito it's obvious!
1 year later, and you're right.
I should have known
I always like when there are references to the original Asylum in the newer games. Reminds me of the good old times...
Same they also reveal how they got there
Sameq
Lunatics give me the creeps e.e
Especially when they jumpscare you...
Arkham Asylum gives me the creeps
Me too
i wonder why the lunatics corpses are on city wonder
vicente castillo it’s because Hugo Strange was testing on them. It’s canon
"Joker Caught!
Bank Robbery"
Foreshadowing to the events of Origins perhaps?
No, because Joker looks like he does in Asylum,City and Knight on the newspaper and in Origins he was a lot younger so he would've looked different. Origins took place in 1985/6 and that was 25 years ago circa Arkham Knight which takes place in 2010. Although Joker broke into Gotham Merchants Bank in Arkham Origins so maybe...
Batman fought criminals for like 12 years (recording to arkhamwiki so yeah i think it's impossible that Arkham origins takes place in 1985
Doubt it. That newspaper was in the first game, years before Origins was even a blip on the radar. Best you could say is that WB Montreal used that newspaper headline as inspiration for the bank robbery scene in Origins.
@@peteryates9600 such a old comment but no, Origins doesn’t take place in ‘85, there is technology that wasn’t present in this year, like smartphones, I don’t know from were did you take that year
@@peteryates9600 Origins didn't place at 1985 bruh
I remember when I first got to the Clayface section in Asylum. I kept reloading the sequence because I thought I was continually missing him transforming...
Arkham knight is gonna be packed full with Easter eggs to the brim
Joseph Ben-Obasa That's what they said! Can't wait! It'll interesting!
You can say that again
He-Man ! Lol moron
He-Man ! Uhm? Like 100+ more references then city
He-Man ! Your the only stupid idiot here
1:08 that looks like a scarecrow victim. You know, when you first meet scarecrow in AA and that guy pops up looking creepy? That guy
the lunatics in arkham asylum scared me out of shit . >_
I love the music from Arkham Asylum
Ah, the Asylum. Brings back well, not so old memories because I finished the game not really that long ago. Though I a little happy of finishing it because it kinda gives me creeps and chills but I think it was meant to be made like that.
I finished the game on all difficulties
osito is spanish for little bear
I am from spain :v
Nice to know Officer Spooder
Thank you, officer.
I already knew the joker picture with the kisses was from the asylum
Harley’s pics of Joker with kisses on them is also a reused prop (Arkham Asylum: riddle; Arkham City: boiler room).
I think the real Osito is in the Safe in Episode 3 of Catwoman, since it states something about the inmates's belongings.
Haha nice found!
The amount of depth in this game is amazing
haha i love how you add AA ost on this vid! i always like this song!
The first clayface, and the one featured in the Arkham games was Basil Karlo. He was followed by Matthew Hagen and then Preston Payne, Sondra Fuller, Cassius 'Clay' Payne, Claything, Todd Russell and Johnny Williams.
Wow, I love the 2 vids that u guys posted, they were so worth finding and playing the game still, um I need help with the Carnival Map, how do I beat it?
Nice job with putting the Asylum music in
You have to climb down the elevator shaft through a grate from the sanatorium once you have the ability to rip them off the hinges. On your way down to the levels were you first encounter the Scarecrow, you have to go a certain way through the vents and you drop into Harley's office. It's the only way to get the Riddle saying something like "Are you going to take your hat off to Harley, Batman?" Hope it helps!
I love going back to the old batman games
More Easter Eggs? Awesome!
1:23 Look at the Endangered wild Insane person species!
There's like 8 Clayfaces. They even had their own villain team.
That explains why the mannequin of the 3rd one is in the cell of Basil, if that‘s truly him. You can never know for sure with shapeshifters.
Little Bear in spanish is "Pequeño Oso" or "Osito"
Bone is "Hueso" in spanish
you should get more credit 4 these vids your so good keep it up
anyone else noticed when you throw a batarang to joker's picture at 2:20, the batarang will stay on it even if you leave the area.
I love the arkham asylum musics and I like the sad music of batman parents to pay the respect of batman's parents
I never realized the people hanging were lunatics. I assumed they were just inmates who accidentally found wonder city and were killed by ninjas.
Me too!
also there's a giant picture of the joker when you go to the party in asylum where the entrance has joker's face on it, and when you go through the back entrance in the steel mill, the same painting is on the outside of the door
In that window with banes teddy I think is one of the mannequinns in which you have to scan in AA in order to complete the humpty dumpty riddle.
In side mission: hot and cold - Freeze cluster grenade, when you go to lift shaft, you can find fireworks probably from Batman AA.
You can also see a very small Titan box on the shelving unit in Joker's office...
Doesn't seem likely, the Joker-Penguin feud is desribed in the riddles, so it's more likely just an extension of that.
In hush's hideout you can see cans with Arkham logos on them in the fridge.
how to get the lunatics character trophy?
I also found one in the Museum. Before you go into the room Freeze was held up at, go to the gate and looks to the right before you slide under it. You'll see Roman's mask from the asylum that was hanging from Dr. Young's wall in her office.
I have never figured that out.
+Batman wait aren't you supposed to be providing the answers? You're BATMAN!
brandon viles do you mean black mask's mask on the skeleton?
Your Videos are amazing.. Hugh fan
awesome : )
Otis the teddy bear just seems like a reused asset more than an Easter egg since he's in a couple places in Arkham City
Next to the joker gotham mag cover in the GCPD building, i think the blueprint is the same as crane's in AA. Also there's paperwork with info of Prometheus.
Arkham Asylum and city has the best music in my opinion because of Nick Arundel he didn’t do it for Orgins or Knight so that’s why it kinda feels different and that’s cool how music kind a makes everything different
Well that and, if you look at Hugo Stanges character trophy he is holding a clip board and if you look at the clip board it reads BATMAN in red and VERY BOLD PRINT.
This same clip board can be found on Arkham Asylum at the party when one of the Joker's thugs at the front of the entrence. He says "You can't come in if your not on the list.....lets seee..B...Bane....no...ahhh here it is Batman" and its in the same fashion with the name BATMAN across the whole clip board in red.
You forgot to mention the Asylum books from the Arkham library, as well as some of the Arkham Asylum terminals (the only one I found was in GCPD lab)
i think the doll at the end foreshadows clayface being in the game
I really, really can't wait for the next game in the series.
You forgot the clipboard that Hugo Strange holds for is character trophy is the same one that one of the thugs uses in Arkham Asylum (It's the "guest list" that has BATMAN in giant red letters and you can see it before you go to Joker's "celebration")
Another one is the card joker leaves in the GCPD safe with the cure in is the same as the one that shoots out of the present in the same room you find dr youngs formula
wow thats pretty cool...didnt notice that
World's greatest detective,BatmanArkhamVideos
that damn bear still haunts me in my dreams
Don't mess with Osito!!
I know right scares the hell out of me
Awesome
Look at hugo strange trophy, it has the guest list from arkham with the big batman on it
I know that. My point and opinion still stands. His Arkham Asylum suit had more detail, more blacker cape and cowl. In Arkham City, his suit lacks the detail it once had, and his cape and cowl are black, but give off a blue hue.
You are so right, i mean none of the other villains have ever posed a threat to anybody. so batman can now go home and rest.
The Teddy bear is also in Hush's hideout. It's sitting in the chair with it's face cut.
well yea he's in it. he's actually one of the riddler challenges you have to scan
Those robots in the underground Gotham surprised me...
No, it was Basil Karlo, but they have placed the mannequin there to a reference for Payne...
That teddy bear is in a MILLION places throughout the game
Bane is originating from Hispanic descent, (Said he was imprisoned in Santa Prisca, a fictional country in the Carribean, for what it says in the comics.) He called Dr. Young a witch. (She is the Asylum's newest doctors who formed the Titan Venom.)
dont know if it counts but what about harley quinn's old costume she used at arkham asylum? dosent that count as another souvenir?
i allways wondere where the hell those lunatics are in the game! u get a model of them, but they where not in the game! but now now i know it! thanks!
Yeah, that was the hat she used in the comics and the animated series.
next to clay face room in arkham asylum there is a skull on the wall and its enlarge on the wall by where you find the mannequin
What is the name of the music sample from Arkham Asylum that you played in this?
I agree, not only were the lunatics creepy, but they didn't make sense in the universe they were like zombies not people.
I saw Osito multiple times throughout Arkham city
so many Ositos, so little time.
Could be but then he'd have to use a drug of some sort to appear dead to Bat's detective mode, and it would have to be pretty powerful to beat that kind of tech ^^. Don't remember where the flashback scenes take place but I'd go for the dead henchman it's not like they're a rare resource XD
I always thought that when u see banes bear the first time, it was a easter egg of Mad Hatter
when calendar man escapes, there is someone hanging from the roof much like the lunatics from arkham asylum from 1:08 - 1:42. What is hanging from the ceiling of calendar man's cell when he escapes. I'm curious now. It looks like it could be a thug but now seeing the lunatics hanging the exact same way, does it have something to do with hugo strange?
Onde fica a salina com os cartazes do coringa beijado no arkham asylun?
Scarecrow scared the shit out of me
@FreelancerMICHIGAN There are actually 4 clayfaces. Just search thrm up if you want some more information.
those lunatics used to scare the crap outta me
0:56 I knew about this for a long time) In the Arkham Asylum, the Joker freed them. They are suspended on top with prisoners. 2:44 I also knew about this)
OMG that bear is following you!
at the end looking at the mannequins solitary arm in the room with clayface. the hand looked like it had clay on it. wonder why ;P
MY GOD THIS GAME IS SO UNBELIEVABLY DETAILED! even lil things that noone would ever find, yup it's got them too!
Bane must have had a lot of teddy bears
The Arkham Asylum crates in the very beginning of the video kind of look like they say "MarkHam" almost like a reference to Mark Hamil, our wonderful Joker.
Those lunatics gave me the creeps in Arkham Asylum with their screeches and yells!
There’s a security camera in the steel mill and it shows a cell from the asylum
wait what dlc are you using cause some areas look like ones from asylum
So was his suit in general, I LOVED THE AA SUIT and was sorta disappointed with the AC suit, Wish the Armored Suit from AA was in AC either unlockable or downloadable.
Ha! Even better one at 3:52!
Those damn bears are everywhere, not much an easter egg if anyone could find them.
This is an alternate outfit, its not the default one he wears in the game. The default one is the exact same one he wears in Asylum.
That was clayface formed as Commissioner Gordon.
That is a riddle in Asylum.
You forgot one thing, when you enter the museum there's a dinosaur you go to the right side of it and down the stairs there's a glass with a button it has scarface in it press the button and he DANCES!!
Would you please do a video showing all of the batman: arkham asylum easter eggs?
Osito is freaking scary
ahhhhhhhhhhhh arkham asylum such good memories
I have a possible easter egg for BatmanArkhamVideos
Play the main story line
Get to the part at the Museum where you face the shark (after getting the freeze gun disruptor and before fighting Penguin at the Iceberg Lounge)
When the shark attacks the raft you're on, allow the shark to kill you
Then when the Game over screen with Penguin is shown, read the hint:
"Use Batman shark repellant: A flurry of punches"
An obvious reference to the 1960s Batman movie
